The nurse who gave my kitten’s shot was very unconcerned. Did not bother to give me any updates about her health or progress. I had to ask for follow up instructions and weight progress. I understand it is just a vaccination appointment but absolutely no care was given about my kitten. Also, it is a small thing but they usually give treats to distracts pets when getting a shot, did not even bother to do that. If they want to leave exactly at 5, they should not schedule appointments at 4:45 and rush us out the door like that. Only giving 3 stars because the first nurse who saw us at the previous visit was nicer.

The practice became horrible after Dr. Kean-Chong took over for the previous owner, Dr. Appelstein. She never developed a friendly relationship with neither my pet nor me. It appeared to me that her "bed side manner" was fake. I'm no longer going there, but when I did, every time I brought my pet in, Dr. Kean-Chong would say, "we never met, glad to meet you". What??? I've been going there for over 6 years. Also, Dr. Kean-Chong performed surgery on my pet and after that my pet's health slowly declined over time. He was never the same afterwards. Later, my pet had an emergency situtation and when I called the staff and informed them that my pet needed their immediate help, they said that they were closing and I should find another vet to help out. That same day, I had to euthanize my pet. I called them to tell them and they blamed me for the condition that lead to its death. I would like to say that there was never a follow up or a note saying that they were sorry to hear about my pet despite the number of years my pet was a patient.

This place is okay for vaccinations, routine visits but have a plan b for bigger things and when your pet becomes a senior. They also don't seem to handle upset clients very well... meaning when clients are inconvenienced by their very own practice. -In February , I had set up an appointment with their traveling ultra sound doctor , and on the day of , the appointment was suddenly canceled after my dog was fasted and in their facility from 8-almost 1pm. While I get things happen, it didn't help that while making the appointment two weeks prior, I was informed the price could reduce depending on the number of people needing an ultra sound at their practice. My dog was in their facility half the day and then suddenly I was informed the ultra sound person couldn't make it and had an emergency suddenly....that didn't seem true or right...what I think really happened was, the ultra sound person was just making more money at another practice and put off my pet for another day since they would only be charging for one ultra sound where my dog was. I never got a follow up phone call from anyone at the vet after I left, or the vet herself even tho she recommended all of these procedures. I requested my medical records days later and it was immediately sent without a personal follow up. Lost trust in this practice unfortunately. I've worked in some of the best vet practices in NYC in addition to being a pet parent for over 20 years, I understand anything can happen and how a business handles a client when they have been inconvenienced could go a very long way. I was upset but not rude to anyone besides demanding my starving and scared dog be returned to me immediately and if they can't handle a customer they've let down, they may be in the wrong business.. They may follow up with a comment to this review, but it would've been more professional to follow up with me 3 months ago instead of worrying about their internet reputation. If your pet has serious issues or a senior, consider a more established/ bigger facility where a few vets are on staff and they are equipped for emergencies of all kind. May pay more but if you can afford it, probably better off in the long run. My little dog is currently being taken care of at another facility and guess what? She did not have to be fasted for her ultra sound. The veterinarian took into consideration her specific needs and situation instead of making us follow a one-size-fits-all protocol of fasting and no water.

We have been taking our beloved 12 year old GSD Bella to this facility for several years. I found that the vet, the techs, right down to the receptionist were all kind, caring, and compassionate. during the euthanasia process, they gave us all the time we needed and allowed Bella a peaceful transformation into the hereafter. I will forever be grateful to these wonderful women and I feel Bella would have never lived as long as she did if not for the care she received at this facility. Thanks to all of you. ❤️ ?

I picked up this poor pup and his owner up last week who was struck by a vehicle. The staff took her in right away, and the Veterinarian was so kind and compassionate.

The "head doctor" at this clinic does NOT know what she is talking about. My dog was wrongfully diagnosed with a tumor and I was told to "keep him comfortable, as it is about quality of life at this point." That was over a year ago to date and he has been THRIVING under alternative veterinarian care. He continues to act like a puppy in his old age and I don't regret leaving this place.

Long story short, I am a woman of color. I went here for my cat a total of 3 times. 2 out of those times I was told I was not allowed inside with MY PET (I am vaccinated, and I do not have COVID). I do not have a car, I was left outside in the freezing cold (there was no one inside in the seating area either). I went across the street to sit on a bench until my cat was ready to go, and I saw them allow white people inside with their pets. This is the second time they do this to me. I will not come here to be treated unfairly because of where I’m from. If you’re a person of color, save your $$ and go elsewhere where you won’t be discriminated against.
