I have been banned from using their shop from home delivery app. I have shopped this store for over 30 years. The new store manager Nick is the worst. I am not getting the groceries that I ordered and payed for. When I recently got a delivery from the store again I did not get some of the groceries I paid for. When I called the online department and spoke to the manager of that department all she would say to me was that my order went out and that she bagged some of my order. I asked her why then did I NOT get some of my groceries that I paid for she again repeated that my order went out. She then told me that she would call the driver and ask if he had any of my bags in his truck. I waited 2 hours and called back and was put on hold for over 20 minutes. I called again and this time I got the store Manager Nick who stated to me that he would not reshop my order for the things missing or give me a refund. When I told him that I am not the only person in Bayonne having this problem he stated that I was the only one that day. About an hour later I received a call from Corporate ShopRite who stated that I am banned from using the shop from home service again.I can not go to the store and shop as I am disabled, have no car and taxis are expensive. I can not use the motorized carts at the store as they are at the other side of the entrance to the store and I can not walk that far.I have even called other stores in other close by towns to see if they would deliver to me but they said no.I just want what I paid for.

Before I begin this review let me start off by saying that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone,so with that being said let's go!!..This is my first visit at this particular location and I would like to say that this location is quite similar to the other one/s I visited! I left out two stars out because: 1: They had the Smartfood white cheddar popcorn on sale (that's some good popcorn by the way) but they put the wrong size in the wrong area so I had to go to customer service and get it straight but I will say they made it right!.2: The escalator was broken on the way down!.

This store has become the WORST place ever to shop , let me start by saying there are NEVER enough registers open , today I was there and there were actually 5 registers open , but that is the least of all my problems . 2 weeks ago I was there and got a large order and asked for delivery , I left the store at 5:30pm , but 9pm my groceries still not here so I called and some lady tells me that she didn't have any order in my name . SERIOUSLY !!! After a 15 minute wait she tells me she gonna see what she can do because delivery is only until 8:30pm ( like it's my problem ) the kid who checked me out didn't enter my cart into the delivery area , so my stuff were simply sitting there until I called and yet it took them till 10pm to deliver . I was hoping that was a one time event .. Than I was there again today , left the store at 4:20pm , requested delivery , as of 7pm I called to check on the Oder once I had already been through a bad experience 2 weeks ago . WELL WELL.. it turns out my order ARILL in the store and the so called delivery service is not even scheduled to pick it up until sometime between 7-8pm . Which means I will probably NOT get my stuff until 10pm AGAIN .I then ask to speak to a manager and asked him what happened to the 2 hour delivery window policy they had ?! His answer was that there is no guarantee as of when your order will be delivered because they hire a third party . SERIOUSLY ??? This is absolutely RIDICULOUS who the hell needs to wait a 4-5 hour window to get their stuff delivered ?! You mine as well call an Uber and take your stuff home ... cause if you call them you'll get an attitude for free..

If you don't feel like driving to Walmart or Costco at route 440 Shop rite is a decent choice. It's a decent size grocery store covering all your needs but don't expect any major discounts. They do have a delicious and fresh sushi but it's a little pricey. The sushi guy is friendly. Also they offer plenty of parking underground and also in a small lot across the street.

Lots of options including a wide selection of bakery goods, fresh meats and a sushi bar as well as a seafood counter and cold cuts. Lots of parking across the street of ShopRite and underground parking.

Busy deli counter needs supervision badly. Has been poorly run for years. I started got to other stores because of it.

I typically love shoprite. However, the one in Bayonne is horrible. Items are placed in random aisles-that make no logical sense. Even asking employees, 85% of the time they're unsure where items are located. It always feels like a circus shopping here. I wish management would revamp the store & train their employees properly.

Today I was suppose to receive my order from shoprite in Bayonne but my order got pushed back til tomorrow because they "tried" to reach me about my payment method. I called in twice to figure out the status of my order at 8pm,9:15pm and 10:00pm. Every time I called they told me my order was on the way until I called for the very last time at 10:30pm and they asked for my name and told me that my order couldn't be processed due to payment method issues. The online departments customer service is TERRIBLE. I will never order from the Bayonne location again. If they would have communicated with me to let me know my payment did process when I had called in I would have been able to help fix the situation.

I am concerned over the treatment I received by the officer at this location Shoprite on 26th street of Bayonne. Literally was there with Family they went into to buy a few items so I figured I would try my luck at the lotto machine. I Literally walked up bought gum and withdrew $50 dollars then Lifesavers and $50 dollars no problems and interacted with no one. FInally after losing I said hey try my luck since at the time you can see me standing in ATM line but two people ahead of me I say let me get a Milky Way and $50 dollars more. But I don't know why and still don't.. a attendant tries to talk to me there were like four of them but I just walked past them I have no reason to talk with them I went to self check out and did the same thing I did the 1st two times pay for my items take my cash and still maybe not polite I proceeded to lottery bought a ticket and was heading Out. Mind you I never interacted with any associate or spoke to anyone it's 10pm I was not in the mood..here for milk, wasting time waiting, and for your information I am getting over The Pain from my COVID-19 vaccination so really I am not in the mood to talk with people. But as I proceed to walk Out of your lovely local city Shoprite and Officer..Gardener Jr. William if that's his first name is called to stop me?? so as he approached I asked immediately have I stolen or committed any crimes. he says "No" so I say "fine I want to leave I don't want to stay here and I have no reason to talk to you." He says "No" stay I say "why"? I felted disrespected and my rights violated he says "the associates told you you were not supposed to pull money out over $150" ??? I said "I never spoke to an associate" no one spoke to me It never happened and he went into this.."you have to listen to me" thing and something about "being a Man and giving him time to speak" then he raised his voice! Is this part of Your training To teach Officers to Escalate a Situation then he said "come with me" because the same Associates told him that they was a SIGN POSTED stating that I am not supposed to Pull my own money out "I said fine Officer show me" he made me walk AGAIN Made me!.. and then when I walked back in as he was scolding me..I get there and say Officer "where's the SIGN" his response "well there is none" you know why because the Associates lied to you in the first place because they never addressed me the 1st two times and on the 3rd time they used you. And Officer Gardener William abused his power and As A Man the Man he talked about I asked do I get an Apology no instead to add insult to injury he almost got wise but like the terrible Officer he is said I will escort you Out like I was A Criminal!! He doesn't deserve his badge and tell him take out of his resume strong in military and protective services because he never went to the military and I was wearing fatigue articles of clothing one of which said RESPECT!! HE HAD NONE AND WILL NOT IN THE FUTURE! HE IS A FAILURE BECAUSE HE ABUSES HIS POSITION. Please respond I would like your counsel on this?? Shoprite has plenty cameras if you feel my story is too much smoke I think this Officer needs training This is the first time in my entire life I have ever addressed city counsel over the actions of an Officer but honestly I want to know why he made me stay if I had not stolen anything and committed no crimes reciept in hand about to walk out door I told him then I wanted to leave and he detains me to show me a nonexistent sign because just like the Shoprite employees who are busy making things up he gets to flash his badge!..Escalates and raises his voice what was he trying to make an arrest over the gum lifesavers or the Milky way?? Let me know if they treat you like this where You shop for Milk with Your Family. Terrible.

I typically come to Bayonne to visit their Homegoods and Costco. I also really covet Shoprites and love visiting them to see how they stack up to the others. This particular Shoprite is easy enough to find and has underground parking below ground (which is a huge perk of this particular location during inclement weather). Once you park underground, there are escalators that take you up to the entrance. They have a pretty standard layout for their store (if you've been to a Shoprite before, then you know what I mean). When I went at night, it was pretty picked over and some of the produce was on their last leg, but I feel that it was just because of the time of day and day of the week that I went to do my grocery shopping. Overall, it was a standard experience. While I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this particular store, if I'm in the area visiting other stores like Costco or Homegoods, then I would be happy to stop in to finish all of my shopping in one convenient trip!

Whoever stocks this store needs to be fired. No rice, no chicken, no ground turkey. There is a higher amount of out of stock items on my grocery list than in stock with constantly empty shelves. It doesn't matter what days I shop it's always low stock and availability. Awful and embarrassing for a shop rite. I could have better success completing my shopping list just about anywhere else.

Shoprite in Bayonne is my favorite place to do my grocery shopping. It is only about 4 blocks from my house, so I am able to walk here, which is great. However, if you drive here, there is plenty of parking, as this Shoprite offers 2 different parking lots. First lot is across the street and second lot is underground parking, so parking will never be an issue. I feel that you get the best deals on everything at a Shoprite vs other competitor stores in town. Plenty of registers always open, and a great self check out area. Also, this Shoprite has a great liquor store with a large selection of beers, wine, and spirits. Inside there is a great produce section, a nice deli section, and always plenty of meat and chicken in stock. Every week there is always great sales on all kinds of products. If you shop here, you won't regret it.

Lately, their bakery has been selling bread & donuts that are stale. I bought a glazed donut and it definitely did not taste fresh. Just by looking at the bread you can tell it's been there a while. Shame on ShopRite.
