“What a delightful experience. I drove over an hour for a Christmas gift because they are the /only/ store in New Jersey who carries a specific liquor a friend from Michigan has been missing, and was immediately greeted by a lovely young lady who was so knowledgeable and genuinely excited to tell me why that brand was so special and how it differs from the rest, answering all the questions i had. I called ahead the day prior to ensure they did carry the product like the manufacturing website claimed before driving out, and they assured me it would be in stock and would even put some aside for me if it was selling quickly before i got there. I will make the trek again in the new year because of how kind this family is. Thank you for everything!”

They open early & close late. Except Sunday, obviously. They COULD open at 9am on Sunday, but they don’t. Probably because Liquor Barn doesn’t open until 11am. The whole competition thing.
Edit: THEY CHANGED THE SATURDAY HOURS. Now open at 10am. Not a fan.”
“Stopped into Liquor Saver in Somerville and was really impressed. As someone who spends a lot of time in the bourbon world, this place stands out - strong selection and clearly curated by people who know what they are doing. What really made the experience, though, was the owners, Pearl and Nirav. They were incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in building relationships, not just making a sale. We spent a good amount of time talking and never felt rushed. Also a great wine selection. Looking forward to coming back.”

“We ordered a keg a little last minute and they were still able to get it for us. Unfortunately when we got it home and let it sit we could not get it to tap. I drove back and they happily gave me 2 different taps to try and told me not to worry about returning either of them until I got the tap working. We still couldn’t get it. I know it wasn’t user error as we had, let’s say very experienced people on it trying to get it to lock and tap. It just wouldn’t do it. Idk if it was the temp or the pressure build up or what but it just wouldn’t go. I went back to the store one more time bought some cases of beer and they let me know I’d get a refund. People like this are what make local business central to communities. Since my wife and I moved into our house recently, this has been my go to liquor store and it 100% will continue to be. I’ll definitely order a keg again. Shit happens but they made a bad moment more tolerable. Thanks guys!”

“They have good prices for a very small neighborhood store. As a matter of fact they have the best prices in Plainfield. They don't have a large selection of fancy wines, however they have a very full stock of products that the local people buy. The beer is very cold and the staff is very warm and friendly. I go out of my way to buy from this store because the prices are fair. All of the products have the prices labeled and you know how much the bottle cost. In other stores the prices are not labeled and when you ask how much the bottle is, they look you to figure out how much they can charge you by the way you look.”
