Newly renovated. Large prepared food section that I enjoy. Floral department is small. The staff at self checkout was helpful. Needed the code to checkout the best fried chicken in the area. Yes, the chicken is well seasoned, crispy and reheats perfectly. Avoid the Mac and cheese taste like Kraft layered with sharp cheddar

This has been my go to supermarket for many years. Unfortunately, customer service there has really gone down and they don't value the people who have been loyal customers. The food is not as fresh as it used to be and the ambiance is antiseptic. I am switching to the Shoprite in Lincoln Park. Much better quality and service.

This bloomfield store has a lot sales, good selections, and easy to navigate. However, the employees are rude and nasty especially the ones in self-checkout area, whom often yell and stare at you but hesitate to help you.

This store is so clean and good lighting. Very easy to navigate, nothing like Essex Green. I was hopeful ShopRite Essex Green would do a nice job renovating, but they just put lipstick on a pig.

I went there for the first time yesterday, even though I've lived in Bloomfield for the past 40 years. Nice looking store. I went to the deli to get a sandwich. There was one person ahead of me. It took about 20 minutes for the counter person to make one sandwich. When I was finally waited on, the counter person didn't know what liverwurst was. She took about 20 minutes to make a liverwurst on rye. She also only put 2 slices of liverwurst on the bread, despite the fact that she was given 4 slices to use. The sandwich was awful. I'll never go back.

I have been a customer at this shoprite since the 1970's and worked there from 1976 till 1980, under Reno, Danny, Gil, and Mark Greenstein. Today, I unknowingly brought a puppy into the store, unaware of their pet policy. I can understand their choice in pet policies, however, my disappointment comes from the fact that I was very rudely approached by security who, rather than calmly explaining their policy, frantically demanded that the puppy be removed from the premises immediately. I had to leave the carriage mid aisle, while he even followed me long enough to make sure i did not sneak back into one of the aisles. Rudeness towards customers , was never tolerated while I worked there, it is disappointing to see such a change in management's attitude.

I always judge a supermarket by the fruit department because that's primarily why I go. Compared to Stop & Shop and especially ACME in Upper Montclair, this Shoprite has superior fruits and better prices all around. You can even find rare seasonal fruits here. The store is always clean and the other departments have a ton of selections!

I love this store! Though moving around in the aisles can be tricky because... people, the staff here is the friendliest and most helpful staff ever. I bought a sourdough boule today and opted not to have it sliced because I like to do that myself. It was so fresh that all the way home that sourdough whispered to me "eat me first, eat me first, eat me first." And I did! With garlic butter and fig jam - trés delicious! See you in 2 weeks ShopRite.

Great selection in all departments. I love their hot meal section, their fruits and vegetables. There's help at almost every turn. And the store is well kept.

I went to ShopRite in Bloomfield on Tuesday, March 21st.4:40 pm. . I was looking for an item that I could not find. I went to the customer service desk and asked the lady there if she could tell me what aisle the product was located. She gave me the dirtiest look ..checked the computer.Then she looked at me and said we don't carry that product. I was trying to show her that it was on my phone that they did carry in that store. she rolled her eyes at me and said we do not carry that product.The next day I called the store. Time there was a man at the customer service desk. I asked him about the product I was looking for.The gentleman looked in the computer and said to me I will check grocery department for you. Then he transferred me to the dairy department. The man I spoke to in the dairy department said it it was on the shelf above the sauerkraut.. So this whole time they did have the product. The woman who I spoke to the day before should not be working in customer service. She did not want to help me at all. she was very rude. customer service should be kind to the customers not nasty. I explained to the gentleman in the dairy department and the customer service what kind of a person this woman was to me. I think them for being kind and helping me find the product. I knew it was there the whole time.

Spoke to head of security and it was all misunderstanding. Security (Loss Prevention) have duties to perform nothing to do with me Minor infraction, no harm intended I'm glad because I enjoy shopping Brookdale store for my daily and personal needs.

Very crowded and super narrow aisles. They refuse to bag groceries! There were two people working every register. I handed the women my reusable bags and she refused to touch them. One person was scanning items and the other was pushing them to the end. Why does it take two people to do that? I had a full cart and by the time I was done unloading it, the end was overflowing with groceries. They used to bag it for you and now I have to do it myself? Sorry but I don't work here. I'll be going to stop and shop from now on.
