I regret getting account with this bank they make the process so hard especially if u need a new debit card... you better off opening a whole new account at another bank the process would be way quicker and easier.....

Never loose your debit card with this bank they are no help at all... it takes months to get a new ok then they make it harder to activate it and get a new pin number.....

I want to start by saying I have been a member of this bank for probably over 20 years. It was my very first bank account ever owned and I’ve used it my entire (money earning) life.Where do I begin? First, they have virtually no fraud department. Twice my card was used for suspicious activity (the same exact amount charged 4-5 times on the same date, in another state) and nothing was flagged. They said I could download an app to manage the fraud happening on my account. Which 1. I think is pathetic that I have to set up a fraud check on my own account & 2. I knew nothing about this app before I was hacked so they did a horrible job at letting their members know the best way to keep their money safe. I sent a message in the app about my fraudulent charges on Saturday, called and left a voicemail Monday, never received a call back so I called again Tuesday and no one would answer the phone! The only way to get ahold of anyone is if you call the lending department, go figure. Which is what I finally had to do to handle the charges!Second, it takes 7 days to receive a new, safe debit card. It is 2023 and there’s no way they can expedite this process?? My discover card ships me a new card OVERNIGHT and I have to wait 7 days to receive my debit card through BOFCU. The first time this happened, my card was hacked right before my wedding so I had to go my entire honeymoon without a debit card!Do not put your money in this bank.

Horrible customer service. Seems like they hate their life over there. Additionally, they don’t seem to be trained. I had better help from strangers than these people. Only had this bank because I am overseas, but this place absolutely sucks. They don’t know their own policy and will make up anything on the spot.

I have been banking here for years, and I Love it! Haven't had any problems with any of my accounts, and if I have any problems, I can easily contact them and resolve the issue

Hands-down, the only credit union I would ever bank at!! they are small town and love the people that they service! They go above, and beyond what a normal bank does for their customers! If you’re going to a new bank/credit union BOFCU is the credit union to go to! Stephen Frantz is awesome and he’s not only a loan officer, but he will help in anyway he can even if it has nothing to do with getting a loan! Thank you bridgeton onized for always being there for me.

WORST BANK EVER , been banking here for 20 years . BANKING IS OUT OF DATE AND THEY DONT CARE . Had two different cards sent to me in a month because chip keeps malfunctioning and they are extremely rude and don’t even answer phone calls most times .. good luck trying to contact someone inside the bank and when you do they will only frustrate you even more !!! PLEASE BANK SOMEWHERE ELSE OR EVEN PUT YOUR MONEY UNDER A MATTRESS BECAUSE THATS BETTER THEN BANKING THERE !!!

** EDIT: I'm changing this now to a 4 star review. Thank you Stephen Frantz for reviewing and taking care of your customers like they should be. Not only did Steve look in to this on his own, he did credit back the fee that was applied without hesitation.I've been a member of the credit union for about 5-6 years now. I've been ok with them even though when you message them and ask for something, most have no clue, misguide you, but eventually figures out what needs to be done. I'm giving two stars because of an incident that recently occurred. I was charged $40 for insufficient funds - Had a payment come out before my transfer actually was in my account. The transfer of funds was literally delivered 20 minutes after the $40 was charged. Now I've never had this charge since I've been a member; so, I sent a message asking if this one time it could be waived since the funds were available in such a sort time the charge incurred. I get a nasty little message from Teresa Hernandez saying and I quote "We don't usually waive the fee for insufficient funds only time we prolly might do it if it was our mistake and it wasn't our mistake". Not only is that very unprofessional but that is top notch customer service right there! In my experience being a retail manager for years; you take care of your customers first and foremost, they are the reason you're in business; not tell them to pound sand because it wasn't your fault this happened. I'm not sure who manages these people (I pray Teresa isn't actually a manager), but if I had an employee that did not put customers first and spoke to them like this; they'd be standing in line at the unemployment office.

I found this credit union with the help of a car dealership I purchased a car from in 2020. Since then I have gone to them for all of my loans. Stephen is a wonderful person he gets back to you and works with to find the best loan option for you.

Absolutely ridiculous that I received a check for my baby shower and had to give up $10 because I wasn't a member. Also had to fill out information as if I was opening an account. Even pointed out that I don't live in the state. Scrolled through the fees list on the website, did not see anything about a non member cashing fee.

The people there show a lot of patients I think it's the cars in front of us are usually slow, being unprepared not the workers. Especially Steven!!!

My wife and I just got a loan for a lease buyout of our Acura from BOFCU. Worked with Greg who got the process started and Stephen helped us see it through. I previously had other loan quotes and Stephen was able to rate match without any issues! He was VERY helpful and got this done in record time. Appreciate the help and wouldn't hesitate to go back for our future loan needs!
