Russo Music is 75 miles from me but worth the trip ! Expert guidance , total professional staff and top shelf environment and GEAR on hand to check out. This place is a guitarist’s heaven. It’s not really a place to find low level and starter instruments but it IS the place to find the top end gear you have been dreaming about. I have not been to their Phila store but Asbury Park and Hamilton are awesome. Check them out you won’t be disappointed.

Awesome. I usually go to GC but I was looking for some used pedals and found this place. They have a MASSIVE Selection of pedals and Amps(mainly new) They let you try it all out. (You need to ask but it's not a chain so totally acceptable and they don't hover over you like your typical small shop) Great Guitars and a higher end acoustics Room. Staff was great. Vibe was hip. Music was loud. 5 Stars. Will be Back.

Outstanding experiences at Russo Music, Asbury Park.
A cousin came for a visit from overseas and wished to look for a new bass guitar so off to Russo Music we went. My proficiency in all things bass guitar is nil but the staff at Russo were wonderful, attentive and very patient.
I highly recommend anyone seeking very knowledgeable direction on options for instruments to check them out.
While there, I inquired as to where I might have an antique mandolin refurbished for display purposes. The technician Pat was wonderful and let me know he would be able to do that for me. The mandolin has great sentimental value to me but I had confidence that Pat could do the job. The finished product is wonderful!

I've visited Russo Music many times over the past month and each time it's been a blast. The vibes are solid all around and everyone there is such a delight to interact with. Went to Russo Music in Asbury Park for the first time last week to buy an early Christmas present for my Dad. We called ahead to ensure they had the Taylor GS Mini model we were looking for and worked out a great deal over the phone. Drove over later that afternoon, played the Mini (50th anniversary) and decided it was the one. While they had the shop take a look at the guitar to make sure it was setup to Taylor's specs (just a slight tweak of the truss rod was all that was needed), we played a few acoustics that are way out of our league - but nice to do some dream-building. :) Friendly staff made the whole process quick and easy and we were on our way with the newest addition to our guitar family. Thanks for a great experience, we'll certainly be back!

After returning to Asbury Park a little over a year ago, I made it a habit to visit Russo every week. It felt like a place I belonged, a space where people came together to support and inspire creativity. A few months ago, I finally decided to take the leap and bought three guitars, wanting to bring that same creative energy into my own studio. Mike and the team were unbelievably patient and supportive, helping me find my dream guitars. You simply will not find a guitar and gear shop that can even come close to Russo. Not only do they have the highest quality gear around but their staff seem to be infinitely educated on just about everything in the shop. The workshop takes care of all of my personal as well as all of my clients setups and repairs. They never make you feel rushed or uncomfortable when you have questions and basically do anything they can to answer in an understandable way. I can’t say enough good things all around. If a six star review was possible, I’d try and leave ten. Russo is perfect.
