I was not happy overall with my stay here. We arrived 30 minutes earlier than the check-in time at 4pm and did a quick check-in at the front desk to let them know we were there. The front desk took our names, we paid, and they informed us our room was being cleaned as we spoke and would most likely be ready before 4. We waited in the small game room. At 4:15, I hadn't received a text saying our room was ready, so I went to the front desk to inquire about it. She immediately said, we're giving you an upgrade to a larger room. We got the keys and went to the room. It was a nice 1 bedroom with a pull out couch and small kitchen. We noticed immediately that the toilet was broken, so I went to tell them I wanted the room we originally booked. They said it was already taken. That began my journey of visiting various rooms throughout the hotel to find one that was to my liking since the room I originally booked was gone. 6 rooms later, (2-the key didn't work because the scanner battery was dead, 2-located two steps away from the elevator doors, 1 had workers stuff in it and the last was in a dark corner located right next to the game room) the front desk clerk gave me a key to a penthouse on the top floor. An hour after we checked in, we finally had a room. I never went through such an ordeal. The place is a little run down and could use updating. All of the rooms I was able to see had something that could use repair or updating. I appreciate the help of the front desk clerk on shift that Friday night. She was alone from what I could see. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool and the fact that it was open until 10 pm, but that alone would not tempt me to book with this hotel again.

Nice quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of AC. Beachfront property. The rooms are far from ideal. The ac units are disgusting. The decor is VERY dated. You can certainly tell this place is from the 1920’

This resort is simply the Best! The property is clean, quiet, and peaceful! You're not stacked on top of your neighbors, and you feel safe and secure on the property. Our two-bedroom, two-bath suite and super-sized tub was so nice, we never bothered to visit the pool and other amenities! We came for a wedding, but I will literally return just to stay at the Legacy Vacation Resort! Great Job!Rooms: The rooms were large, with comfortable beds and extra blankets. The restrooms were also large with an awesome tub and shower. Lots of closet space and a private toilet. I couldn't have asked for more.Safety: There were around the clock security that you could see, but they didn't bother you or make you feel uncomfortable.

This could be an amazing place with some love. At check in the man was very nice, the location is fabulous. Our room 407, shouldn't be rented out. The ceiling and walls are falling apart letting little pieces of white dust everywhere, the window trim is falling off. The tub felt like you were trying to walk on a water bed. I didn't bother to complain after reading the reviews ( once we were there) the price of the 2 nights we stayed definitely did not reflect the state of this motel.

My husband and I recently stayed 5 days. This hotel was chosen for location and price yet, upon arrival, we were charged an additional “amenities fee” because they have a pool and game room. (Included in the price at EVERY other hotel we have EVER stayed at) They sold the room for one price yet, it cost more upon arrival. Check-in is an hour later and check-out, and hour earlier than every place we have ever stayed. The first room they put us in was ill-maintained to the point that the shades would not shut (1st floor, no privacy, outside lights kept me awake shower curtain so short water rained onto the floor, kitchenette was awful) that I asked for another room. Dirty sheets sat in piles in two hallways for 36 hours. One guest (a 911, twin towers survivor) got stuck in an elevator for 45 minutes, on 9.11.23!. The firemen, who rescued her said they had been going there all summer for the same reason. Rusty water from the faucets. A second shift, front desk staffer was watching a program on his monitor, set so loud, the sound filled the lobby and I had to lean over the counter to speak to him as it was too much trouble to pause it. The real irritant though was that the manager did not believe that my husband’s (100% disabled, marine corps, Vietnam vet who suffers from depression, ptsd, and a host of other maladies all these years after the war) service dog was truly a service dog so, they charged us $150 for EACH room for cleaning, raising our expected bill over $340! The place is ill-managed and maintenance is sorely neglected. The owners obviously have very little regard for customers or what was once a nice building. They are banking on the location, caring only about money. Now, we need to spend precious time and energy contesting the bill. We will not stay there again.

Me and my husband go to Cape May monthly but as I was looking on VBRO, the Legacy Vacation Resort came up and the pictures of the rooms were very nice (and misleading.) The room was gigantic and was the worst room I have ever seen. I have never stayed in a room that only had a 19 inch TV. The furniture was old, no curtains on the windows. The kitchen was the only thing that was okay, and the beach.I am so glad we had nice weather because I could've never stayed in that room. The bathroom was outdated, and had no storage. I usually try to find something good, but it was pretty hard to do with this place.

After 35+ years of vacationing at the Brigantine Inn, this year unfortunately will be our last. This trip it took 6 different rooms to find one that wasn't damaged and habitable for the week. Not once did the manager say a word to us. Upon check-out no, how was your stay, hope to see you again, just "room # and I'll email you recept to you". I love you Brigantine bit next year we will stay elsewhere.

My cheapness got the best of me. I always try to find the best deal but this time I should have spent the extra money to go somewhere else. At first look driving in the parking lot is a mess with garbage everywhere. There is no signage for the entrance and walking in it reminds me of The Tower of Terror at Disney. The lobby is uninviting and there’s no where to sit like it shows in the pictures. When we got to our room we heard water running and come to find out our hot water in the bath won’t turn off. We kept the door shut so we couldn’t hear it but because there’s no fan in the bathroom we had our own in room sauna for 2 days. The toilet paper was damp because of this and nothing could hang to dry. The floor was wet over by the air conditioner and the room itself had a gross feel to it. The bed was clean which was a plus. The hallways smell terrible and the pool looks like it has seen better days. The one plus side was the close proximity to the beach. Since there are a lot of timeshares here I know nothing will change or be refunded. All in all thank goodness my family can laugh about our stay and say it was an “experience” because we will never return and next time I am going to believe the reviews. Live and learn.

This hotel is horrible. Avoid at all costs. If I could give it ZERO stars I would. The door to my room didn't lock properly, the door assembly was askewed and didn't close properly. We could push the door open with one fingure after attempting to close. When we told the front desk and showed them the video of the door not locking correctly, they bushes it off as if it was nothing. I did not feel safe in this hotel AT ALL! I was waiting to turn the corner and our room door to be wide open. The service was awful, they did not care about any of our concerns or any issues within the hotel or the rooms.Safety: Only some doors are key locked, could easily walk up to the second building and get to the rooms with no security at all.

We stayed 2 nights last week. As many have stated, the hotel is in need of some updates. However, it was clean, the staff was friendly, the restaurant/bar on site is amazing and it's located right on the beach!!! We easily looked over some chipped paint and low water pressure to be staying in an affordable hotel directly on the beach connected to a restaurant with nightly live entertainment and amazing food. We had a fantastic time and plan to come back.

Decided to book a 1 night stay so we could do a beach/pool day for 2 days in a row for our young kids. We tried to rinse the sand off before the pool but found the shower in the pool area didn't work, both male and female showers in the changing rooms didn't work and the shower in our own hotel room didn't work. There was constant water on the kitchen floor. Refrigerator leaking? There was no bath towels in our room for showers. Had to ask the front desk if it was not standard to have bath towels already waiting when we checked in. Our hotel room for 4 people only had 3 chairs around the table. Went to wash our beach towels for the next day in their laundry room which was $2 for washer and $2 for dryer but it was only quarters. The front desk said they had no quarters to exchange with our dollar bills. Majority of the arcade games were quarters only as well so no arcade games. We checked the ice machine multiple times, no ice. Overall horrible experience and will not be coming back. It's a shame because we had awesome memories here from when we were kids.

WARNING WARNING WARNING;Stay here at your own risk, we saw the previous reviews and decided to take the risk and try this place cause it was right on the beach but talk about Bait and Switch!! When we first pulled it looked like a miniature and run down version of all of the pictures, the parking lot is tiny and the Valet is for the restaurant not the hotel lol; you have to move one of the cones and park in them if you’re a hotel guest,When we went inside it smelt like you left clothes in the washing machine for 24hrs, woman at the front desk was definitely a little unwelcoming and said check isn’t until 4pm, we have no rooms. It was 1:40pm and I know we were early but most hotels will let you check in and just come back later. They we basically telling us to get out for now lol. Walked around a title and decided I’d rather lose what I spent in the stay and go somewhere else

Place is a dump. Then they take your $100 “security deposit” at check out and tell you it’s a resort fee. Vacationers Beware! … And don’t bothering trying to call and actually talk to someone in charge. Front desks says “call the owner”, while Legacy Resorts pretends to tell you they will have a manager return your call. - Georgette Biscotto Room 222

I only put on star in rooms because there wasn't one for zero. The rooms were smelly dirty and run down. The pictures shown were probably taken when they first opened. The front desk staff we were told that they didn't have staff to clean the rooms because they were let go early for mother's day. I would never stay there or refer anyone to that place. As of yet we haven't been refunded our money.Noteworthy details: Dirty, mold on the walls , furniture is falling apart smelly and run down.
