If I could leave zero stars, I would. Terrible customer service. Terrible Client communication. They are unnecessarily condescending and their techs don't seem to be knowledgeable. I sent a controller in for a repair, to simply fix a malfunctioning pad, in Sep 23, it is now January 24 and they claim to "still be waiting on parts". I called and asked for a call back to get an estimated time on the arrival of the repair parts and received none. This place is a waste of time and you would be better off sending your equipment for repair elsewhere.

Be aware of the bench fee, labor fee per hour and cost of parts. Try to get some kind of estimate first.

So far, so good. They tested and estimated the equipment and offered solutions and suggestions. They also offered to consult with me regarding setup should I run into any issues. Great customer service from knowledgeable professionals. They are great.

Mike and the technicians were professional, competent, and timely with their estimates and repair of my Yamaha MOXF8 keyboard. And at a very fair price. My extreme satisfaction with the Triple S service was matched by my great relief that my keyboard was working again (and I lost none of my presets). Thanks Triple S!

After dealing with a faulty Teenage Engineering OP-1, I had gotten a replacement under warranty, but this second one was now having keypad module issues. I shipped it to Triple S to have them repair it, since it was still under warranty. Teenage Engineering, though, had been having backorder issues for replacement parts for the OP-1, and after some months of waiting, Triple S was able to get them to replace my whole unit with a brand new one instead. As far as warranty goes, in my experience I can say that they were able to get it honored and get me a new unit; I’m not sure if I would have been able to do so on my own after my first one was already replaced. The wait was about 5 months, but I’m assuming this was mainly Teenager Engineering’s fault for their lack of replacement parts and having them wait so long for a reasonable course of action. Thank you Triple S, and a big thanks to Carl for keeping me updated on the status of this all.

Falsely confirmed my 2 year insurance over the phone and Tricked me into sending my device there… After providing all documentation of my insurance they held my device hostage…………….until I paid in full claiming ignorance of an insurance confirmation….I really couldn’t be more upset with them… This review is for the lack of empathy towards me on their own mistake. Oh yeah and their little insurance scam also breached the contract of my PAID FOR AND DATED coverage policy which is now void even though it lasts 3 years through next year. They fooled me out of a $160 repair two shipping charges and collaterally lost me a $250 dollar coverage policy. One that they still say they accept. Don’t believe them.

Sent in a Yamaha keyboard I had given up hope of ever fixing and Triple S managed to repair it like new for me! Everything about the service, from the communication to the shipping back and forth, was five star. Thank you!

I recently had my amp sent out to triple S from my local music shop. I gave instructions to return the brand new power tubes which I installed before sending out to them. Not only did they not give back my tubes, they made me buy new ones as well. They also forgot to include my amp’s power cable - which I got two weeks later in a much shorter length. This is the second time I’ve been dealing with the shop and I will never send another amp out to them again. I will go out of my way to find any other amp repair service, and suggest you do the same

If you have real gear and it needs repair...these are the real repair guys. I worked the Manhattan studio scene back in the day, so I know quality tech service when I get it. My old '54 Fender Deluxe got a new life here and my '78 GK bass rig got a nice clean up. Nice to have them around. Thanks.

I'm baffled by my experience with Triple S repair. I just moved to NJ from NYC and own a commercial recording studio with a revolving door of gear that needs basic electronic tech work. I rent out 6 vintage consoles and own a massive amount of vintage gear such as Altec 436's, rca op-6's, Neve 1073's etc so I was looking to build a local relationship where I could drop off a few units a month and a channel strip now and then from these consoles for service. The guy who picked up the phone said they don't work on this kind of stuff. He explained that they "don't make parts for these anymore." Uhhh... what? When did they stop making capacitors brother? What do they fix here then if not basic electronics? A cap is a cap no matter if it's in a 2022 QSC power amp or an old Electrodyne console, no? If you have an EE degree and can read a schematic, this stuff is probably the easiest money you can make but Triple S doesn't want your business. Kinda begs the question, what DO they actually do in this building? Money walking! UPDATE: Due to the lack of service providers in the area I tried them again 6 months later: I brought a classic Roland Juno 106 to Triple S last month with an output issue (probably the easiest keyboard of all time to work on with every part still available via Syntaur). They were very rude and no one would look me in the eye when I dropped it off or picked it up. Wouldn't give me any info and everyone seemed like they were in a horrible mood (ever heard of customer service? You're in the service industry weather you like it or not). They called me a couple weeks later and said they couldn't fix it or give me any other info on why it can't be fixed, only that they were keeping the deposit. I then took it it to Patchworks in Brooklyn and the owner Peter said the pins on the board were just flipped, that was all. If these guys are so clueless about electronics that they can't deduce a flipflopped PCB terminal pin connector then how on earth can they be trusted with anything?! I am changing my review from 2 stars to 1 star. What a horrible experience, yet in tumbleweed northern NJ where there's no other options for audio repair, they somehow have almost 5 stars on Google. Unbelievable. PS - I called up some pretty legendary techs such as Stephen Sank, Klaus, Ken Mckim, etc and asked them all: if they are UNABLE to fix the gear, would they give the deposit back and they ALL said of course they would; proving I'm not crazy, they just have pretty questionable business ethics over there at Triple S. A shame too cause I checked my books and we spent $76K alone on outsourcing repairs last year and plan on doing much more next year. I would've loved to give this to someone local instead of driving into the city but guess there's no avoiding the tunnel if you want quality service.
