the island guest house is our happy place and gives us such immeasurable joy year after year. Between the joyful hospitality and friendship of JoAnne, Mark, Christina, & staff, the deliciously garden-to-kitchen breakfasts, and the whole experience of beach chairs, bikes, and games, this place has it all and above. The details of infused water from herbs in the garden to ensuring each guest has the most comfortable and excellent stay does not go unnoticed. We thank you for our previous memories and look forward to summers to come!

Spent a tremendous 3 nights here. The hosts are the most accommodating, helpful and nicest people you would ever want to meet. Just a block and a half to the beach and an easy walk. The location and proximity to everything you need is great. The house, the rooms, the food and the people you meet are all top shelf. I can see us going back soon.

I can’t say enough nice things about this place. Joanne and Mark are excellent hosts and their daughter Christina does a great job cleaning the rooms. Hot tip, if Joanne asks what you want for breakfast and you enjoy quiche, hers is a must try! Creamy and perfect! The guests here are friendly and respectful which is very important in a historic home where you can, naturally, hear people moving around once the day gets going. Mark will give you a quick tutorial on local island culture, Joanne will give you recommendations if you need them, the enclosed outdoor shower is amazing, and the rooms are cozy but your space is definitely your own. I hope they’re open during the off-season because we will be back very soon! Couldn’t have asked for a better anniversary weekend. Thank you for welcoming us with open arms team! And I didn’t forget about you, Jamie, you are awesome! Love chatting with you on our final day!

My husband and I have been vacationing on LBI for almost 40 years. Mother-in-law had a house in Shipbottom so we always stayed there but due to unfortunate circumstances she no longer owns the house. We decided to give the Island Guest House a try and oh were we impressed! Check-in couldn’t have went any smoother. We had the cutest little room on the second floor. Breakfast was amazing! You cannot beat the location! We both were thoroughly impressed at how pet friendly the Inn is. We brought our mini Goldendoodle With us and he loved being there.
Mark, the owner, took my husband and I on a little tour of all the rooms so when we book again, we know all of our options. I have to say all in all we both were very pleasantly surprised with our stay at the island guest house. We cannot wait to go back!

I’ve been coming to LBI for 3 years both on and off seasons and this is the best place I’ve stayed. The property is clean and well maintained. They have an outside shower (has hot water!) and hose to rinse off after beach, so that’s a big plus for me.
Also the food is something here. Joanne is a great cook. Nothing beats hot shower and delicious breakfast after surfing.
All the people working here are warm and welcoming and it really adds to your LBI experience.
Location wise it’s close to a lot of restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops.

Great experience start to finish! Beautiful historic property! Short walk to the beach! Beach chairs were provided as an added bonus. Breakfast was delicious every morning. The staff enhanced the experience with their overall kindness all around. Highly recommend!!

Amazing 3 days at the Island guest house!! Absolutely amazing hosts! Beach haven is a special place and the island guest house makes it even more special!I the rooms, the amenities and the breakfast is incredible!! Couldn't ask for a better spot to vacation and that takes dogs!
They truly make you feel like family. We can't wait to go back!!!

Just wanted to send a big thank you for hosting my daughter and me! We had such a great time and truly appreciated everything.
Your staff was incredibly welcoming, and the space was spotless. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the outdoor shower, bikes, beach chairs, and being within walking distance to everything. As someone traveling alone with a little one, convenience is my top priority, and this place delivered. The beach was less than a five minute walk away, and we had easy access to coffee shops, restaurants, the Surflight Theater, Fantasy Island, ice cream spots, and more. It truly made our stay effortless and enjoyable.
I am already looking at dates to come back!

Everything about this place is stellar, beginning with the warmth of Christina’s greeting. The room was beautiful. Every little detail was thought of for our comfort. The Inn is nicely located. A short walk in one direction takes you to the ocean. In the opposite direction we found many wonderful dining options. And finally, to top it all off, we were served THE best breakfast we have experienced in any B&B ever.

This was our first time here and it was perfect. Christina went out of her way to make us feel at home. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! We even enjoyed playing some games in the parlor last night. Thank you Christina!

The hosts of the guest house, Mark, Joanne, and Christina, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. What impressed me the most was their genuine love and adoration for dogs. They welcomed my furry companions with open arms, making them feel right at home.
Overall, our experience at the Island Guest House was exceptional. The fabulous breakfasts, the serene outdoor area, and the warm hospitality of the hosts made it a truly memorable stay. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking for a peaceful and pet-friendly retreat."
Rooms: Our room was a tad small and the door to the bathroom was not ideal for privacy..
