I brought my last dog there Eddy when he had a tumor on his foot. She did an absolute excellent job. The tumor was huge and he was almost 13 the time. His recovery went well and there was no scar. Unfortunately he had to be euthanized in August due to CHF. He was 16 and he was suffering. However, he lived a long healthy life because of this vet. I now bring my new Pitbull there Buddy who is 2 years old. He was a rescue from Texas and she is treating his heartworm with absolutely now issues. I take him there religiously and he absolutely loves the staff. I've never met a dog that loved the vet until Buddy. I have no idea why anyone would give this place a bad review. The staff is great...the vets are great and the prices are reasonable. Highly reccomend this place

Dr. Streit, I am writing to express my anger and distress over the death of my guinea pig under your care yesterday. He was active and only exhibited minor stomach issues, yet after you hastily diagnosed arthritis and injected him without any testing, he died hours later. He trusted you, and you failed him. I will not stand by quietly while you continue putting other pets at risk through rushed, inappropriate treatment. Link of her past issues:

If I can give the review -5 stars I would! Dr. Streit killed my sisters guinea pig! Her guinea pig was not eating for two days so she wanted to make sure he was ok. She went 1/26/24 at 11am to her and he was moving, slightly eating and walking around as normal. She checked him and said his vitals are great, she checked his back and he squeaked If you know guinea pigs they squeak for anything little thing. She said he had arthritis and was in pain. She also said the pain is what is causing him to not eat as much. Shortly after she gave him a shot in his neck of a pain killer! A few moments after her guinea was in a vegetative state! He was not moving, eating, using the rest room, NOTHING! My sister called her a little after 4pm and asked if that was normal and they said yes he will be fine to give him some time. Around 11:30ish he started gasping for air and switching. She took him to an animal hospital in Hoboken NJ and before we could make it he died in my sister's arms. Let me remember you 12 hours before he was fine just not eating as much! He was ALIVE! The next morning I went to the clinic and asked to speak with the Dr she had nothing to say but sorry. She doesn't know what happened to him. I asked her why did she give him the pain medication without an X-ray or at least an ultrasound to see if his belly (which she said was ok) was in fact ok! She didn't have anything to say! She had a look of shock on her face. I asked for his paperwork because I do plan on taking legal action on her. This is not ok my sister is devastated, upset, and completely lost for words! He was not just a guinea pig he was my nieces support animal as she has serious depression. Do make sure you are careful when taking your animals to this woman. I say woman because she is not a VET she is a monster!

Brought my dog here and Dr. Reed was awful. His checkup consisted of him looking at my dog without examining him at all and saying yeah it looks like he may have periodontal disease. He didn't even open my dogs mouth. He's lazy and the office is gross. I mean really disgusting. There are bugs everywhere. When Dr. Reed came in the exam room his shirt was all ripped up and he had blood on his shirt. I am confused by how this place is in business.

I've been going to this vets office since 2012 and it's come to the point where I can no longer tolerate the front desk staff. The lady who works reception is incredibly rude and always has an attitude, even if you ask a simple question or to schedule an appointment. The only good doctor was Dr. Reed, but at this point it's not even worth it to go due to the horrible customer service -- never would I recommend this place again. The rude receptionist (I believe her name is Pamela, I could be wrong) has her favorites and treats the rest of the loyal customers like crap, and as someone who's been going here almost 10 years, I think I deserve basic respect.

Dr Frezzo is wonderful. We were told by another vet our dog needed over $5,000 work of knee surgery. Came here for a second opinion from a friends referral. Didn't need the surgery, dog had a fever which Dr. Frezzo picked up on immediately and possible Lyme. 4 weeks later he is a changed dog. Almost back to his normal self.

I've previously taken my pug here consistently before his passing several years ago, he required weekly allergy shots so I spent thousands of dollars through the years with this office and never had an issue with his care, the wait was always a bit long, but never an issue for me. I've referred many friends and family to bring their pets here for care as well. Unfortunately, on Friday, I was not treated with professionalism. I recently purchased a new cocker spaniel puppy for my sons eighth birthday. I called to get an appointment for a wellness check. The receptionist was pleasant and provided a 1:30pm appointment on Friday- within the same week of the request. This was the perfect appointment because it was after my son finishes school at 12:45 - enough time to pack up the puppy and bring him in for his wellness check. My son was excited. We arrived at the clinic at 1:15pm, we greeted others sitting in the waiting area and then the receptionist mumbled something and I said Frederique for a 1:30pm and she said what is the name of the pet, in an unpleasant tone. Then said you were supposed to be here at 12:30pm and you called me to say you are coming- your late now. I told her, no, no, there must be a misunderstanding, my appointment that you gave me was 1:30pm and I wrote it down immediately. I was met with silence and just standing there while everyone starred at my son and I. Very embarrassing. I made an attempt to resolve the issue which was not an error on my end and asked, so what can we do about this? The receptionist stated, if the 1:30pm (which was me) doesn't show up, you can be seen, but if they show up, you cant be seen because you should have come at 12:30, cant help you. I was humiliated and my son was horrified by the way I was being addressed. I proceeded to collect my puppy and son to exit this office immediately. You can not control the behaviors of others, only yourself and at that point, I apologized to my son, who should never had witnessed this - a cold and condescending customer service is what we walked into. The customer is never right even when they are in this facility. I hope the receptionist figured out her scheduling error so that no one has to ever feel the way my child and I felt in that moment.

Dr Frezzo if you see this I hope you will do something about your front staff. I have been seeing you for over 20 years and will not be going back. During the Covid pandemic my dog was in pain and I was told if i could be there in 7 minutes I would be seen. I made it there in 5 minutes and after waiting over an hour in a crowded waiting room with no social distancing and the front staff not enforcing the proper wearing of a mask, I was fortunate enough to spot you and told you I was there over an hour. You had me taken right in which I thank you for, the front staff is uncaring, lazy, and act like they have better things to do than help your patients.

Been going to ACB for several years now. I have had some mixed experiences there. The front office people - most have been there a while, can be less than super helpful. Having pet histories on a paper card system has caused delay at times when trying to get in/out due to misfiled or not yet filed cards. I will say that once we connected with Dr. Reed & Dave the Vet Tech, our experiences improved dramatically in the exam rooms. Both gentlemen were true professionals and really took their time with us. I hold these 2 caring & empathetic professionals in extremely high regard. Dr. Reed came into the office this past Thanksgiving morning and spent 3 hours with us and our extremely ailing dog. I do wish the practice would modernized the health care files of their patients so that info would be more readily accessible.

I am moving to Hawaii and needed the final step for getting my cat cleared which is a very specific blood test that needs to be sent to an outside lab. My regular vet wasn't sure they could do it in time so I called here as I had gone to their jersey city office in the past. What I got was the front desk person assuring me that the doctor was an international expert and told me all these unnecessary things I needed to do...despite me already having done everything else and spoken to people in Honolulu...you know, the place that I am going to who made the requirements in the first place. Apparently having information directly from the source wasn't good enough. They didn't like being corrected and ultimately said that they wouldn't draw the blood and couldn't help me. It wouldn't hurt to maybe listen to your customers or even if you don't believe them...look into it a little more, because a quick scan of google would have verified that the information was correct.
