“Sensei Marie and the instructors are patient, caring, loving, deeply passionate and dedicated who not only teach their karate knowledge, skills and techniques but also how to apply them into positive and meaningful life.Although we have a martial arts school in our own town, I am still willing to drive 25 minutes to Martinez Martial Arts because the teaching philosophy is learning through playing so the class always has a great balance of discipline and fun. Sensei Marie and other instructors are always encouraging kids participating the class by asking relevant questions, being a leader, a helper among the students. They are also willing to take time to talk about some life philosophy with the kids so the little ones start to aware of it and think through. The bigger kids even consult with Sensei Marie about some troubles they having in their life after the class. These qualities are well beyond my expectations from a martial arts school.I love seeing my three kids (4yrs old twin girls and 6 yr boy) always enjoying karate classes at Martinez Martial Arts not only learning martial arts skills to protect themselves but also have fun by playing games with their Karate buddies. They are becoming much stronger, more independent and confident, disciplined, and helping each other to achieve higher goals. They develop well-rounded characters over the years with Martinez Martial Arts.Definitely Highly Recommend!”
