“I had an issue at that this location, forgetting that in Jersey you cannot pump your own gas I went and initiated service. When the guy came around and redid the transaction I’m guessing too many cancellations at a gas station is a red flag for my bank. The manager on site was professional, poised, and knowledgeable. What he explained to me was verbatim with what my bank prescribed. At times people get attached to there vehicles or we assume that a repair “should” cost what we assume. Don’t let a bad review keep you from doing business.”

“As always, couldn't be happier with the service Pry delivered. I was there for tire rotation before a long trip. Told them I get free oil changes from car dealership but due to the trip, would they please check the oil & change it if needed? Another mechanic would've ripped me off, changed the oil, and charged me but Pry said no need to change it; I had another 2K miles to go. John, Anthony & their team are THE best...expert technician's, friendly & HONEST. Trust them with all of your automotive needs.”
“The service at Auto Wurks Diesel is exceptional. I had transmission problems in PA and did lots of research on good shops around the area. I was in the process of taking my truck to the shop and actually broke down on the way. After contacting the shop to let them know, they gave me the number of a trusted tow service. Once the truck was there at the shop I got updates on the progress and was very impressed with the in-depth knowledge of their work. Anything that they came across while repairing the transmission that also needed attention was relayed to me for approval to fix as well. A rear main seal leaking and a transfer case seal. The new transmission performed flawlessly on our return trip home of almost 1,300 miles. I would recommend anyone in the general area with transmission problems or upgrades in general to use Auto Wurks Diesel after experiencing their customer service and knowledge of their profession.”
“If you need a mechanic go see Jake. This place is no joke. They have a night drop and late pickup box securing your keys which is nice so you don’t have to rush to pick up your car. They send you a full report with a quote that you check what you want done and what you don’t and hit authorize. The prices were fair considering the Audi dealer would have been twice the price. They sent pictures in the app of the tires in the back of the car and showed what the issue was. They even said they added the alignment to the quote but it didn’t actually need it so they removed it from the bill. They sent a link with the invoice and paid right on my phone. Not sure how many places would be this honest. Just saying I will be brining all of my cars to them moving forward.”

“If you are looking for an honest mechanic Josh is your man. Recently took my vehicle there to look at the brakes because of rubbing sound. He pulled the tires and checked the brakes and let me know the pads and rotors were fine and let me know what the issue was (non mechanical). After all that he didn’t charge me a dime. “Som.. I'm driving down the highway and suddenly get an alert saying my battery is not charging. I don’t know where I am. I pull over and desperately start searching for a mechanic. This place pops up with good reviews. Kim was very kind and told me that they would check it out and I should probably go hang at a cafe! 30 mins later, he calls me and tells me that there is an oil leak and asks me to come over. I look at it and see oil sprayed all over the inside of the engine bay. Needless to say, I wasn’t happy, but I had to get it fixed. These guys were awesome to work with. It took them three days but everything was done correctly and they kept me constantly updated. The prices are typical for NJ and an itemized bill was provided. I would definitely go here again.Here’s another good thing about them – they are right across from the train station. And since I live an hour away, I saved some money by taking the train here rather than spending $100 on Uber. If you live in the area, definitely check them out!”

CommunicationWhen dealing w/ mechanics all 3 of those needs are never met or hardly ever met.3.5 Altima Coupe that needed Transmission work done.The owner is straight forward and a wonderful person to talk to about anything related to your cars work. W/ basic common sense you'll see what a hard working mechanic he is, a mechanic not out for money but takes your safety into consideration as well. Parts take time, as we all know if you want good work done it takes diligence. Looking for a quick fix take it to mavis or pepboys, they'll be happy to keep milking you while doing the bare minimum to keep you coming back.”

On the other hand, if you expect your car repaired by friendly, knowledgeable, and pragmatic folks in a no-frills environment without spending a small fortune, then TRM Transmissions in Morristown is the place for you. Unlike most dealerships' service departments, with service advisors pushing expensive periodic maintenance and throwing costly parts at issues rather than considering the root cause of the problem, Gino and his team are old-school mechanics who may seem to be a little rough around the edges to some, but are very passionate about their work and provide high-quality service at a reasonable price.Now that the extended warranty on my car has expired, I don't have to take it back to the dealership for routine maintenance and major repairs and I have the opportunity to try some other repair shops in the area. When my SUV and my sportscar required some unanticipated repairs this summer, both dealerships threw me a long list of items they said were required to be replaced to repair the issues and quoted me an obscene amount .. along with a caveat that it could wind up being even more expensive once they started to do the work.
