Diagnosed my mother with a rare cancer, sent her home no treatment first 1-2 months of having it just saying she had no chance. Parents went for 2nd opinion at Sloan, head doctor said she should have been receiving chemo that whole time. Thanks to this I believe that's why she only lived 4 months from her condition, as well as not receiving her chemo treatments when she was admitted to the ER for pain, just a few hours from her chemo appointments....
UPDATE- had to go back to this hospital to deliver my 3rd boy because OHI doctor i was seeing said that's where I needed to go to be treated by him for delivery... my first birth at this hospital, and come to find out by his pediatrician they didn't fully circumcise him, and that basically they did the procedure for nothing, because NOW he'll need to have it done again. So I put my baby through a painful procedure for NOTHING.

I gave birth to my 3rd kiddo here on the labor and delivery unit. It was a great experience! You can definitely tell the nurses on the unit enjoy their job or at least that was what was conveyed by their bedside manner. They have a great sense of humor too. Everyone that I encountered on the unit, including the anesthesiologist, was knowledgeable and experienced. Food was good too so kudos to nutrition!

The worst ER experience I’ve ever had. Horribly rude staff, to the point of a nurse saying “I’m not talking to you anymore” while I was having a panic attack because of the debilitating pain I was in. No one had any bedside manner. I was left in the hallway on a bed for 3 hours before finally someone remembered I needed a ct scan. The people in the ct wing were great and friendly. The doctor refused to elaborate on my bloodwork results, and said they can only offer a rectal exam to see if I was internally bleeding. No other tests supposedly could be done for my pain. I allowed it, and after sobbing from how painful it was, him and the nurse proceeded to just say I should follow up for a colonoscopy and that they needed this room for someone else. I have never felt more disrespected and disregarded in a medical setting. Not to mention every machine they used on me to check my vitals wouldn’t work, the room they put me in for the rectal exam was dirty, pillows on the floor, garbage on the floor, etc. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU CAN, especially if you are a woman in her 20’s-30’s. They will not take your medical needs and pain seriously.

Nothing but great experiences with the maternity department so far, but the outpatient parking is horrendous.
The reason I am giving 3 stars overall is for horrible parking accommodations.
First outpatient parking area states restricted parking access and the second area is all valet (3 lots). The valet team is also blocking fire zones, clearly marked "Fire Lane, Do Not Park" with signs and lines in the road, with peoples cars who trusted their personal property with them to be parked safely. There are still blocked off valet spots available, so it appears to be laziness or blatant disregard for the safety of the facility and its occupants in the event an emergency were to happen. When I asked the attendant his name, he removed his name tag and refused to give it. As from everyone I talked to at the facility, this has been an ongoing issue regarding minimal parking availability. I had to park in a neighboring business and walk over and wound up missing half of the ultrasound for my first child. Be forewarned, Parking is an issue. I would choose a different medical facility if it is an option, stricly based on the experience/issues I had trying to park.

This is my closest hospital. Ive had to visit twice this year. I spent over 2 months here as a volunteer and worked here for a month as well. The nurses will take care of you. Housekeeping which i worked for, has 3 shifts singning papers stating they came to clean. Yet 90% of the patients and visitors said they rarely ever see housekeepers come by. Yet ironically they all sign a form stating they came into the room and took out trash. Next they’re supposed to take out soiled linens and actually clean, sweep, and mop the rooms. And they sign “every step” while not actually performing the work. This hospital is like any other business is a business. You are not the priority

My mother was in this hospital last year. The doctor covering for her GP in this hospital was rude.
The doctor said that my mother needed to hear the questions being asked and to answer. My mother's hearing aids weren't working which I informed the doctor of, so I shouted the questions, and then the doctor accused me of yelling at her.
It was absolutely ridiculous.
Then the head nurse called a meeting, where I was questioned like a convict, what they didn't know and I informed them of was that I was a state medical social worker in a hospital for many years now retired.
Then the doctor told my mother that she'd be going to physical therapy again, my mother was crying at the thought ( my mother had stage 4 lung cancer and it had spread to the spine) I intervened and called the oncologist and he said absolutely no more physical therapy.
My mother was terminal.
The hospital wasted my time with a meeting over a ridiculous accusation while my mother was dying down the hallway.
My mother did die, and on my way out of the hospital that day, a patient advocate and social worker were at the desk, and as I passed by Said to me, you were right you know.
And I replied, I know.
The treatment by the staff was aggressive, defensive, lacked respect, and lacked compassion.
Compassion in medicine is just as important as science. ..... and rules.

The team in the 4th floor Oncology unit were fantastic. I was there for 5 days and I couldn't ask for a more caring, comptent and efficient group. Francesca and Mary were my nurses most of the time and can't thank them enough for their compassionate and friendly care. I failed to get a selfie with Mary.
The food was surprisingly good. Thanks to the kitchen staff.

Brick hospital OUTPATIENT interventional radiology that is UPSTAIRS is an EXCELLENT team.
Downstairs radiology where you get imaging is a TOTAL disaster. They did not have a clue of why I was there, even after I explained. They then had me sit 2 1/2 hours for NOTHING…only to tell me to go UPSTAIRS.
Once I got UPSTAIRS to interventional radiology it was great. Once the team realized they had me sitting downstairs for hours they came and got me, prepped me with an IV, did my endoscopy, and had me out of there in a half hour. It was absolutely amazing to me to see how one area does NOT HAVE A CLUE (downstairs radiology) and another area (upstairs interventional radiology) can be orderly and efficient. I can not say enough how well the upstairs interventional radiology team worked together. Everyone from the supervisor on staff to the workers that help you in recovery were on the same page and the crew had excellent teamwork skills. They were a well oiled machine. If I have to take another test I’d gladly come back here

I wish I could give you more than a 5 star review! I was admitted this past weekend and was taken to the ER in less than 5 minutes and was already having blood drawn and being treated for blood clots in my lungs and legs. The Staff, Doctors, Nurses.and Aids are all very compassionate and can't seem to do enough for you. I was on the CCU and they were nothing but the best, they treated you like family. I would like to give each and everyone of them a 10 star rating. I would also like to give a special thanks to Phillip from food service for being so nice and considerate and also to Mark for his caring ways and for making my Birthday in the hospital special. Again Thank you to all the Doctors and staff for making me feel more like family than a patience. Great job to everyone and thanks for your help and support.

I went to the ER to see my mother who was in an accident and some guy in a suit just yelled at me to get out. This was in 2022 and of course I had a mask on and to this day I still don’t understand why he came out yelling at me. Worst hospital and service ever.

unprofessional place - totally understand students need to learn somewhere however the way they are teaching these young kids is absolutely unprofessional. Brought my grandfather in for extreme chest & stomach pain - he died two days later in their care after they allowed him to sit in the waiting room for an hour .. only to later on tell me he may have had a heart attack sometime last week. However they couldn’t get him to the back for an EKG right away HAD they would - maybe they would have caught him going into septic shock. totally unsympathetic - not one dr was on the same page - as if they weren’t reading over his documents. just save yourself the heartache and go to toms river.
