Hot foods table does not exist at this location. Bought the “bbq” chicken and potato wedges, bbq chicken had no bbq sauce on it whatsoever and the chicken was flavorless and slimy on the inside, potato wedges were dry and flavorless. My coworker bought the chicken noodle soup from the hot table and turns out it was only broth. A lot of customers shopping with their dogs in the store around the produce and bakery area.

Great store. I am from the west coast and saw a number of name brand items with flavors i haven't seen before. Like bacon and cheddar cheez-its and coconut butter nature Valley biscuits. Can't wait to try them both.

I love ShopRite in Absecon. I live in Egg Harbor Township and there’s one 10 minutes from me, but I prefer to go to ABSECON. The store is laid out very nicely. It’s easy to find things. Everything’s always so fresh. And they have a big selection. Plus the employees are always so nice and helpful. I don’t mind driving the 20 minutes out of my way to go shopping there. I would highly recommend it. Just wish they would have more cashiers sometimes it gets a little backed up, especially on the weekend.

As a frequent shopper for the past 20 years, I’ve noticed a significant decline in customer service at this particular store. Yesterday, I experienced a combative encounter with an employee at the “Customer Service” counter who was proud to tell me her name was Josie after I asked her to call the manager due to her hostile behavior toward me while
I was returning an item with a receipt. Josie questioned my method of payment and told me she “wasn’t going back and forth with me” when I was explaining to her that I used Apply Pay for my form of payment which is why my receipt indicated contactless. After an exchange of words which made me feel antagonized and after proudly telling me her name, Josie refused to call the manager upon my request. She said, “I ain’t calling nobody. You call him.” Josie’s lack of professionalism, lack of courtesy, lack of customer service skills, lack of conflict-resolution, and lack of knowledge regarding transactions involving Apple Pay clearly indicates that she needs to receive intense training and that she should not be assigned to the Customer Service desk until that training has been completed. Prior to my encounter with her, I overheard her conversation with a customer who she was ringing up before me. The customer informed Josie that she had a bag with items she previously bought. Josie said, “I don’t care what’s in your bag. Im not checking it because I’m not security, and I don’t get paid enough to do all of that. I don’t care what people take from this store.” Not only does Josie not care about the way she treats customers, she clearly does not care enough about acting ethically and carrying out ShopRite’s core mission and values, since she “doesn’t get paid enough.”
I asked another employee to call the manager and was told he was unavailable due to a customer having a medical emergency. I called the store about an hour later and was told the manager was gone for the day. I also called the Corporate office, but it was after 6:00 p.m., and the office was closed.

It was hard to digest the level of rudeness I experienced at the Service desk.

A much smaller store than most but always very clean and organized and employees are always so nice! A special shout out to Keisha for keeping the plants beautiful! So many just let them die and it’s sad.

Horrible shop and deliver. Staff is slow and rude. They always complain about doing their job. Shop rite uses door dash for deliveries and they DO NOT TIP THE DRIVERS. Very unprofessional.

This Shoprite is terrible, never has anything stocked. There always out of fresh items. The Deli section is horrible compared to ShopRite's under different ownership. Do yourself a favor a drive the extra 10 minutes to Galloway.

Purchased 2 containers of Cottage cheese. Opened 1 ist week no issues. Week 2 I opened the second one and it was black on1/4 of the container. The expiration date was 2/25/25 and should have been good. When I took it back they found my receipt on my price plus card and said I needed to return it in the first week. The clerk also pointed out the there was a small tear which probably caused the issue. I informed them I don’t open items until I am ready to use it and the date was still good. They still refused and said to me what do I want to do, I told her throw it in the trash it’s bad. I went and purchased another one and there on the shelf they had ones that were going out of date that were older than the one I had brought back. Meanwhile they had security come up to intimidate me, big whoop. They asked me to take the manager back and show him the dated product and he took about ten containers and put them in the trash. What a waste of product.
