Went in for wiper blades and oil. Asked the guy behind the cash register for help picking wiper blades. He not only helped pick them, he even walked outside and quickly installed them. That's good customer service.

Visited the Bayonne branch off 440 today at approximately 2:35pm to pick up some bulbs for my car. At checkout the total was a couple dollars more than the advertised price, the payment transaction was still ongoing so I asked why. The cashier had added bulb grease to my purchase. I repeatedly asked if it was an additional cost to which he kept answering "in comes with the bulb, its the only way we sell bulbs". I asked to purchase the bulbs only and he refused so I asked for a refund.He obliged and proceeded to refund the purchase but gave me a dollar less. I pointed out his mistake and he gave me back $3.00 with the statement " now you can afford to buy bulb grease". I took $1 leaving the balance on the counter and left the store.After returning to my car, I called the store to inform the manager of my experience. The person that answered was the same individual that I had just dealt with instore. I politely told him that I don't want to speak with him I'll call back tomorrow to speak with a different person.Within seconds of hanging up he burst out of the store and came to my car and said "you wanted the manager, here i am, I'm out of the store, what you want". The individual was very aggressive and I chose to remain in my car to not escalate the situation. He pointed to his t-shirt and said that I'm the manager and you deal with me.I left and went to the nearby autozone where I made my purchase. I called Advance Auto's complaint hotline and got no answer - most probably closed on Sunday. I will try again tomorrow during regular business hours.I will advise anyone that takes the time to read this to visit another Auto supply place. I will put my review in as many places as possible and share my experience to ensure that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Picked up a new battery that was supposed to be a "perfect fit" - it wasn't it, the poles were reversed - and asked the guy if they would install it, because they said they would for free. Five minutes into the job, he lost patience and left the battery unattached; making me believe everything was OK. It wasn't. Hate when people are so careless; batteries can shift and explode.
