We were in need of missing hardware for our paddle boards in early Sept. At that time, Google had said they opened at 9am. I showed up and no one was there and there were no store hours. I tried calling and no one answered so I left a message. I was frustrated because I drove there and they weren't open even though Google showed they were. We continued to make our way to different stores. About 45 minutes later, Matt called me back and asked how he could help me. I told him what I needed but had actually found it at another shop. He apologized and acknowledged he had to update his hours on google. Matt was very nice. Because he actually returned my call and apologized, that's why I'm giving 5 stars. Great customer service.

I went back for my second surf lesson this year. Both times I had a great experience. The instructors Joe and Alex (?) were both super helpful. And for the price, you can’t beat a two hour surf lesson.

I had my first surf lesson with South End a year ago and have been hooked on surfing ever since. I came back this summer to rent a board for my Dad and met the new owner Matt. He was extremely friendly, helpful, and spent the extra time to talk and get to know me. The rest of the staff is always welcoming as well. South End holds a special place in my heart, and I’m happy it remains in the hands of the right people!

our son got his own surf board he’s all hooked up now and ready to keep practicing !! Great experience here for anyone looking for surf gear Matt the owner was so nice, knowledgeable, and had great customer service! Highly recommend !!!

Second year in a row my son has attended their surf camp. The instructors are fun, exciting and really connect with the kids. Would recommend you give them a try.

This past week our grandkids Hailey and Ben did surf camp with South End Surf ‘N Paddle and it was fantastic. The instructors were all skilled, patient and safety focused. There were clear communication daily and overall a wonderful experience. The kids loved it and by the end of the 3 day camp they both were able to paddle board and surf - although the surfing will take a bit more practice. Thanks for a great experience Dennis and Colleen Long Beach Twp.

I was so impressed with the instructors at south end surf. They were so patient and kind. Very knowledgeable and just great group of people. my 7 and 9 year old girls had a blast. They now have a love for surfing. Can’t wait to Go back. Worth every penny.

Amazing experience! I signed up for private surf lessons for the first time. I had so much fun learning and will continue this journey. Staff was very helpful with sign up process and considered the conditions of the ocean when scheduling the day. I felt really comfortable with the instructor. Greg was super nice and patient. Can’t wait to go out again. Thank you so much!

I booked a private lesson for my husband, a first time surfer, and he had a blast! His instructor, Johnny was encouraging and helpful throughout the lesson. Great place to check out and take lessons!
