We enjoyed browsing the selection of baby toys and supplies when we visited the store. The selection, while small, was well thought and reasonably priced. However, when a woman who worked there (possibly the owner?) came in the door with her Weimaraner, the dog barked and lunged at me while I was holding my baby. The woman dismissed the behavior, telling us, “He’s friendly.” This was clearly not a friendly behavior and poses a risk to children.Good selection of stuff, but not a place to shop with babies or small children.

What a great store! Great selection of unique and locally made items that are actually affordable !!! And if you’re a fudge lover you won’t be disappointed, the adorable owner of the shop makes it herself, it’s the BEST!!!

What a wonderful store. Great gifts. We bought a wreath made by a local artist. It was very reasonably priced. Sadly, they were out of fudge, but the local resident who was in the store told use it’s worth the drive back. Also, Mr. Cooper was best store greeter we encountered on our trip... if you go to only one store in Wolfeboro, make it this one.

I visited this store for the first time this weekend and just fell in love with it and it's items. Having lived in Wolfeboro for many years previously I so appreciate all of the WOLFEBORO ITEMS. The Wolfeboro Candle Company has a fabulous collection but the Granite State Forest candle is amazing.

Although I'm not a fan of their shop (they sell lots of handmade pottery, candles, pillows, etc), I always come here for their homemade fudge. In fact I never go anywhere else! I strongly suggest coming here for some of the best fudge you'll ever have.

When it comes to fudge, I've never had better. Every fudge I try is measured against the perfection of the Straw Cellar's fudge. It's exceptionally creamy, never grainy, very flavorful but not too sickly sweet... it's just amazing. Favorites of mine are plain ol' chocolate, which is divine, and Penuche (pen-u-chee) which is a rich brown sugar flavor that's really hard to find outside of New England. It's $12 a pound, but that gets you a lot and is about par for the course as far as fudge prices go. They'll give you little samples too if you're finding it hard to choose between their 10+ flavors. Bottom line- THIS IS THE BEST FUDGE IN THE WORLD GO GET YOU SOME NOW.

The Straw Cellar has moved, but they still sell their amazing fudge! Just down the road near the railroad station.

Delicious fudge, good book selection, great corny knicknacks. It's a good place to waste some time in Wolfeboro, or grab a last-minute birthday gift.
