“Stopped by the Goodwill on Hooper Ave while visiting family in NJ, specifically on a quest for a cast-iron skillet for some outdoor grill cooking. Unfortunately, no luck on the cast iron bit there was a huge variety of other kitchenware. You’ll definitely need to do some archaeological digging! The shelves are stacked pretty haphazardly, so expect to lift and move items around just to see what’s underneath and the prices of each item.
If you’re looking for apparel, though, they have a massive selection of men’s and women’s clothing, including two-piece men’s suits and sport coats going for $7–$12. Tried a few on, while the fit was hit or miss and one that did fit had minor imperfections (like a small sleeve stain on one coat I passed up), you really can't complain when $100+ coats are marked down under ten bucks.
The real hidden gems were the small tech and home items. Walked away impressed with the steal of a deal finds, like surge protecting power strips and multi pack boxes of brand-new home nightlights for just 99 cents each.
Worth a quick browse if you don't mind sifting through the clutter to score a bargain!”
“Love this place, every time I wear something from there people love it and when I tell them what I paid, they can't believe it.The prices are unbelievable.I highly recommend this place.”
“Best thrift store in the area for the value, customer appreciation and good cause. All proceeds go to help people in need. Donate here! Shop here! Thank you kindly to the volunteers who work to keep the store well stocked and organized ?”
“okay i love this place! the manasquan location is just as amazing, but two levels ✨ i have never had a bad experience with any of the employees, until yesterday though:( i’m still giving five stars because one bad experience isn’t worth giving less, but i’m hoping the owner can maybe talk to this girl! my friend and i went to try on clothes in the dressing room, with no problem, there was nobody else in the store when we went in the dressing rooms. we were in there for about 10/15 minutes because we had a lot to try on! if i had known someone was waiting i would’ve only tried some stuff on, and then finished after. mind you i wasn’t also able to tell someone was waiting because she wasn’t holding any clothes and was just fidgeting by the register- i assumed she was checking out. the cashier shouted to us “if you guys could hurry it up there’s someone that’s been waiting”. i understand doing your job, but the way she said & the way it came across made me embarrassed and not even want to buy anything. she was very rude to us the whole time, not sure if that’s just her personality, but i heard her being snarky to other customers as well. besides that, the store is always stocked and has such cute stuff! i recommend ?”
“Quaint little place, they were closed but the amazing grooming salon owner next door (Here Boy) opened it up for me so i was able to find a few things while having a nice chat with her..
If she sees this, thank you so much for staying a little extra to accommodate me.”
“Large, brightly lit store with second-hand clothing, well organized by type and size for children and women. All items are clean and very affordable. The fitting rooms are big. You can also donate your own clothes there.
You can pay with card and also contactless”
“I always find something when I go in there. The ladies are friendly and very helpful. When I retire I plan on volunteering there. 100% of proceeds goes to those in need. That's paying it forward”
“Clean and comfortable, Love how everything is nice and neat and not ALL over the store. This makes my shopping experience much more easier Thank God. Selections are great, prices are reasonable. Staffs are welcoming and helpful which I ? Love??”
“The Bayville Goodwill is a gem. The place is clean and spacious (compared to the Brick store). The staff is really friendly, their kindness and physical energy always brightens my visit. The best thrift store around! Thank you team!”
“Just went in with my fiancé and was greeted as soon as we walked in and we were asked if we needed any help! Items were beautiful and well priced, well placed in different sections between entertainment, glassware to even an entire Christmas section!! Bought beautiful vintage pottery and wood pieces Goodwood name brand and found a cameo locket and heart locket!Don’t forget to check their jewelry section in front of the counter and there’s a section behind the counter as well (we didn’t get to check it out, but that gives me another reason to go again along with the owner being absolutely amazing to us)!!!”
