5/5 – Outstanding Local ShopRite Experience
My local ShopRite is one of the best grocery stores I’ve ever visited. From the moment you enter, you can see how much care goes into keeping it clean. The floors are spotless, the shelves are well stocked, and every aisle is organized. You never have to search through messy displays; everything is exactly in its place.
The store feels bright and welcoming, with good lighting and wide aisles that make shopping easy and enjoyable. The produce section is especially impressive. Fresh fruits and vegetables are beautifully arranged, and they are checked regularly for quality. Meats, dairy, and bakery items are also consistently fresh, and the selection is always excellent.
Even the small details make a difference. The carts are clean, the signs are clear, and the checkout areas are tidy. Staff members are friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about the customer experience.
Overall, this ShopRite is a perfect example of how a grocery store should be: clean, organized, and well-run. Shopping here is always a pleasant experience, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Never thought I would write a review for a grocery story. This is the kind of place 1980’s propaganda videos would depict to make the USA look like a paradise to those living in the Communist Bloc. The food variety is utopian, the staff are delightful, and everything is just so damned pretty. They have MULTIPLE dining options within. Their entrance has a rotating door with a display. I would live in this grocery store if I could.

I shop here quite frequently but instead of making it easy for the customer they(shopRite in general) make it more difficult with these dumb ass digital coupons…. Now to this specific store: They don’t label what is included and apparently you have to load the digital coupons about 10 minutes before check out or else it will not register. Make sure to check your receipts!!!
Then the woman at courtesy counter was argumentative when I tried to ask to br reimbursed from the BS digital coupon that was never taken off. Times are tough and every penny counts. Some of us aren’t privileged enough to have the luxury of extra money when a coupon doesn’t get taken off.

Purchased a package of baby back ribs for Memorial Day weekend. The meat was completely spoiled. The smell was rancid and needed to be thrown out immediately. I returned to customer service to advise them. They would not issue me a refund because I didn’t have the item with me. Their only solution was to notify the meat department. I will not be shopping at this Shop Rite again.

Two years later update: The meat department is garbage and must be run by a family member London Broil on sale twin pack.
Top round slab cut and cut in two. Fat and waste turned down in the package. Never again Branchburg is worth the ride and they take pride in their store and it shows. See Photos!
Perdue Chicken Breast on sale, they put the generic clear packed breast in it's place at the sale price. Meat department is poorly run, London Broils bought before on sale had thick pieces of fat facing down. Perdue does much better with their products, don't put garbage in it's place and expect to see people coming back!

I have been a customer of this store for 25+ years. I have never been so disappointed in this store and the way I was treated yesterday. I prefer to use the self checkout line. I modify my shopping order to ensure that I (normally) abide by the 20 item or less rule - and will go multiple times a week to shop if that is what it takes. Yesterday (a Monday at 1:45PM with NO ONE else behind me waiting to be checked out) a male employee approached my cart and RUDELY asked if I was over the 20 item limit. Told him that I didn't think so and he asked if he needed to count...at this point I was getting angry and told him no...he continued to angle my cart out of line and proceeded to count anyway. I felt a little violated. My personal belongings were in the cart, and I did not give permission to have him put his hands on it. I wound up with a whopping 23 items in it. He proceeded to begin to try to make an example out of me and give me a lecture. I decided enough was enough and pushed my cart at him and walked out of the store. They no longer deserve my business and went to another store who does. In the 25 years of going to that store, I have looked past buying things past the expiration date, crappy looking produce and at times, a subpar meat selection. But what happened yesterday was the straw that broke the camel's back. Do better ShopRite. You will lose more than just my business if you continue to treat your customers that way. BTW - as much as I spend there in the course of each week, you lost my business over 3 cans of cat food ($4?). Doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense to me.

Another well stocked store. I need a map and the door to the side adds the confusion.

Store is nice but seriously there is no need to be in my personal space counting my cart to tell me you notice I have more than 20 items in my cart at self checkout. Ummmm ok but the regular lane has a line and self checkout is empty. Sorry I’m what 7 items over in an “Empty”self checkout lanes. It’s not that serious friend it’s just annoying.

I purchased some random things that might make a nice meal. Thin sliced Chicken breast cutlets, onion, cabbage, pasta, vodka sauce, cheese, yellow rice and donuts. What am I making? 🤔

Prices can't be beat. Parking lot is a bit crazy but if you park away from the store there is no issue.

I was happy to see the 20 items or less limit be enforced.

Definitely did not enjoy coming here the workers are always rude, give you an eye and never helping with questions just “ask someone else” kind people….everything is all over the place and when I went to get sodas and they had a deal one wasn’t scanning for the deal and told me to pay the full price. Yea no thanks customer service zero
