We visited Wolfeboro this summer and found small town charm everywhere. This was a cute gift shop. Loved the pen selection.

I will not support this store anymore after I saw the way the elderly female manager spoke to her employee. When the young girl asked if she could switch to the other cooler room for a bit (with a fan because it was an extremely hot day) the manager completed berated her and said that it wasn't very kind of her to expect someone else to work in that heat and completely shamed her in front of me and other patrons. So totally disgusting to watch, especially as a local. I will take my money elsewhere. Do better, Black's.

Very touristy place that offers all kinds of gifts and toys. If you come to Wolfeboro you go to Blacks.

Black's has a big selection of very nice greeting cards, as well as t-shirts, sweatshirts and other NH themed stuff. I can always find unique birthday or Christmas cards there. One star off for letting customers bring their dogs into the store, and for the girl at the checkout counter blowing me off when I quietly told her that I don't like dogs in a store I'm shopping in.Edit: thank you for your honest and courteous reply.Review edited. 9/26/22

I have been going to Blacks literally since I could not walk yet. Let's just say a VERY LONG TIME My all time favorite was the weather church. On a postcard and would change color I BELIEVE from BLUE to an ORANGISH color 'when a change is due'. The Hansel and Gretel Shop carried them as well. I still have some of my Cats Meow wooden 'structures' of Blacks (of course), Julie's Dress Shop, Melvin Village Church and Calefs. It was great fun to go by boat to get the Sunday paper, at LEAST one pack of gum/candy to split between us kiddos and then enough donut holes from the Yum Yum Shop to last the boat ride back to 19 Mile Bay and then MAYBE one bag for family that did not go on the boat ride!! I had a Wolfeboro 'Oldest Summer Resort in America' for years when I lived in SoCal. Blacks was/is a rite of passage for many of us Baby Boomers!!

Our go-to stop when visiting downtown Wolfeboro - lots of apparel, souvenirs, and other fun things to choose from. The kids are a little sad that the Penny machine is gone and the moose no longer talks, but we still enjoy the store.

In all the years that Black's has existed I like it's current evolution the most! The addition of Paper, Pen, & Palette upstairs fills a void that Wolfeboro has has since the Stationary Shop's untimely closing.
