Awesome experience!!Working with Wayne is such a pleasure.. he is so patient and knowledgeable and is truly concerned with his clients and their workout goals..Although I am a “senior”, Wayne provides a comprehensive program to fit my needs not only in person but also gives me the program to workout at home..I am extremely satisfied and look forward to my workout days with WayneI know with continued guidance Wayne will help me be the best version of myself..

I have been going to Core Performace for at least five years and it has literely changed my life. I learned to eat clean and lift weights properly. I was 235lbs, and went down to 216lbs. I went from 18% body fat to 9% body fat. Wayne's knowledge of fitness training and nutrition is top notch! Wayne kept me accountable by ensuring I was committed to my fitness goals. I highly recommend Wayne, he changed my life and he can change your life!!!

Favorite gym I've ever been to. Honestly, much cleaner than Equinox and more space to train and feel like an athlete. #TomBradyhereIcome Speaking of athletes, they have a turf so you can push the sled or do any training drills Not sure if they have a climbing rope anymore, but that was a great full body workout. I'm also happy that they provide towels so I never needed to worry about bringing my own.

Now that I have been taking class regularly for 3 years & with COVID forcing us to take class online, I thought I would update my review. I take the kettlebell class w/ Chris 1-2 times a week. I have always appreciated the great programming that Chris provides. It took me a while to learn about myself, but he challenges me enough that now my workouts are relatively injury free. Today my massage therapist told me that I am an A- at taking care of my body. And the last 2 weeks, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much stronger my upper body has become. And all that while working out getting instruction through a screen & only 4-6 kettlebells. As all my friends & clients complain about how deconditioned they have become while sheltered, I fulfilled my goal of thriving during this pandemic & not just surviving. And the front desk is super punctual & helpful whether in the gym or just via email. I used to travel to gyms along the West Coast & Southwest. PG is by far the best & cleanest gym. I do miss chatting w/ members & trainers, but PG has been awesome at creating events that we can interact and/or learn from coaches.

The employees are nice and are always around the gym cleaning, throwing out trash, and racking the weights. Good environment, and everyone is helpful trying to get you where you want to be. No one is judge mental at all.

Super staff and really nice members. I have never been a member at a gym before, but this one has me happy, healthy, and going to classes and training sessions three times a week. There is a community here, and that is something that comes out of the way the staff and the members work together and treat each other. There's lots of encouragement, and a lot of flexibility in making things work for your particular needs and interests at the time.

Love this place!! It is a functional fitness playground with some of the best trainers in the peninsula. It has a real sense of community I find uncommon in fitness clubs. A Gem on Cal Ave!

Jaqui is the best of the best! As a very active person myself I need deep tissue and before Jaqui I was always left feeling unsatisfied. Never with Jaqui - she really knows anatomy and how to go deep where you need it without ever leaving you feeling beat up. Amazing results every session. If you want to be free of aching pains and discomfort I highly recommend her!

Great barbells and bumper plates, lots of power racks for squatting and bench pressing, barbells available for both powerlifting and Olympic lifting. There's also a bunch of functional fitness equipment and a big turf area, as well as cable machines and dumbbells. They have fractional plates! I didn't go at standard gym peak hours (i.e., right before/after work), but it seems like it's never too crowded as it's mostly personal training clients who sign up. However, there were still always enough people around that I could ask for a spot when I needed one. Their prices are on their website. I think they're reasonable for this level of equipment quality and lack of crowds. The employee who signed me up also was able to set me to not auto-renew the month-by-month membership, which was great since I was in town for only 3 weeks and it's always annoying to have to remind yourself to cancel a gym membership. PerformanceGaines is a great, locally owned gym option for powerlifters.

I worked with Eva for 3 months. She is excellent! She listens to your concerns and your body to create a plan personal to you. She checks in during the week and focuses on proper form. Working with her was so much fun, she wasn’t just a trainer but a friend! Def recommend!!!! You won’t be disappointed!

I do not like the gym so when I found Core Performance (Wayne) it was perfect. I came to Core Performance in search of motivation to workout. Wayne is helping me develop healthy attitude toward my body and motivation to exercise. The workouts are fun yet challenging, he knows how to deal with injuries, and sensitivities he is knowledgeable about nutrition and physiology. I have only been training with Wayne for a short time and I could already see results. Wayne is very responsive with my many questions that I text him throughout the week. I always look forward to our workouts. If you are in search of that one on one attention and knowledgeable trainers, you should connect with Eva and Wayne.
