“It's such a cute gift shop. Its alot bigger than it looks, and they seem to have something for everyone. There are so many amazing handmade items. You will not regret your visit to this hidden gem!! “One of my favorite local businesses and is one I hope stays around for a very long time. The owner is so friendly I enjoy chit chatting with her when I’m there. Also decent pricing, I’ve come back over the years I’ve been here and always have a 5/5 experience. The decoration there is unique in the sense that you will not find the same kind of items just anywhere else. The variety of items offered are all adorable for any occasion and there’s a lot of great gift potential in there :-) as well as the jewelry, as can be seen with the bracelet and earring set. It’s much loved but after not being worn for several months it got the silvery tarnished look so I’ll have to clean that, but that’s not a problem, just an inconvenience if anything
More importantly, I’d like to address the salt shakers. They’re so cute, and match our set at home well, but unfortunately they are nonfunctional as the holes do not go all the way through, so you can’t actually shake anything out of them. We noticed this when washing them as water was not dripping out, but we still kept them because we hope to find a way to fully drill through. Despite this, family still loves going here and we do not think negatively of the business for it and will continue to support it for many years to come”

“We absolutely love Across the Way! We stop in here every time we visit the area and they always have some of the most unique items and gifts here. Everything from the toys to the cards, gifts, and jewelry is always interesting and unique and we leave with something. Be sure to check out the other location on Washington Street in Cape May.”

Villa Gourmet is a wonderful place to find the perfect collection of gifts for that special occasion that needs more than just a simple card or flowers. The owner, Tara, is so knowledgeable and helped me put together a wonderful anniversary gift for my son and daughter-in-love. I’m terrible at picking gifts!! Each piece is unique and beautifully crafted, making it hard to choose just one. The real highlight, though, was meeting the owner, who warmly shared their family’s incredible story (from Cape May to Stone Harbor, Stephanie’s art decorating the walls) and the origins of the bags.
