Can’t say enough good things about my first month at Andover daycare . Helen is wonderful , she allows my Mason to come in on mommy’s schedule . Which is everything to me . He started at 4 months and I was.very sad and scared , she slowly transitioned me and him into the school. Thank you again .

I spoke with Helen laverta, apparently the owner and the individual running the daycare, and not only was she rude and unprofessional, she answered with animosity that she refuses to provide me with an attendance sheet for my daughters participation in daycare and extending to say she wouldn’t even recognize if my daughter was present that day?!? Helen stated she was an accredited facility for providing daycare in NJ, and although she knew I shared joint legal custody of my daughter with her mother, refused to give me any information, not even her attendance and presence in the daycare, and then overextended herself to exclaim, “we do not use a curriculum, and do not care if accredited locations are required to have a curriculum!” This made me very concerned as I’m an astrophysicist who has worked closely with and for NASA, operate a local observatory and telescope in NJ specifically for educational purposes, and am also a very current and active participant in NJ Freemasonry, was denied my legal right to obtain information about my daughter who I share 50/50 legal custody with mom?!? This created a major alarm of concern… the fact that there is no curriculum for children that is followed, the reluctance to refuse a parent knowledge of their own child and then further explained that there was “no time to talk” as there isn’t enough staff to compensate her absence from the daycare class she attended?!? Not only did this worry me but left space for major concern if this facility could care for any child let alone a child in need of important attention?!? This worries me of not only this daycare, but if they are accredited, then the entire state of NJ and their handling of daycare and their accreditation of daycare facilities?!? Being an alumni of Montessori I know the difference between teaching children independence and neglecting children when understaffed and unfortunately this facility not only seems that they’re understaffed but also are incompetent and ill equipped to handle any child let alone a myriad of children in their care?!? I pride myself in character, intelligence, and quality of parenting and at every checkpoint I have been reassured that not only have I accomplished multiple certificates for parenting courses but that I am a holder of two separate bachelor degrees, one in physics with a concentration in astrophysics, and a bachelors degree in engineering with a minor in mathematics I also am your local astrophysicist operating the local observatory in NJ, but also am a full fledged master Freemason recognized by the state of NJ and also an employee cleared to work for NASA!? I’m in disbelief of the ignorance and lack of acceptance/professionalism displayed by this owner according to the law, and facility, which worries me for the safety of my daughter but also for the safety of all children who have the unfortunate situation that forces them to attend here?!? I implore you to find another facility no matter how much this might save you, because the people helming this organization are not only criminal but completely inadequate in caring for more than one child at a time as explained and displayed in my prior mentioning s!? Please save you and your child from this atrocity and find another facility to care for your child for this is only one of the many, many, stories that exist for the inadequacy of this daycare and if you will look to my review file on google I'm a novice in reviews which means my comments matter and will always be represented as such and give my name against this very inadequate and inappropriate daycare that currently presides in Andover NJ ON MAIN STREET….AVOID THIS DAYCARE AT EVERY MEANS NECESSARY IT’LL BE THE BEST DECISION YOU’VE EVER MADE FOR YOUR CHILD!!!! HEATH MY WARNING AND PROTECT YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN!!! Sworn to by a master mason and an astrophysicist who has been employed by NASA!!!!!!!! Good luck, God bless, and all the best!

Andover Children’s Academy is truly a hidden treasure for any child fortunate to attend. Our daughter has attended the past few years and we couldn’t be happier with each and every experience we have all encountered. It holds the biggest hearts starting with the lovely owner Helen and many other incredible teachers. The knowledge and friendships that have been bestowed upon our daughter are one of a kind full of heart, academic excellence and awesome social building blocks. I wouldn’t trust past negative reviews.. If ever in doubt when on your hunt for the best place to send your child(ren) we suggest you go see and feel it for yourself. Meet personally with the wonderful big hearted owner Helen, meet with the lovely Ms. Karen or Ms. Sandy who have many incredible and knowledgeable years experience there or even other parents that actually have their children there. You’ll be sure to witness the children skipping in or out with the biggest of smiles, or sharing in excitement their stories from their awesome day! We are truly blessed for all that Andover Children’s Academy has nurtured and has undeniably instilled a profound foundation for our daughters future.

Miss Hellen is horrible. My son was a couple months old when he started attending. I pulled him out when he was about a year old.PROS : - kids have other kids to interact with-staff is nice -local area with a big back yard-kids have picture day and pictures turn out really nice.CONS :-Miss helen only cares about her granddaughter who is also attending the school.-Kids are never cleaned up after they come back in from being outside-constantly sent home with wet diaper and horrible rashes-miss Hellen has her "punish" chair where she makes kids sit alone in a wooden chair when they've been bad. - Staff is teens/young adults just looking for jobs no one has child backround I know this for a FACT because one of the girls is my cousins friend who works there.-my son was not allowed to bring his binky. Why?-my son was not progressing in speech nor socializing with children correctly.-Miss helen told me to my face "hes just a little to hard to deal with" ABOUT MY SON.-my son is very active so he doesn't want to sit in circle time, they would force him to so he would get upset and this is why she told me "hes hard to deal with"-tuition is a JOKE almost 300$ a WEEK for my child to be ignored, sent home dirty, and be made out to be some terror who is "hard to deal with "-Miss helen sent me threatening voice mails (that I wish I could include) telling me AFTER I pulled my son out that I owed her money ($200 plus) when in reality I owed her $45. BECAUSE of this she threatened to call norwescap (agency that helps with childcare) and tell them that I owe a balance with her school. This was AND I QUOTE "Luca (my son ) will not be able to attend anywhere until I get paid"she is a selfish selfish woman. she told me "I know dad isn't in the picture but I still expect my money" it was the worst decision of my LIFE to bring him to this school. I would prefer Early Discovery Learning Center in Stanhope theyre so nice so kind and so polite staff has been there 20 plus years. GOOD RIDANCE MISS HELLEN.

Woman who runs the place over populates rooms and doesnt hire enough staff to maintain them. Took a tour of the school and it was a disaster. Seems like she's completely out of touch with reality and how children need to be cared for (boomer).

I read one of the one-star reviews and I must say that my experience with Andover Children's Academy was nothing like that. The owner and teachers were always attentive and let me know if there were any issues during the day - be it with food, behavior or otherwise. The kids always liked going to daycare and brought plenty of arts and crafts home that they made during the day. The teachers are dedicated and take the time to get to know each child individually. While a lot of parents may need daycare as early as 6 weeks after the birth of their child, we started when the kids were 2.5 - 3yo. That age seemed perfect for them as they had the basic social behavior learned from home and adjusted to the Academy very quickly. Parents looking for daycare in/around Andover should consider Andover Children's Academy and visit the place personally to talk to the owner and staff about their needs.

I do not recommend. There are too many children and not enough adults. I was told by a staff member that that had too many kids one day. I'm pretty sure that is illegal.Anytime I would ask a question about my daughter, no one had an answer. The owner just makes excuses for the staff and does not take responsibility for what goes on there. If I asked why they didn't feed my daughter the food I packed..."I don't know." My daughter had oatmeal one morning there for breakfast. When I picked her up there was oatmeal caked on to her shirt. I asked why she was not changed to a clean shirt, "I don't know." The person who did not know could have changed her. The owner said some parents don't want their child changed. I could not believe my ears when she said that. She would always have bruises and she even came home with a black eye. That was it for me. They are not paying attention to my child. I am very lucky that I found a daycare that cares about my daughter and knows everything when I pick her up at the end if the day.
