We recently had a wonderful experience with the entire process of adding to our family. Debbie, from OSCAR, was so patient with us. After introducing us to 6 pups and allowing us the time to make the best decision for us and Willow (previously Bear). We went home with the perfect little girl. Debbie was very informative and truly cared . We couldn't be any happier. Thank you to OSCAR for everything.

We have adopted 3 dogs from OSCAR. As part of the process, they allow for meet and greets including not only the human family, but also the future fur baby siblings.

I have had nothing but great experiences adopting dogs from OSCAR. The dogs are up to date medically, and become important family members. I have adopted from OSCAR twice, ten years apart due to the passing of the first dog I adopted. Both dogs are beautiful and smart. Please don’t hesitate to choose OSCAR for the adoption of your new furry family member.

After a year of searching for a second dog to bring into our family we found the perfect little pup at OSCAR. The process was seamless everyone I spoke to or met in person was absolute amazing. They all genuinely care about all the dogs at their facility. If you are look for an amazing rescue and staff look no further. Thank you all for our amazing little boy Grizzly (aka Dax)

We saw the dog we hoped to adopt listed on Facebook on the OSCAR site. She was one of two sisters. When we arrived at OSCAR, we had no intention on adopting two puppies but when we saw how close they were, we did not have the heart to separate them. We took both of them home and after an interesting and challenging first month, we are so glad that we did! They make us laugh every day and watching them grow and thrive warms our hearts and makes us proud to be their parents. The folks at OSCAR are professional, and compassionate. You can tell right from the moment you walk in that the welfare of the animals is their number one priority. I highly recommend adopting from them. Thank you Debbie and all the dedicated folks at OSCAR.

We adopted a puppy from this place in October. Her name was Candy Apple we since have changed it. We were assured she was in good health. We decided to have our vet get a look at her. She has been sick with Giardia since we got her! We have reached out to these people and they have ignored all of our attempts to contact them. I guess that's because I am asking for my money back for the adoption or for them to pay some of the vet bills. I now have spent over $500 in vet bills along with the $400 it cost to adopt her. We love the dog but cannot give this place any rating! If there was a rating less than zero they would get that! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! The dogs are not healthy!

We adopted our pup Nova (aka Charm) last November from OSCAR. She is a happy pup and the love they have the animals can be felt when you adopt from them. The process was thorough but not stressful. I would adopt from OSCAR again. Thank you OSCAR for all you do!

We had an application in. I actually submitted it twice and had to follow up to confirm they had it. They did not. I was emailed the questions and promptly answered them. They called my vet, and had a follow up question which I answered through email. I was never even called, everything was through email. They never called my references. I just don’t understand how they could say no without ever speaking with myself or my references. It’s very discouraging to deal with this situation. I understand they are volunteers, but it was still not a positive experience. We’ve adopted through other places with much better experiences.

I would recommend OSCAR for anyone who is looking for a new pet. Our family recent lost our dog and cat to cancer in June unexpectedly and it shattered us. We were looking for a new addition to our home and OSCAR has compassionate staff, a beautiful facility, and a variety of different pets to choose from. We ended up going with a beagle/english pointer mix and he is the perfect puzzle piece that has been missing from our home for months. Please consider OSCAR for your next adoption! Ask for Debbie and Taylor… they are wonderful!

Adopted our first pup from OSCAR and incredibly happy with the experience. The adoption process was quick and painless, they set us up with some basic supplies, toys, and food that our pup was being fed, and they were quick to communicate after the adoption when I had questions about training/behavior. I'm so glad that OSCAR rescued our sweet girl from a kill shelter to find us. Highly recommend!!!

I've adopted 3 dogs from OSCAR: Allie, Portia and Hershey. I've volunteered and even donated my car. This organization is simply the best. 100% of efforts and available funds is given to saving lives. If you are looking to adopt or donate to a worthy cause of a genuine and sincere non-profit organization, then choose OSCAR. There is simply nothing one can do, to warm the heart more, than to adopt a shelter animal. To respond to the people who left negative reviews. OSCAR was founded by an accountant who pursued her dream to save animals' lives in lieu of a non risky career in accounting. Her mother is retired and gives her heart and soul to each and every rescue. Nobody is getting rich working there. To post a nasty review is sheer ignorance. Ignorance because negativity only hinders the saving of lives. I am not an employee of OSCAR or even a friend. I am just telling the truth from my years of dealing with a professional organization committed to saving lives. There is no way OSCAR would do anything to tarnish its reputation because then less lives would be saved. Perhaps a mistake was made or there was a misunderstanding. This organization is "in the business of saving lives." Fact
