About Fryes Measure Mill
Frye's Measure Mill is the last remaining water-powered mill in the country. Listed on the Registry of Historical Places the Mill has been in existence since 1800! Bring your whole family to come and enjoy the 7 room gift shop, treasures for everyone! Take the self guided museum tour and step back into the past...Take a picnic to the graceful waterfall and surrounding pond. If you're lucky you might see the resident Blue Heron. Take a peek at the old fire house and see the old time fire engines of our ancestors! The nearby Blacksmith shop building marks the site of Wilton's very first working blacksmith shop. Come to Frye's Mill and experience a timeless magical feeling that will transport you back in time!

This was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. The on site shop is filled with beautiful and interesting goods mostly hand made. Definitely do the mill tour while there; a window into the past but still in use!
