Rhmanie is a gem! My first time experience her but she was very sweet and warm. Her kind approach made me feel welcomed in the store. She is patient and also knowledgeable about the Ulta app/rewards. I would definitely come back to shop if I know she is there. Very friendly and a great asset to the store!

Horrible staff! Very rude and no manners at all. I will celebrate the day they will go out of the business.. and gone forever from our community.
Go to the Mall for your makeup ladies.. avoid this place like plague

It’s well stocked but some of the workers have a mean girl attitude. They also insist you need to have an Ulta account with them or you won’t be able to make any returns (despite still giving me a paper receipt). And won’t take no for an answer.

Hate coming to this store. I was just there and was followed the whole time. Every single time my mom and I come to this store we are treated like criminals being followed everywhere.

Bunnie in the hair salon was amazing. She saved my blonde hair that turned green from copper levels in the pool. She was patient, kind, and very hard working. Highly recommend!

February:
I came back again this month and I met Ryan who recommended really good choices for eye creams. Eileen was so attentive as well once again in assisting me with checking inventory for the product I needed. Both of them were very helpful, patient, and friendly. :) It makes a difference when you walk into a store and are greeted and you feel like the associates genuinely want to help. :)
November:
This place is AWESOME!! The store associates were so helpful and sweet and very caring. Their product knowledge was excellent as well and they helped me understand what my skin needs and could really relate to what my needs are. Eileen in particular was fantastic! The cashier (not sure what her name was, she had an accent and had glasses) was also such a sweetheart! I even opened a credit card here since I plan to be back for more products! :)
2024 Sept- one of the nicest locations with the best staff. I particularly want to thank Roshaly, deliah (I think that's her name?) And the manager (dont remember her name) for all being so patient with a credit card issue/refund I had! They were so patient and worked with me to find a solution while honoring the discounts I had- amazing staff!

They have every product you need. They also have an actual salon in the back of the store. I didn't know that. The staff was also very helpful and polite.

I came in for a hair cut, bleach, and multitonal color. The salon receptionist booked my appointment wrong (leaving off the color) and when I arrived the stylist was rude. She refused to listen to what I wanted and was clearly flustered. I'm only leaving this review because I was supposed to be paired with someone who does fashion color and just talking to this stylist was a pretty bad experience - I ended up leaving without receiving any service because of our interaction.
The Ulta Salon in East Brunswick did my hair previously to this appointment and they were awesome.

I had scheduled an appointment for ulta salon with Sandra V 4 weeks prior for prom curls and was excited to get my hair done. About a few days before my appointment, I received a call confirming my appointment and the instructions. I was told to just make sure my hair was washed and dried. I have longer hair, so the day of the appointment I made sure to wash it and make sure it was thoroughly dry. I also used the pink Revlon brush to make sure there were no knots in my hair and that it was as soft and straight as it could be. My twin sister did the same as we both scheduled appointments back-to-back.My appointment was at 2:30 and my sisters was at 3. Each appointment should be 30 minutes long for curls.Sandra curled my hair in about 7 minutes and seemed annoyed the whole time. At the end when I politely asked her if she could add a few more curls because we had 23 minutes left, she said "I have to get to your sisters hair and I can't curl it more than that. I have an appointment after you guys, too.” Keep in mind that it was an SCHEDULED appointment and we were barely ten minutes into our first appointment. Even after I politely asked her again and remained very calm, she refused to curl the pieces that were straight in the back. At this point I was holding back tears because she was being so rude, giving the other workers looks, and just made us feel so small. My curls were already falling out and gone by the end of the 7 minute appointment. My hair looked the same as when I walked in. Same thing with my sister's hair. At this point it was around 2:45, and she claimed she was already done with our hair. It seemed like she just wanted us to get out of there and be done. AT the end our hair looked horrible- $32 EACH for mediocre curls that I could have done at home. She said that the curls took her little time because “she was very good at her job”- I think it’s pretty safe to say that she’s not good at her job based on how our hair looked. She barely took the time to do a nice job. I would have done my hair at home if I knew that this is what I would be getting. She rushed through it and had a rude attitude the whole time. Not to mention she was giving her co-workers dirty looks and made it seem like me and my sister were the problem. The appointment was supposed to be for a full 30 minutes each to make sure my hair was fully curled, but it was done in about 6 minutes with barely a curl. My curls fell out by the time my sister was done, and our hair looked horrible. When I went to the cash register to pay, I asked if I could speak to a manager to get some sort of discount on my hair and explain the situation. Once I talked to her and explained the situation and showed her my hair, which was at this point completely straight, she went to the back for about ten minutes and once she returned, she refused to offer me any sort of discount. I had to pay the full $32 for a mediocre job and HORRIBLE service that honestly ruined my week.I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the service offered here and will not be back. I actually had scheduled another appointment for the day of my prom, as this was a test run before, but I already canceled it after the service I received today.I am curious to see if she would’ve treated us the same way if my mom had been there. If she doesn’t like working with people, she should really quit this job. I really don’t want this to happen to anybody else. They need to hire friendly people who do a thorough job. What a waste of $32 for literally 7 minutes of curls that were gone when I left. The manager could have atleast provided some sort of discount for me and my sister. $32 each is crazy for curls that fell out ten minutes after my appointment. Do better- VERY VERY DISAPPOINTEDThis employee would highly benefit for training on customers service

The Hair service at Ulta is absolutely TERRIBLE. My sister and I went for an appointment to test out prom curls at 2:15. My sisters appointment was at 2:30, but they said to arrive fifteen minutes early to talk with the hairstylist over what you would like. Our hairstylist was Sandra. My sister showed her a picture of simple curls she wanted and Sandra went on a rant about how we don’t know what curls are and how our hair type would take SO MUCH more time. She also would not stop talking about how our hair was still wet, even though it was fully dry and we had already dried it at home using the revlon blowout hair tool brush. Keeping that aside she had my sister sit in the styling chair and she took approximately five minutes “curling” her hair. When Sandra said it was done we were shocked, because it looked like something we could have done ourselves yet it costs $32!! My sister asked Sandra if she could have a couple of more curls and Sandra was clearly pissed off and continued to talk in a passive aggressive tone towards the two of us. She went on and on about how she didn’t have the time to do so yet it was only 2:40 so she had TWENTY MINUTES left to finish her hair! Sandra rushed my sister out of the chair and then it was my turn. I was ready to cancel my appointment, but I didn’t want to rip someone off for an appointment because of their absolutely nasty attitude, because I am a bigger person. I could feel her tugging on my hair as she brushed through it and giving the other salon clerk dirty looks as if my sister and I were the issue. I’ve never been more uncomfortable in my life. When I was turned towards the mirror she asked me what curling products I used and I told her “Not your mothers curls” and she told me “don’t take it too personal” and had a smirk that I “had a lot of acne on my forehead so I should switch hair products”. It’s one thing to give someone advice but another to be an absolute bully to someone who is trusting you with their hair is terrible. My appointment ended and I was very unhappy with the result. The time was 3:00 so I still had 30 minutes left and I still felt rushed. Feeling disgusted by her attitude my sister and I left to pay at the front. As I was walking to the checkout I started to cry because I was so bothered by how terribly she treated us. I asked for a manager at the front and the head woman of the hair salon (Not sure what her name is) and asked her for a discount on these terrible curls. I told her how Sandra was so mean and the manager excused herself for ten minutes to the back where I’m guessing Sandra tried to make it seem like my sister and I were the issue. When the manager came back she said we still had to pay the full $32 and that she would talk to Sandra. We both paid and left without giving Sandra a tip.If you plan on going to the Ulta Hair Salon, just DON’T. I am appalled by the rude service and lack of respect for their customers.Shame on you Ulta.Below I attached a photo of my hair after the quick 5 minute appointment to “curl my hair”. Absolute waste of $32!
