Every time I enter the M&T Bayonne location, I get a warm, friendly welcome vibe. The associates, and the manager, are kind, well-presented in their expertise, and keep me updated on all of their offers and promotions. Most importantly, they know my name, which is a wonderful sense of pride to realize you are not just a customer; there’s a communal relationship unlike other institutions I've dealt and been involved with.

Not a great service or greeting even . When you walk in bank . Not a respectful behavior from the lady who work in a desk and cashier . They count the bills manually and make you wait for nothing . Bank should provide them the money counting machine .

I scheduled an appointment with the woman at the middle desk. She had everything prepared before hand and had me in and out quickly. She was very professional and genuine. She was extremely knowledgeable and educated me about budgeting ,savings and repairing my credit. No other bank took the time to work with me like this. Best decision ever.

One of the most unprofessional people I've seen. I've sat there and listened to the associates talk about the business of different clients either when they call or as soon as they walk out the bank. They're entitled and snobby, not to mention breaking a few confidentiality rules. Thankfully this gave me one more reason to close out my account. Stick with Chase.

Well here is the good and bad. The good is the fact the place exists at all. They have free checking, allow withdrawals as low as $5 and the branch is fairly clean. Staff is mostly polite but the branch has a MAJOR issue. Homeless people and individuals with drug, drinking and mental issues camp out just outside the bank almost demanding money from you when you exit. You can't very well lie and say you don't have any money when they actually see you using the ATM to make a withdrawal. This is extremely uncomfortable and dangerous! It's even worse during cold weather and at night because the homeless people, in an effort to keep warm sleep on the ground outside in the entrances of neighboring stores. I had a situation where one of them physically grabbed me as I entered the ATM area. I had to fight him off. It was ridiculous! That was several years ago and I've had no other really awful issues aside from them asking me for money when I exit until very early yesterday morning when I entered the ATM not knowing that a female homeless person was sleeping on the floor. You couldn't see her when I entered the lobby area. She was obscured from my view by a table near the window. Now in this particular case the lady was fast asleep and small and probably harmless however this could have been an extremely dangerous situation had she been an aggressive male, or on some sort of illegal substance. While the bank is not directly responsible for the situation they need to put in some sort of security measures to stop this from happening. Yes I feel very bad that there's a homeless person living in the lobby of the bank but I also feel very uncomfortable knowing that at any second when exiting or entering the bank I can be mugged.
