I always loved Dollar General. I lived in the Galloway area and I used to go there all the time. I have since moved to Egg Harbor Township. There’s two Dollar General locations in EHT, less than 15 minutes from my house. But I don’t like them as much as the one in Galloway. Often, I will take the trip to Dollar General in Galloway, especially if I’m gonna be in that area. It takes about 18 minutes from my house and is not a far drive. The Galloway location is larger than most and it’s very well organized. It is not a dollar store, but most of the items are cheap compared to the major stores and supermarkets. Everything has a place and the aisles are clearly marked. They really do have the best prices on laundry items, dish soap and beauty items. They also have many small departments such as bathroom, and kitchen, some lamps, automotive, greeting cards, school and craft items. They also have home decor and storage containers. A must have for the home. All at a great price. My only issue is that this location are promoting too many dollar items, not worthy of General Dollar’s standards. They now have a whole, dedicated dollar aisle. I purposely go to this Dollar General instead of the Dollar Tree. It’s just filled with cheap stuff that doesn’t work or is inefficient. Dollar General used to have the best generic bleach. It was comparable to Clorox and it was cheaper. Last time I was there, I looked all around for it, and they only had the $1 bleach. I was forced to buy it because of time constraints. Naturally, the bleach didn’t work well with my whites. That’s why I gave this location four stars. The only thing I get at dollar tree is my hangers for my clothes. They have good ones for a good price, but most of my shopping is done at Dollar General in Galloway. It’s located on Fifth Avenue, across the street from Wawa. They have some good prices and brand names. Just don’t lower your standards, Dollar General! I also wanted to mention there’s a $5 off coupon, when you spend $25 on Saturdays. You can download the digital on the app or ask them at the register for a paper coupon.

Every time I come in the store, the lady with the short haircut, the older lady with the short haircut with the glasses she always talking about some type of drama or gossiping about something to the point where I asked her where a certain item was and she said they no longer have it and I turned around and find it myself so its either you get some more professionalism get trained or something or find somewhere else to work, but yeah they need to handle that

Very clean and well organized. I got there early in the morning for a few essentials and it was surprisingly clean and organized. I’ve shopped at other Dollar Generals and the shelves are normally in a state of disarray but not here. The staff was helpful when I asked where the toothbrushes were ?. Would give a 5 Star but they were out of toothbrushes. I did get 4 of the 5 things on my list.

This store didn't have any Milk at all then I asked when will they have some they didn't know because the cooler was down yet there was so much cold soda in coolers. Staff wouldn't answer my questions and were just rude.

I’ve been to tons of Dollar Generals but this one is a mess!!! First off the cashiers there aren’t friendly and are eating and drinking behind the counter. Second they don’t have any grocery bags so you have to buy trash bags to put your items in to carry your things out the store. Where do they do that at??? Somebody needs to get this store in better shape and hire better people.

I go to this store almost every day. No more. The cashiers are rude and disrespectful and why wouldn't they be? Their manager is just as rude. He has defended them over a loyal customer every time. My last complaint was that the baskets were filthy. No one cleaned them. They were disgusting. When they were told about it by a district manager their solution wasn't to clean them, it was to throw them in the back and never put them out again. Tonight, I I was yelled at my the manager and the cashier, so I put my items down and said I am never coming back and the cashier said, that's ok we don't want you.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. THEY NEED TO CLOSE IT UNTIL THEY HIRE A COMPLETELY NEW STAFF.
But it it doesn't matter to me because I am never going back. Hit these companies where it hurts, THE WALLET!

Walked up from the Marina. The walk itself was not littered with garage...and unkempt areas. The store itself had many bare shelves and although said had beer- it did not.Would not recommend especially for provisions.

I'm convinced that this is just an AC thing. How rude and ignorant and UNCLASSY these workers are. Always on the phone on their little personal calls. Never greet you back. Give you a stank face and attitude. Shelves always empty and never any carts to utilize. If you're not making sure shelves are fully stocked especially the seasonal isle! And making sure everyone has access to a cart and keeping the store clean and approaching people with a light attitude and helping customers then WHY ARE YOU THERE WORKING? if you're that miserable go somewhere else!!! These cashiers they hire don't even know what to do when it comes to certain things meanwhile other do so that says to me not everyone is trained properly. This place needs new management AND STAFF! THAT ACTUALLY CARE!
