I gave Geek Squad my laptop to replace the battery. They didn't replace my laptop's battery all while they kept my $81 bucks. For all I know they didn't even try to fix my laptop. Honestly ridiculous. I still want my refund.

Save your money and don't come for repairs for laptops. HP states geek squad as authorized service center but they are incompetent in diagnosing or fixing the device anything more than software related. I was maliciously pushed a total membership ($190) for a repair. When the device wasn't repaired, I was asked for additional costs ($90 - not accounting to parts) to send the device to a service center. Lesson learned.

Charges $170 for a diagnostic test in your devices. Complete rip off and their turn around time to fix your device is almost a month.

Jah was extremely helpful and technically knowledgeable. Very kind and patient, too. He also showed me additional hardware I would need to set up a home office.

Bobby was really professional and helpful. Unfortunately phone support could have gone over cost structure. $99 per pice of tech or $200 plan. $300 seems high to diagnose 3 ram chips. My sense is if I had brought them in my PC it would have been $99. Sorry, probably wouldn't try geek squad again.

Last time I spoke to someone, it seemed like he was trying everything to hang up quickly. However, all the other times I’ve never had a problem and they seemed to truly care about fixing my device.

Fraudulent Charges of $104.99 by Geek SquadGeek Squad employee has been upset at me because I gave a negative feedback on Gas Dryer Installer. This Geek Squad employee is makingfraudulent charges against my credit card by purchasing 3 year protection plan for $104.99. First was made on Jul 3rd 2021 from BestBuy Store # 2663 in Richfield, MN. I got it refunded by calling the BestBuy online service. Now I see the charge for the same amount again made on Jul 8th from BestBuy Store # 1324, Joplin, MO. I willhave to write this on media outlets and take legal action.

Not sure I am surprised or not. Was at the Bridgewater location and was near the Geek Squad booth, was looking for a new computer. Overheard the Geek Squad tech tell a customer that they had to buy the part from another computer store and then bring it back to Geek Squad so they can do the repair.. What kind of "techs" or service is Geek Squad if they are asking customers to "source" their own parts? Just seems shady like imagine getting your car repaired at shop and the shop asking you to buy a list of parts they need then bring them back for them to install it.. Ackward ...

Oh my god how is Best buy staying afloat? The worst phone customer service with Geek Squad. Have been transferred around without exaggeration 4-5 times already and that too all were non English speaking folks not understanding my wanting to schedule appointment for home install. Two specifically, one name Roger, heavy foreign accent, can't understand what I am trying to tell him and just keep randomly transferring me. Then this one other Geek Squad oriental chick with heavy accent named Elaine very nasty and started threatening me when I asked m'am I need Ring doorbell camera install not home install, she threatened me yelling do you want me to transfer you to Auto then let me transfer you where I think you should be. Omg! I think I'd rather inquire about this other installation folks offering service. Looks like pretty soon Best buy will be out of business with such ignorant idiots they hire to work for them who are extremely rude to customers and always screw up. Thank god also Amazon is picking up in home installations. But finally got through and spoke to someone in Home Theater Sales and install and she was wonderful and went over and beyond to help me set up an appointment. Thank you Tessa.

I heartily recommend Geek Squad. I have an annual service contract which is more than worth it to me.
