Lightbridge Academy of Bergenfield is an absolute standout. Amanda, the Director, runs a truly fantastic program and is highly involved in the day-to-day activities of the school. Amanda goes above and beyond to accommodate the needs of each family, and is aided by a wonderful office staff and group of teachers who really invest in each child under their care. Parents and children are personally greeted upon entering the school each morning, adding to the warm and cheerful nature they've created. Lightbridge Bergenfield has not just been a daycare for our son, but a truly enriching academic environment.

My son has been in Lightbridge Academy Bergenfield from age 6 months, and we love it. The administrative staff always listens to our concerns deeply and helps us with anything we need. They are very communicative, and we feel like our son is well taken care of and has learned a tremendous amount there so far. We feel connected with the teachers and look forward to seeing them every day.

Lightbridge Academy in Bergenfield has done wonders for my 2 year old. Not only have my worries completely subsided with his goals being met, but the love and care that the staff show him and our family are top tier and so genuine. Sometimes my son refuses to leave for pick up! From administration to the caretakers, I have never felt more comfortable and care free leaving my son in their care. They are wonderful and I am so grateful that they are in our lives. I cannot thank and praise them enough!

We love Lightbridge Academy of Bergenfield!
Our son started here in February 2025 at about 16 months old, and he just celebrated his 2nd birthday. From the very beginning, the entire staff has been warm, caring, and extremely well organized. What amazes me most is that not only do his teachers and the administration greet him every day, but nearly every teacher from other classrooms knows him by name as well.
The communication is excellent, and the ability to both visit his classroom (at any time during the day) and check in through the live camera footage gives us so much peace of mind. We truly feel like our son is loved, safe, and thriving here.

Our twins have been going to this daycare since they were 1 years old. I couldn’t be more happier with this daycare and the staff. Everyone is so warm, loving and welcoming. I can truly leave my kids here knowing they are well taken care of. The office staff is the most supportive, caring and super attentive! It will be bittersweet the day my twins leave this daycare, but for know we will rave about how much we love this place!

We couldn’t be happier with the care and love we have experienced at Lightbridge! You feel the warmth upon entering the building! My child is greeted by all the teachers and runs to her teachers to give hugs! The communication is top notch from the admin team. There’s nothing you want more than safety, care, fun and education and that’s exactly what Lightbridge offers! Shoutout to Teresa, Ashley and Lakaiy!!

We loved our time at Lightbridge. The administration took such good care of my kids and my Family. I felt very comfortable and secure sending my kids there everyday. I Highly recommend the baby room. Especially, Tarah Garcia and Jessica Hennessy! My son often says his misses his old school! Thank you for all your help over the past three years!

My nephews attend Lightbridge in Bergenfield and they love it. There are a lot of learning and other activities tailored by age group to keep the kids engaged both during the school year and summer camp. The management staff and the teachers are professional and cater to the needs of the parents and students. Everyone is friendly and whenever I do a pick up I am always greeted with a smile. I highly recommend Lightbridge in Bergenfield. Amanda, her assistant Samantha and their assistant Akemi make quite a team!!

If it wasn’t for Ms Magdalena, I wouldn’t let my child stay. But after her leaving her class and new un oriented, disorganized and unprofessional teachers replaced, my child was neglected.
I would usually send a jug of milk so they would give it to her when she needs it, but I always send her homemade food for lunch, Nothing new, these are the foods that I served at home which she eats all the time. But no teachers were patient enough to assist her with her lunch. That jug of milk will only last 1.5weeks because they prefer giving the “easy” food than teaching/guiding/assisting my child with her meals.
Another incident was I had to monitor the cameras all the time since 3-4 teacher doesnt monitor the class closely. There is this child whose having behavioral problems that would bully/grab toys from other kids/would hit his toys towards my child and other kids/push kids around almost everyday, when I confronted the teacher and called numerous times a day they would excuse his behavior since as per the teachers that kid is having a family problems, I was very understanding at first. But when I saw this kid repeatedly kicked my child and put all of his weight on my child, I rushed back to daycare and had to pull my child out. Little did I know, this kid who bullies everybody is actually one of their teacher’s child. I was offered to have a 1:1 on my child which I strongly refused. My child doesnt need a 1:1, if anyone needs 1:1 it would be the other kid.
And the biggest issue that I had with this institute is that they left my child alone in the playground. I saw the cameras all of them were going back inside their classroom when my child ran and returned back to the slides. Not one single teacher returned back to check nor count heads if all of the children were inside. I tried calling numerous times and nobody answered. I asked my husband to call and he was able to reach one of the teachers in the office. I had to stay and watch the cameras the whole time since my child was alone in the playground which last about 8mins until a teacher came out and took her in. Thank god my child was unharmed but they tried to lie and stated that she was only there outside for a second. Like I was literally watching the cameras the whole time.
These incidents would not give you a peace of mind.
Thank god I moved my child to sweet pea in Bergenfield which was a breeze. My child is being well taken care of. They assist her in every way. I still send out a jug of milk just in case she wants it and that would last a little over a month since they are encouraging my child to eat solids. They also potty trained her in just 3weeks. I am just in awe and amazed with everything that Sweet pea has been.

This daycare has been amazing for my son. He started out in the back up care program through bright horizons as i was figuring out our full time care and trying out different day cares. We had such a good experience with Lightbridge that i enrolled him full time and will be enrolling my infant son in the next few months. The teachers and staff are so amazing and treat each kid like their own. My son has also learned so much over the past year and comes home with new words and skills all of the time. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for daycare in the area!

I’m writing to warn other families about our experience at this daycare. My 4-year-old granddaughter attended Lightbridge Academy in Bergenfield for less than 10 days in May 2025. From the beginning, staff were unprofessional—her personal items were lost, and when we asked about them, we were met with irritation instead of help.
My Granddaughter was new to the area and struggled with transitions, crying during drop-offs. Instead of supporting her, the staff overwhelmed her—at one point, I found her surrounded by multiple teachers while she was visibly terrified. My concerns were brushed off.
The director’s attitude was especially concerning—she treated My Grand daughter emotions as a problem rather than showing care or compassion. She even admitted she would prioritize other parents’ comfort over my granddaughter’s emotional well-being.
The final straw was when My granddaughter told us a teacher hit her in the face while restraining her and said she felt disliked by staff. This is completely unacceptable.
We removed her immediately and have taken necessary actions. I don’t want any other child to go through what she did. Please be cautious.

The staff at lightbridge are very polite and friendly. My child is always excited to get to school and has so much to share at the end of the day about all that she has learned. They do a great job at maintaining a safe clean environment for the children.

I am thrilled to give Lightbridge Academy in Bergenfield a glowing five-star review! My daughter has flourished in their care over the past five months, and it has been an absolutely incredible experience for her. As parents, entrusting our little ones to others can be daunting, but the teachers at Lightbridge have truly gone above and beyond. They've showered her with love and treated her as their own, easing any worries I may have had. During her time there, I've witnessed an insane growth in her development and social skills. I highly recommend Lightbridge Academy in Bergenfield to any parent seeking exceptional care and nurturing for their child!

My Grandson attends Lightbridge Academy and it is has been the greatest experience! He is in the Purple Cats toddler classroom and Ms. Ara, Ms. Naurell and Ms Kathy are phenomenal! They do creative projects with the students and teach them Spanish and sign language among many other things! I highly recommend this school to anyone who is interested in providing an educational and nurturing environment to their children/grandchildren!
