The sneaker class was great! Joan is a wonderful teacher and the folks at Old Spool were as nice and hospitable as could be. Store and work area was clean and neat. Work are was sufficient and work table was nice and high as I am tall so my back didn't hurt too bad when I was finished the class. Enjoyed the day and meeting new ladies in the class was nice as well.

Julia, Camille, and Diedra are so wonderful and helpful with any project. I've popped into the shop many times just to ask for advice and guidance. As a new quilter, I value their insight and welcome their quilting wisdom. I've took the beginner quilting class and enrolled in it again because I enjoyed it so much. All I do is smile, smile, smile...

I found the store/studio because I wanted to take my neice for her birthday and brush up on my sewing skills, too. I couldn't wait for class to roll around and when it finally did yesterday, it did not disapppoint! Julia is an amazing teacher and kept everyone engaged and on task. The store is so cute and I can't wait to go back for some 1-on-1 sessions. If you're thinking about it, stop thinking and just do it!

I have been to many different sewing studios and Old Spool is by far the best! Julia's knowledge is endless and her enthusiasm is wonderful. She patiently instructs each student and makes sure you understand what she just said. Patrick is kind, friendly and super helpful too. I look forward to attending another class soon.

I received a gift certificate to Old Spool when I retired. I signed up to take a class on how to sew a beach bag. Julia and her staff are very welcoming and super helpful in answering all my questions. Although I know how to sew, it’s been a long time since I was part of such a fun class. I look forward to participating in many more classes at this charming store as well as shopping for the best quality fabrics and essentials. Also offered at this location is top notch and reasonably priced sewing machine repairs. My old Kenmore is now good as new. I love this store, owners and staff.

My last sewing class was in 4th grade - 50 years ago? yikes... Julia (owner) Crushed It with a beginner class with great tips and tricks, do's and don'ts, this and that... I feel comfortable enough and inspired enough to start tackling some projects on my own now. Six stars Julia! grazie mille!

So our company has an industrial sewing machine that was in need of some TLC. So I brought the sewing machine in for service. Everyone was incredibly helpful and service was done faster than I thought. Patrick worked his magic on the machine. I had time today to give the machine some time. All I can say is that the sewing machine is working better than ever! Thank you againOur company had an industrial sewing machine that needed some TLC. So, I brought it in for service. Everyone was super helpful, and the service was done way faster than I expected. Patrick really worked his magic on the machine. I just got back from the beginner sewing class at Old Spool Sewing studio and Julia and her team have a GIFT for teaching. I thought it would be fun to learn how to sew and bought this class on a whim. It was a wonderful experience. Julia makes it easy to learn, all of my fellow classmates were friendly and fun, I sewed a cute little bag and had a great time. I can't wait to sign up for another class!
