I never write reviews let alone bad ones but I do not recommend this shop! As soon as I asked the price for a wash blow dry curl they immediately analyzed my hair touching it & talking in Spanish as if they were charging me based on the texture of my hair. They also tried to charge me $45 for curls just for my hair to only last 1 DAY !!! I took my hair out my wrap the next morning it was completely greasy I had to put it in a ponytail and I was late for work because of it !! Extremely disappointed! Im from Philly and go to the Dominicans all the time and I am used to a certain standard when going. There obviously did not wash my hair hood enough! Don’t waste your time!Services: Blowouts

I came to Myra a year ago with out-of-control long hair and was diagnosed with alopecia. I don't trust anyone with my hair but her. I travel from Mt. Poconos 3 hours away just to come to her shop. She is the best and the prices are great.

I cannot stress how these ladies starting from the owner have so much professional knowledge. They know what they are doing and on point with getting you in and out love that Myra explains the products, explains coloring process she is just phenomenal and is always available any day but Sunday she has failed me yet …. I travel to AC fairly often for work and found Mayra's Beauty Salon on one of my walkabouts 5 years ago. I've been going there (from NYC 2.5 hour drive each way) ever since. It's worth it the trip!!! From wash and set to specialty hair coloring, Mayra gets it right all the time. The wait is usually less than 10 minutes. All the ladies are friendly. The establishment is always clean and they adhere to COVID-19 Precautions/Protocols which makes me feel safe. The prices are beyond reasonable especially for the level of service they provide. Traveling from MA, I was looking for a local hair salon and I’m so glad I found Mayra’s Hair Salon! It’s a quick Uber ride from the boardwalk and the service was ? *chef’s kiss.
