“Five-Star Review for Dollar General – Absecon, New Jersey Don is an excellent employee who consistently demonstrates a willingness to help customers whenever he can. His helpful attitude, dedication, and customer service deserve recognition and appreciation. Don and the entire team at Dollar General in Absecon are doing a great job, and their hard work should not go unnoticed. I also want to bring an important matter to the attention of Dollar General’s district management and corporate leadership: the employees who keep these stores operating deserve fair, competitive, and significantly improved compensation. Retail work is demanding, requiring patience, long hours, customer service, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, often under challenging conditions. With New Jersey’s high cost of living, rising gas prices, inflation, housing expenses, and other everyday necessities, it is increasingly difficult for hardworking employees to make ends meet. Compensation should reflect both the demands of the job and the economic realities employees face in this state. I strongly encourage Dollar General’s corporate leadership and district management to review the wages of Don and the entire Absecon team immediately, maximize available pay increases, and expedite any eligible promotions, raises, and compensation improvements. Employees who demonstrate dedication, reliability, and a commitment to serving customers should have meaningful opportunities to earn better wages and advance within the company. Don deserves recognition, and so does the entire staff. A company that values its employees should demonstrate that appreciation not only through words, but also through fair wages, improved compensation, and real opportunities for financial growth. Thank you, Don, and the entire Dollar General team in Absecon, New Jersey, for the work you do. I hope corporate leadership and district management take this feedback seriously and act promptly to ensure that your hard work is properly recognized and rewarded.”

“In the past this store had been completely disorganized. The isles were always blocked by carts of merchandise and fallen items. Recently, there has been a tremendous change. The store is clean and orderly. The shelves are stocked neatly. The staff is friendly.”
