To summarize, this is not the business you want to trust with something as valuable as your vehicle. Many of the good reviews are for routine services like inspections, oil changes, tires and brakes, but they also take on jobs beyond their skill level, which can result in serious damage to your well-maintained car. Moreover, they refuse to provide paperwork for warranty issues, which makes it difficult to hold them accountable through a credit card dispute or small claims court, especially when they have no shame in outright lying. If you still choose to use their services or need them to check for a warranty issue, insist on getting paperwork for every visit and document everything in emails addressed to them. This way, if they fail to address your concern properly, you'll have documentation to support your case. My failing to do so cost me $2000 and being on the hook to have the car properly repaired.
The longer version… I had been a customer for over two years, wanting to support a local mechanic and generally happy with their routine services. However, when I needed the torque converter replaced, the repair took longer than estimated. After picking up my car, I immediately noticed a grinding/rattling noise which had not been there before the service. I returned the next day and they claimed there was a break-in period for the new part. Despite several attempts of bringing the car back to diagnose the issue, nothing was ever resolved. My experience is very similar to another reviewer that also gave them 1-star.
I eventually opened a dispute with my credit card company, but lost because the shop never provided any paperwork for the warranty checks. In the dispute, it was their word against mine. They provided the initial invoice and another invoice for an unrelated "courtesy" service they performed later to appease me. They falsely claimed that I had not brought the car in for a month and a half and that I had been driving it without issues during that time.

Phil was able to diagnose the problem with my BMW X3 quickly. He also was able to do an oil change that was not scheduled! I was able to pick up my car within a few hours of dropping it off.

Can’t thank them enough for helping me with an unexpected bolt in my tire while I was an hour from home. They fixed it immediately upon arrival and didn’t try ripping me off, the fee was reasonable for STAT service.
