The unloading process at this location was 5 star. Quick and easy. Delivery drivers were on time and friendly. The customer service of the company on the phone sucks. Every employee will say something different and noone knows whats going on. And billing was a mess which is not ok when its over 2k of money coming and going. I hope to never use them again.

Great all around , alot i can say from Beginning to end but to point out the best part of the move, the drop off driver Sam and the pick up Driver Michael are who i would like to say where the best part of my Experience , made operating complicated machinery look easy and interesting to watch , they had no problems Accommodating my very complicated instructions and request for the placement , thanks to the whole pods team big thanks to the driver/machine Operators michael and sam for being so friendly and Professional, will need storage again for a basement project sometime in the future , i will without a doubt be using them again

One driver ruined the whole experience - because the driver never showed up! Which left me in a bind. And the price quoted isn't the actual price charged. Other than those two MAJOR mishaps, the concept is great.

EDIT: Although the owner responded below promising to look into this issue, no one has responded to the complaint I sent as instructed.STAY AWAY!!!I had a terrible experience with PODS throughout my move from NJ to Florida. Looking from the outside, this company is trying to do well, but they have SERIOUS COORDINATION PROBLEMS.The initial scheduling and setup was easy enough. The customer representatives seem pretty available to answer you questions and are generally very kind. But the real service I got is the opposite. DO NOT TRUST THE CUSTOMER REPRESENTATIVES!!!Our initial delivery was scheduled to be fulfilled by the city service department (We lived in Hoboken, this was the only option). This means the container will be delivered at an exact time, and a 4 hour window will be given for you to load it up. DO NOT TRUST THIS because the delivery will never be on time. You really need to know how to manage your risks here. For us, the 4-hour window was scheduled to be 1pm - 5pm. I even tried to call on the same day to confirm about the time, and the answer I got is "it will be delivered exactly at 1pm". OK, so I had my movers come over and start to dissemble my furnitures and wrap them up in pads starting at noon. However, no one is showed up for the delivery. I kept calling the customer representative for 1.5 hours, and all I got was "I don't know what's happening with your local PODS facility, I can't get in touch with them". It was until 2:30pm that I got notified the container would not be delivered on that day, but the next morning instead. As a result, we had to pay our movers for the day, and pay them again for the next day to come back and load the container, which cost us ~$300 more. What's worse is, because all of our beds are taken apart, the entire family had no place to sleep for that extra night!! We ended up staying in a local hotel for ~$500 (two rooms). The rescheduled delivery was 8am the next morning. However, the driver arrived at around 9:00am. Same deal, there is no way to directly contact the driver and know where they are, you can only wait for their call, which might or might not come.OK after around a week, the container arrived at the facility in Tampa, FL. I made a call to change my destination delivery to a self pickup at the facility. Mainly for two reasons: 1. It turned out that the apartment I'm moving into doesn't allow long-term container parking. 2. I don't trust the delivery service anymore because what if it's delayed again? However, the customer representative LIED to me and didn't set up change at all. It was only discovered when I called in the day before the pickup to confirm about the time. So close! It almost ruined my plan to unload the container again! In summary, some advices if you still want to use PODS service (maybe because of the lower cost compared to out-of-state movers):1. Do not trust the delivery and pickup to be on-time. Always plan for the worst, do not let movers start before the container arrival. If you live in the city and had to use city service, just DO NOT choose PODS.2. Always confirm twice about the scheduling, because some customer representatives won't actually execute for you even they told you everything is all set.

After a year of singing PODS' praises for a local pick-up and storage, I did a long distance shipment. It was a bad experience, cumbersome to set up and poorly organized the the end.

Don't Trust Your Move To PODS in Avenel, NJWe arranged over a month in advance for a 16 foot POD to be delivered for our move. We also arranged for a crew from a different company (not PODS recommended) to load the POD the day after delivery, with pickup the following day, prior to the sale of our house. On the day of scheduled delivery, we received and email (not a phone call) that a unit was not available and was rescheduled for 3 days later, with pickup several days after our scheduled closing. This was crazy and would have been a nightmare to manage, except that a local mover stepped in with virtually no prior notification to manage our move on the day originally scheduled. How ridiculous, with everything involved in a move (personnel, equipment, and storage facilities) is it to think that PODS could reschedule at their convenience. Thanks to some local businesses for picking up the ball that PODS dropped. Don't risk your move or your peace of mind by using this uncaring company.

Good prompt delivery and pickup of my POD. Love the ease of use for the 30 days the POD was rented for. However, watch out for online scammers. A couple of days before pickup to return the POD a scammer tried to get my credit card info by emailing me with an email that looked liked it came from POD saying, "There was an issue with your card ending in *8218 when we tried to charge it for $105.56 on 08-10-2023. Fortunately, I could tell that the rest of the info in the email didn't make sense and that this was a fraud attempt. Beware!

The container they delivered leaked and was not usable. The company did nothing to help AND they did not return my money!!! I even sent pictures. I ended up having to move to a traditional storage unit which cost me more time and money. Don't trust this company. They keep telling me I will be contacted for a claim and it has been 7 days - and I am out almost 500.00 for nothing! They didn't even return the one month storage rental - I am not even storing anything at their facility. Total rip-off!!!

I had a very good experience renting a pod to store items during a my garage renovation. I thought the pricing was fair and the delivery and pickup were very smooth despite the challenging location.

My experience with PODs was very poor. Up front, the quote and booking process was simple enough. I requested a morning dropoff and a pickup time the following afternoon. I was told afternoon would be no problem at all. A few days later my POD was delivered by a courteous and professional driver. Great. I received an email that night about the pickup window for the following day that stated 7:30am-10am. No, no no, that is much too early. I needed the morning to continue to pack.I used their chat feature to make a change as soon as I saw the email, reminding the agent my original request was for afternoon pickup. She said it's not possible, and the driver is coming tomorrow morning. I said this is unacceptable, as I won't be ready. So I had the pickup canceled and pushed to the next day, which she told me would push the redelivery to my new address by two days. Instead of June 29 the POD would be delivered July 1. Sure, okay- not ideal but we'll manage.I checked on the status of the redelivery a few days before July 1. Nothing. "No scheduled dropoff". She never actually scheduled the redelivery!I called frantically to figure this out. The agent I spoke with said "sorry sir, yes it seems nothing was scheduled by that agent." The earliest available redelivery date he could offer was nearly two weeks AFTER the original July 1.Because we had all of our belongings in the POD and we had to work, we spent almost $1000 on furniture, kitchen and office equipment because of their blunder. No concern from PODs to make it right in any way.Mindblowing.Look elsewhere. Friendly drivers is about all this company offers outside of headaches and an empty wallet.

UPDATE: 5 Days Later. They have NOT contacted me about my issue besides their chat feature telling me someone will contact me. Grass is still destroyed where they drove.PODS driver drove on my brand-new lawn. No decency to tell me. Just drove off.I cannot get someone on the phone to file a complaint. On hold for over an hour. Transferred many times.

Miserable experience. Every single time I call they tell me something different about the process. They push the sale on you in the beginning by stressing how capacity fills up quickly and then you learn along the way all the various delays and upcharges. Not using again.

They did not make it clear that in addition to the monthly charge of 299 there would be a $100.00 plus dollar fee to deliver AND TO PICK UP the POD.
