They are also very transparent about pricing and understand that the cost of care can be a major factor in what kind of path forward is possible. A general check-up was $110, cheaper than a chain like Bond and with 100% more care and humanity in every interaction.”

My little darling was impossible. She would growl, squirm, and refuse treatment both at home and at your office. They were confident that we would not need to sedate Amber and used a calming room, gentle encouragement, and firm restraint to get Amber the help she needed. “Our dog, Niklaus, was a patient of Dr. Fisher’s until we moved 3 hours away, and we cannot find a vet who can hold a candle to Dr. Fisher and his staff! From the time you step into the office, you know that your fur baby is being well-cared for. The lovely women at the front desk are so patient on the phone and make the check-in process much less stressful, especially for dogs with high anxiety like ours. Mike, the vet tech, and Dr. Fisher get right on the floor to ease your pup’s fears, and handle your fur baby with such care and compassion. “My cat, Max, scares easily and doesn’t like being around new people. It takes her a long time to warm up to people. But Dr. Parker and the vet tech were so amazing and sweet that Max warmed up to them instantly. Their suggestions to treat Max’s issue also worked great. I highly recommend them.
Update:
This past December, our Max crossed the rainbow bridge during a routine visit to Dr. Parker’s office. She did everything to save her but it wasn’t possible. The only reason I held it together at the office was because Dr. Parker reassured me it wasn’t my fault and it was just Max’s time. It’s been the most difficult time for our family, made easier by Dr. Parker’s kindness and compassion. What’s surprising is she didn’t charge us anything for all she did to save Max. We’ll never forget what she did for us during the darkest day of our lives ❤️”

- Facility is kept immaculate without feeling sterile.
- Very transparent pricing.
- Their “Fear Free” handling can really make a difference, especially for older or vulnerable cats that can actually get sicker from stress.
- Management and staff have always been responsive to even minor feedback.
- Handling of insurance is seamless. Never have to even think about it.
After 5+ years of having 3 cats at Heart of Chelsea (2 routine/healthy cats, one who went through an uncommon illness) we couldn’t be happier and have never been disappointed.
It’s a 25 minute trip for us, but easily worth it.
If you want to keep a healthy pet healthy, or have excellent, expert care for an aging or ill pet, I highly recommend Heart of Chelsea.

My dog has a rare autoimmune disorder, went blind at a young age, had an eye removed, and has had multiple emergencies — including life-threatening ones. Through it all, Dr. Frezzo has cared for him as if he were her own. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, easy to understand, and always takes the time to explain everything clearly. She even supports my Spanish-speaking parents, which means so much to our family. She has been available with guidance even when her office was closed and we were at another hospital. “I have a French Bulldog. French Bulldogs are kind of like the Range Rover of the dog world—they’re something of a status symbol despite a reputation of having a design that is not terribly robust. They are overpriced, high maintenance, and expensive to fix. If you were to add up the number of vets, specialists, and surgeons my 6.5 year-old Frenchie has seen, the number would be in the double digits, including a Bulldog breed specialist in Orange County, CA. I offer this to you as context; when I say Dr. Glennon at New Bridge Veterinary Practice sets the standard for veterinary care, it is not without numerous relative comparisons. Dr. Glennon has provided better dermatological care than the board certified dermatologist with the fancy office who charges 3 times as much. She’s handled post operative care for complications from a surgery that she did not perform. She’s cleaned teeth, performed skin biopsies and called in prescriptions on holidays. I’ve left her office after an extensive visit, and she’s called me later that night (after hours) with another treatment option she had thought of since we had left. I could talk ad nauseam about her experience and technical proficiency (both of which are vast), but what really sets Dr. Glennon apart from other vets is how much she cares. I truly get the feeling that she treats my dog the way she would one of her own. And for what its worth, she provided the same care for my wife’s family dog, who was not a cute, friendly French Bulldog, but a monster of a Shiba Inu who never met a vet he didn’t want to bite. She showed him a level of compassion, patience and understanding that quite frankly he did not deserve. That’s just who Dr. Glennon is. One time she got on the ground, grabbed the sides of my dog's face, and kissed him right on the mouth, for no particular reason. In summation, if you’ve made it this far into my rambling review and you still have reservations—don’t… you can’t go wrong with Dr. G. I plan on having dogs until the day I die, and I know they will be in the best hands possible, until the day that she retires.”
