About Asbury Park Convention Hall
Asbury Park Convention Hall is an iconic and historic architectural building on the boardwalk, clearly visible from the beach. It is a majestic landmark with lots of windows and open spaces, though it shows signs of aging like rust and peeling paint. Ongoing renovations are visible, preserving this historic jewel. It is a perfect stop for shopping, sipping, and staying cozy indoors. Inside the open space, you will find a mix of unique shops offering clothing, accessories, home decor, and gifts, plus spots to grab coffee, desserts, snacks, and drinks. It hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including the Asbury Park Bazaar that highlight local makers. It is a nice place to enjoy the boardwalk and step indoors for a break from the weather or heat. The Hall follows seasonal boardwalk rules, with leashed and friendly dogs welcome from September 15th to May 15th, though main sit-down restaurants no longer allow dogs. The venue is described as artistically soulful and breathtaking, with a vibrant atmosphere mixing vintage charm and modern life. While there have been issues like closed public bathrooms or rude staff at one restaurant, the experience is often top-notch with friendly staff, fantastic acoustics, and a clean venue. It is a must-see destination and a vital part of Asbury Park's revitalization.
