This credit union is by far the worse credit union I've ever been to. I went there today to withdraw funds and was told I couldn't because they couldn't see the information in the system. Then I was advised that because I bank at a different credit union, I couldn't withdraw money. If this is a shared credit union, why not? They all need to be retrained, or they need to hire more professional and knowledgeable employees. The manager was eating while conducting business, she had a scarf on, and just look like she crawled out of bed. The CEO of this branch should be ashamed of his team. I highly don't recommend. Let's not mention the door. I see a lawsuit coming with that one. Smh.

This branch is by far the worst shared branch I’ve ever visited in the 25 years of banking with my credit union. Previously I had a teller lock the door in my face and she gave me a rude stare. Today the teller asked that I match my signature with the one on my license. Is that not my entire face on my license?? It was not my first time and they’re just rude for no reason. Who asks that you match your exact signature from how long ago?? Not to mention the office is severely outdated and I could barely open the old door and the parking lot has so many pot holes. I don’t recommend.

Disgrace that this bank is dealing with teachers. Customer service is below imagination. I will never deal with you.

Customer service is to be desired at TFCU in bloomfield. It is sad that people of the Hispanic/Latino and African community's treat people of color with such disdain and disrespect. This was my 3rd visit to the Teacher's Federal Credit Union ( the bloomfield branch) and on all 3 occasions customer service was lacking to say the least. I have visited co op branches in other areas for example Affinity branch that was at Oradel and the excellent customer service I received from the branch manager and all her staff resulted in opening multiple accounts. Due to job relocation I began visiting TFCU at bloomfield. Following my last embarrassing visit at TFCU in bloomfield, I called to close my checking account ( miscellaneous account) this way I don't have to deal with rude tellers. This bank should retrain their staff on customer service ethics include appropriate facial, head gestures, tone of voice and accommodation of customers.

The tellers at the location is very rude and unprofessional. I went to get some from my account. I put my checking account number instead of my savings. So the telling said your number is wrong and i cant go back and forth checking numbers. The checking is 7 numbers and the savings is 6 numbers. If she knew her job like she should, she should have said i had an extra number so i would give her the savings number instead. The other telling came over and was equally rude. 3 persons got into arguments with the tellers for the time i was there. As soon as you get the counter the first thing that comes out of their mouth is call your credit union before trying to help you. When I was walking out the telling said to the other teller. Whats her problem. So unprofessional

Absolutely horrible customer service I called 30 minutes before arriving at the bank asking what the requirements would be to open an account. Then once I got there, I was told that I needed to make an appointment and the bank manager decided to argue with me about how I miscommunicated the fact that I wanted to open an account even though I was calling and asking about requirements. I’m not sure how that isn’t something that should be communicated, but she was only interested in going back-and-forth instead of being apologetic for their mistakes. I would not recommend this bank at all.

There is always a problem to perform transactions there . Since covid it’s becoming more and more difficult to get things done especially if your an affiliate credit union. It’s best to go to your credit union and not waste time goin there… they are not accommodating

The people there are probably the least helpful and friendly individuals I’ve dealt with at a banking institution. They appear bothered by your presence from the moment you walk door. So unfortunate for their customers.

This place provides one of the worst costumer experience. Every single time I go in I don't know what kind of scrutiny I will receive. I provided them with my ID my ss and my phone number and then they tell me that my signature on my ID does not match so I did it again and again they tell me it does not match. Are they forensic scientists? Signature matching disenfranchisement at its finest. Signature can change for many reasons diease, disablity eyesight problems. I told them Ill come tomorrow and the clerk shift manager in stead of saying ok said "itll be the same thing tomorrow." Is that code for ill never be able to withdraw again? Why do I deal with them? Because it's the nearest shared branch from my credit union and it deters me from withdrawing but they are provideding that benefit a little to well. It's sad because there is almost no one to complain to but a broad of Trustees and good luck trying to reach them.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. The manager is rude and has no idea how to satisfy her customers or de-escalate any issues that arise. I came in to correct an address issue and see why another person's bank statement is coming to my home. The manager did not solve anything and rude and abrasive. If I didn't have to deal with the, I wouldn't. The entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

Caitlin the manager is incredibly rude and nasty. Caitlin does not like the population she serves. Caitlin makes it a priority to be nasty to this population of people. FYI the nasty vile old man in the back, the CEO is her FATHER. How is this even allowed? Do yourself a favor spare your dignity and bank elsewhere. No one deserves to be discriminated against at Will.

The worse customer service in history! Even the manager was grossly rude. If there was another financial institution I would go there rather than this location because eww! I was literally shaking because I wanted to say more than a complaint but that would solve nothing. They all need to be coached or fired because it’s not a good look at all. If you aren’t happy working at Essex please do everyone a favor and leave. That manager should know better and does not! YUCK ?

This is the worst credit union out of all credit unions.Extremely poor service.I believe anyone from off the street with no education can perform the duties of this credit union. Its ridiculous how it takes 3 weeks just to get approved for a loan. When trying to reach the loan officer is like trying to reach the president by phone.I tried to call to speak to Kaitlin the fake officer to check on the status of my loan. In which was processed and approved or Monday but I decided to go for a higher loan amount. So she had to change the amount. It is no reason why it’s Friday and I still haven’t heard from her. Therefore again I called to speak to Kaitlin or Fakelin to check on the status of the loan. When I called they asked who I was then had me on hold for 5mins. Then she comes back to the phone and ask for my name again and had me on the phone for another 5mins. Then she returns back to the phone and says she’s busy, you can leave a message or call back. Now to my understanding maybe my name didn’t have the right ring to it. If I was WHITE, with a WHITE name she definitely would have taken the call. I tried to call back to speak to a manager to make a complaint about Kaitlin and they tell me that Kaitlin is the Manager. How d*** and ridiculous is that. Why would I call Kaitlin to make a complaint about Kaitlin. They are so unprofessional and incompetent it’s ridiculous. Whoever that is reading DO NOT BANk HERE, DO NOT APPLY for a LOAN to save your self the stress and aggravation .Please bank at a more professional bank or credit union where they have professionalism great customer service and more than a GED. They need to hire more people to handle the functions of their members. Why would you have 5k members and 5 people working.

I made an appointment, and yes I was 16 min late for my appointment, but the websites states that they will accommodate you if you are 15 min late within your appt if you "Do Not" make a call, and 20 min if you "Do" make call. When I arrived there was no one in line waiting to go inside and there was no inside being helped. Plus the bank wont see you unless you have a filled out bank slip ( and don't try to fill it out inside, they will DEMAND you leave and complete it outside no matter rain or shine). My slip was completed and I had a mask ready to complete a transaction that would had taken 2 minutes. They insisted I make another appt 45 min later, which I did complete. However, before I drove away from my initial appt I sat in the parking lot for additional 10 min and still no customer waiting to go inside, so I think the right thing to do was to let a customer complete a quick transaction. The staff was also very rude when I rang the bell to tell them I was there for an appt. They since made an update on there website about changes to the appointments. They definitely took advantage of the situation and their customers.
