If the Chelsea lobby and the Havana lobby weren't closed, and if you didn't have to drag your luggage across the entire spanse of the whole casino, I would say this is a very nice place to stay. I really love the bistro restaurant, the ocean views from the tables are breathtaking. I never win anything here though, but I never win anything anywhere. NO luck.

Thanks to HUZAIFA in customer service for making my trip a very enjoyable one. If your staying at The Chelsea Tower it’s better to do valet than self park which in the Tropicana garage cost $10.00 per day. The distance from self park to The Chelsea Towers walking is quite lengthy. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and shopping. Keep in mind your @ a resort and this is not a all inclusive resorts so everything is crazy expensive. Boardwalk and beach is right there @ your doorway.btw, do not do not check in with the kiosk you will regret it.Rooms: Awesome ?? but excluding a microwave!Nearby activities: Right by the boardwalk

It was different that's for sure. Rooms seem to have been a throw back to the 70's and not in a good nostalgic way. The room decor was brown, white, and teal. It was dark and too much BROWN very depressing. The front door had a chain on it(like in the projects), wicker on the cabinets and etching on the closet door and the cable was a throw back also where you get the green screen with the stations on it. The pool was lovely clean and great music. Thank Goodness at least it was clean and it was sunny outside when we arrived. Not my taste.

We stayed at the Tropicana Hotel in Atlantic City in the Chelsea Tower. I was very disappointed when we arrived. First off , we were on different floors and requested to be in rooms next door to each other. Secondly, there was NO CHAIN on our door. We had to place a chair under the door handle to make sure no one entered. The windows was dirty, an behind the chair by the window, the wooden piece on the wall was broken. It was a mess in there. It was a long line to check in, and they were very slow. People booked certain rooms and weren't available. They need to get it together. I was told I would get me rewards after we checked and still not received. It was our Girls Trip, and it was horrible. As we always do, make the best out of any situation. I took a video of the room just in case I didn't receive my deposit back. Just because you see me smiling, I was not pissed. After finally getting to our room and going out to have drinks....you see the smile. SMHRooms: Horrible, no chain on the door, windows dirty. A MESS.

No grab bar or seat in the shower, which I consider extremely dangerous. There is no service in the room, and there was no person at the main desk to even ask for towels. Elevators were extremely slow, and the sensors were not set to prevent me, a disabled person, from getting slammed on entering or exiting. It was not a good experience, and it was a shame because the rooms were beautiful. The only good part was the restaurants located in the hotel.

When we first arrived to Tropicana Hotel, at the valet parking entrance, employees were directing incoming guests to use the electronic kiosks, in lieu of waiting in the hour long line to check-in with a real person. From my own observations of others and my own experience, the kiosks are a waste of time, they do not work as intended and it was unable to read the scan it took of my driver's license, so I got into the long line close to 30 minutes after I would have if I had not gone to the kiosk at all! ? ...talk about infuriating & frustrating.Chelsea Tower has been acquired by The Tropicana. Although it has been connected to the rest of the Tropicana Hotel, there is an approximately 2 block, indoor walk to get to it. The Chelsea Tower has a lobby, however, it never has any personell or security guards occupying any part of it, nor did I ever see security guards even patrolling there. On our first night, we took a cab to the Chelsea's" lobby close to midnight and found we were not able to enter the building from that point! We had to walk around the entire building and enter through the Tropicana's valet entrance to the main hotel/casino.Our room was nice and we did enjoy tantalizing oceanfront views, yet still, the outside portion of the windows was filthy, partially obscuring the view at times. My wife and I stayed on the 18th floor of the Chelsea Tower. We found out that room service was non-existent and there was no ice machine on our floor; only one vending machine with water, soda, cracker, and chips - very few choices. After spending an entire day on the beach and lugging all of our stuff back to our room, my passkey for the door to our room did not work - we were locked-out. I immediately called the hotel number and spoke to a switchboard operator who forarded me to the front desk, where I never got to speak to anyone... I was on hold for 23 minutes, before I accidentally hung up. When I called back, I picked a different option, was directed to security and after explaining my situation and verifying who I was, she said she was manager for security and would be coming to our room herself. Quin got to our room within minutes, opened our door to let us in. She even went beyond our expections by going back down to the front desk to get us new keys and walked all the way back up to our room, to give them to us! We were and are very thankful for Quin; she exemplifies the true spirit of service which Atlantic City casinos in 2023 seemed to have forgotten, from when Atlantic City was at the top of their game.Lastly, the Atlantic City boardwalk is not nice anymore; your best bet will be to avoid it as much as possible. It's full of vagrants, homeless, pan-handlers and drug addicts. As you walk along the boardwalk, aras of cheap beer, old nasty urine, and whiffs of marijuana fills the air. Many businesses along the walk have shuddered and fled this new Atlantic City atmosphere. The beach is still really nice with no beach tag requirement.

It’s a hike and a half to get from the garage to the room.Very difficult to find the tower in the casino.Room was dated with wallpaper peeling at the seems. The hallways were extremely stuffy at 79 degrees, and the walls/elevators were dirty.

What a mess! Chelsea tower has an exit only door on Chelsea Avenue with no concierge service, so in order to enter you must enter through South Tower and take elevator to 5th Floor and walk the bridge to another elevator. This tower is away from all restaurants/clubs/casinos. Tropicana AC failed me by having mutliple check in/out kiosks out of order and not working to check out because apparently my room # was inaccurate after ID and check in confirmation#, so I literally waited like 1 hour to check in and out; Once I attempted to check out, I was told by service desk that I was already checked out so I waited for no reason. The check in/out service desk needs a better system and more workers! 5 foot pool was mediocre.

Chelsea at the Tropicana is nice. 15-20 minute non stop walk to room from self park. Close to beach. If your bringing kids for the boardwalk fun this is too far to walk over and over back and forth. Rooms were comfortable. House keeping is very helpful.Noteworthy details: Get ready to WALK!!!
