I want to share a EXTREMELY concerning experience/hardship I had with Life Time Fitness that should make you think twice before committing to a membership!!!!!!!
Recently, my phone, was accidentally damaged by Life Time Fitness staff when it was placed in a washing machine by staff. Despite promptly alerting staff to the mistake THEY made, the damage was done. No preventive measures were taken despite the fact it was brought to staffs attention that they were IN FACT in possession of my phone!!! While They assured me they didn’t have my phone!!! That They shake all towels out. It was being loaded into the industrial washer!! If they had listened to me that they had my phone and actually look it wouldn’t have broke !!!!
Life Time Fitness's response was shockingly inadequate: a mere $50 credit was offered, along with “ it was no fault of our team” !!!! SUCH A INSULT FROM a PREMIER GYM!!! Which did nothing to address the $1000 loss I’m facing along with personal things on the phone!! Not only that, but the lead operations manager (ERIC GOLDBERG) began to state how my phone was the first in the opening of the club to end up in a washer. And backed that statement with describing me details on the operations of that washers. How many there are, how many hours they run. None of this rectified my situation or addressed absolutely nothing It was in fact irrelevant!
YOU CANT MAKE THIS UP I HAVE EMAILS OF THIS!! Attached…
This isn’t just about money—this reflects a serious lack of responsibility and care. Their management’s handling of the situation was dismissive and emotional, showing clear bias and an unwillingness to make things right. Such treatment is unacceptable and suggests a disregard for customer well-being and property. Especially with the Team clearly being at fault!!!!
Following my dissatisfaction with this resolution, I attempted to escalate the matter with the local management, only to find that my membership was canceled in retaliation!! The reason given was that my membership "does not meet Life Time policies," which appears to be a punitive response to my rightful complaint rather than a legitimate concern about my membership.
I’m sharing this to inform others about my experience and to encourage Life Time Fitness to address their poor handling of this situation. Prospective members should consider whether this is the kind of company they want to support. It’s important for businesses to stand by their commitments and handle customer issues with integrity.
Their current response is not only dismissive & disappointing but a poor reflection on their commitment to customer

Edit:
Date: Oct 25th 2024 - The gym has become a shadow of its former self, although I acknowledge that group classes are still quite decent. If you are in and out for group classes then it still might be worth it for you.
I never imagined that this gym could become overcrowded, especially considering the high fees, but that has unfortunately happened. The new crowd seems to be inconsiderate, recording with phones everywhere and becoming easily frustrated when having to share equipment.
Additionally, the swimming program has not seen the improvements I had hoped for, and there is a high turnover of instructors.
Date: Sep 7th 2023 - Unfortunately, I have to rate this club a 1 star. The swimming section is the worst. While the facility seemed decent initially, since then, our experience has only gone downhill. My kids have not progressed in her abilities in over 6 months. Constant change in instructors, new instructors who continue to teach skills that she already has mastered, has been the main issue. There is no consistency or plan to track the progress of anyone taking lessons. We have spoken to the schedulers on multiple occasions and even to the owner to try and get this sorted, but to no avail. Instructors can cancel the class at the last minute, but when you want to change, they ask for a medical certificate.
Other areas of the club have also become overcrowded. Wait times have become longer and longer. Management who was enthusiastic earlier does not even respond to emails or concerns anymore.
Edit
Date: Oct 3rd 2019: After being a member for 3 months, I have to change my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. Lifetime proved worthy of the big price. The gym is expansive and I never found any equipment busy. Their group classes are amazing. Instructors are very professional and love what they do. I never used to go to group classes earlier but now I only go to group classes. If ever there is a dark spot I would say instructors for the yoga classes are not up to the mark.
Date: June 25th 2019: Founding member discount moves every month. So don't fall for the trap.

Really nice, new, clean and inclusive facility! It looked like a "you name it, they have it" type of a scenario. I played basketball on their really nice indoor courts for awhile and met some nice people to play with. Rest of my group did classes, weights and machines... they said they had a good time

I’ve been a founding since 2019. I really love it here, you get everyone you need out of a lifestyle fitness center but every year this place just gets worse and more crowded.
Cons:
- super crowded no matter when you come
- not enough equipment to accommodate the number of members. for example: only one smith machine and not enough area for floor work/dumbbell floor workouts, and we are unable to utilize fitness rooms while classes are not in place. Even if there were hour blocks where members were able to use the studio rooms when not blocked for classes would help a lot.
- not as clean as they’ve been in the past. Woman’s locker room toilets and sinks aren’t well maintained and sauna has a foul smell.
-prices keep going up on not only memberships but food, and services, which I understand but if you’re going to up the prices do not lack in maintenance
Some positives: classes are truly an amazing experience and great workouts

Booked a day, discussed the fee and finalized with receptionist Delora. She got busy so we had to schedule another day to come and sign-up...took a day off work specifically to come and sign-up for this, came in with my workout gear and everything, now they want to sell additional outdoor pool & etc and WE HAVE TO BUY IT in order to join...walked out. $250 for outdoor pool and it expires in 1 month, Manager comes and says..."Come back in a few week..." lol great customer service... I was bringing you 4 customers, now I'm bringing 0. The receptionist confirmed all prices, now you're charging more...for services we dont need, that expire in 1 month. Thank you very much ?

Great facilities. Very helpful staff. Lost my phone and it was handed to the front desk. Tight monitoring and reinforcement of sauna and steam room rules and etiquette required by staff, e.g. use of electronic devices, noise, clothing.

THEY DISCRIMINATE AGAINST WOMEN HERE. Kelly Bender the General Manager has YET to explain why women are explicitly NOT ALLOWED to use the cold plunge facilities. She claimed to want to talk to me about their “future plans” but never returned any of my calls. I couldn’t keep trying to contact her because I am busy planning a funeral for my family member! I don’t understand how these people get away with charging us hundreds of dollars a month when us as women aren’t even allowed to use all of the facilities!! Kelly you need to get your facilities in line and practice what you preach according to your “strong commitment to DEI initiatives”!!

To say that customer service is poor will be a compliment since there is none, the Bridgewater location only has one manager Kelly Bender and she is never available and none of the desk concierge members know her schedule. We had an issue at the club and were told no one could help except for her, once we were able to talk to her we were faced with an incredibly unpleasant experience, she is under no means qualified to be a “manager” she clearly has no customer service training, she is rude, dismissive and threatened us to cancel our membership for asking questions. We hope that they review her performance if they wish to keep customer at this location. She made us feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable that we had to cancel our $320 membership online.

I just drove there, fought for parking with 50 other cars doing the same, then gave up after 10 minutes, and went home. I do everything right and make no excuses. This gym will drag you down and demotivate you. There are too many memberships for the location. Also, it's not the first time I gave up and went home. It's a recurring issue.

Great facilities but hard to find parking at times. Plenty of sun chair seating, but classes are often booked up. Lots of gym equipment

Bridgewater lifetime is the worst lifetime I've been to..they have open classes in gym area taking up space and equipment from everyone else...Furthermore they had 1 person working café area. Thr weights are all over the place lastly they don't have anyone cleaning...I'll never be back here
