Been an executive member for 18+ years at Bridgewater. Just purchased $600+ and stood waiting almost 5 minutes for the cart checker (Chris) while he flipped things around in the cart, below the cart, put the clothes purchased over the wet chicken, almost dropped the eggs etc.. while the other checker was done with 6-7 customers in the same time. While I can understand Costco ensuring all items are paid for, this type of checking is USELESS. My receipt had approx 60+ items and the items below the cart were clearly labelled (which is what is often missed). After the invasive checking, he has the nerve to yell at us while I was talking to my wife about his the waste of time. I had a similar experience a while back. In talking with neighbors and friends, they experienced similar experiences in the past 2 years. I am seriously considering cancelling my membership.. there are other choices like BJ's and Sam's Club that do not mistreat their loyal customers in this manner. Hopefully someone from Costco leadership (Bridgewater or NorthEast) reads this review and addresses the issue. If you have any doubt, look at the video footage from today 3/2/24 from 11:10 - 11:45pm - Chris is the checker on the left side.

Some people at the service desk, not the returns desk, could be friendlier. Rather than the attitude that they can’t be bothered. I don’t mean the tire department when I say service.

I walked in towards the exit side, the front guy flagged me down to ask if I had a membership. I didn’t, so he sent me out the store saying it’s their new policy. No help, just dismissed

I had a regrettable experience at Costco, resulting in a 1-star rating. A worker's rude conduct, snatching my cart over a membership card issue, was unsettling. Instead of a simple inquiry, she created an unwarranted spectacle. Improved employee training and a more efficient card-checking policy at the entrance would benefit both customers and the store. My hope is for Costco to address these concerns for a more positive shopping environment.

Had been going to this Costco years never had an issue.On 11/28 I stood in a lengthy line which is usual they're always busy, got to the cashier and gave him my Costco card, he was rude and said ID so I showed him my ID and he Yelled out loud "security!" Everyone turned and looked at me . I was confused and embarrassed as to what was happening he completely ignored me when I asked what was the issue. The supervisor or whoever pulled my cart to the side stand and said come over here then they started talking to each other not explaining to me what happened until I asked ! They needed to verify if I was on the account or not. ALL that just for that. I was so embarrassed, it's humiliating that being law enforcement myself some cashier called SECURITY on me like if I was stealing something at Costco. Will never be going back to this place! Cashiers think they're entitled to ignoring costumers. Costumers service sucks ! And after all that The supervisor I spoke to said he can only let me buy certain things on my cart!

One can get everything under one roof. You ll need a Costco membership card to enter. Prices are reasonable compared to other stores. Food and groceries, electronic items like laptops, mobiles, watches and batteries, Jackets, jerkins, blankets, bedsheets and comforters. Almost everything.Happy shopping :-)

I suggest not ordering a refrigerator from Costco unless you know about this "rule" they have. We ordered a refrigerator with installation. When the contractor that Costco hired to do the deliveries came with our new refrigerator, they would NOT install it because we did not have a shut off valve within three feet of the refrigerator. Even though we shut off the main water valve to the entire house, they still would not install it. Even after complaining to Costco, they still would not do it and Costco basically stated that it was the rule of the delivery company. Never in the fine print or in the specification/warranty or delivery sections does it say anything about the three feet rule. Even Costco reps on the phone did not know. Do not order appliances from Costco.

I needed to reactivate my account and plus card on 11/09. I was at the Costco location at Bridgewater Promenade in NJ. The initial manager was helpful and Rick at customer service provided excellent service. I was able to complete my purchase. Rick was awesome and let the holidays begin

Never have spinach salad and are out of stuffed papers. This time I also opened up a veggie tray from them and it was moldy and celery was in decomposition:/. See pics, gross!

Great location but the employee's are rude and disrespectful to customers. The front of the store is a hangout for managers along with their rude employees. Best Costco is North Brunswick, Customer service is amazing ?

This review is for management to read into. As a business owner, I shop here once a week. Normally, the store is great. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Today, however, the second register person, Ron, was not only rude, but damaged multiple products I had bought, and then told me I had to go back and get the product myself. He was condescending and told me that if I had an order as big as mine I should use a flatbed because it is easier. Im not sure who it would be easier for, maybe HIM, but as I mentioned I shop here once a week and have a system that works for me, and I’ve never had any of the other cashiers give me such an attitude because it wasn’t convenient for them. Nick, rose, Gina, and every other employee I’ve ever dealt with at your store has been professional and courteous. Ron smashed 2 containers of tomatoes and an entire case of iced tea because he didn’t like how I packed my cart. I sincerely hope you guys address this issue because not everyone will be as understanding as I am and may not return to your store after an encounter like this. 4 starts because like I said, every other experience I’ve had in the 2.5 years I’ve been a member has been a pleasant one.
