I cannot recommend 12 Oz Studios in Brooklawn, NJ enough - and Tami Rose as an Artist. I went in for a simple sketch - a sketch of my son's who passed recently - so, simple but incredibly meaningful. Not only do I LOVE the tattoo, the care, attention to detail & compassion that Tami Rose gave, was just as important. It was so evident how important it was for her to, 'get it right', while clearly explaining what the craft can & cannot do - long term. I'm so grateful. In addition, hearing the way she spoke of 12 Oz Studios & the positive culture - especially for women - was So great to hear and another reason to give this place a shout out. I had such a great experience at 12oz Studios, specifically with Luis Garcia. Luis was super professional and explained everything and answered all of my questions. It was my first ever piercing and he made is super easy. I would highly recommend them to anybody that wants to get a piercing.

Amazing experience.
Luis Garcia is one of the most incredible piercers i have ever met.
so incredibly kind, honest, professional and so knowledgable about his craft.
He immediately made me felt safe.
i couldnt recommended him enough.
clean beautiful atmosphere.
and customer service was amazing as well.
everyone was on top of it,
between scheduling an appointment, consent forms and answering any questions i had.

Luis did such a great job!!!! I got my nose pierced and he calmed me down and made sure I was comfortable. He gave me the run down of everything I needed to know and he was super caring and professional. Very funny and friendly!! I’ll definitely come back!

I brought my grandmom here so her and I could get tattoos. Tami tattooed both of us back to back and she was amazing. She made sure we both had what we really wanted, and gave us better tattoos than our inspiration. I would recommend her to anyone.

Luis Garcia was amazing. He took really good care of me and helped me out I got gauges for the first time and everything he did was awesome and what he taught me also. Really amazing guy to be around. 12 oz got an amazing piercer on there team with an amazingly clean shop. Definitely will be back. Thank you guys.

I’ve been getting pierced by Luis for over a year now, and I have to say that every experience with him has been absolutely wonderful. From jewelry selection to placement to the piercing process itself, Luis is flawless. His space is comforting and sterile, and his energy is immaculate!! I highly recommend getting pierced by Luis @ 12 Oz. Studios in Brooklawn!!

I am absolutely delighted with my tattoo by Mike Wolfinger. It is exactly what I wanted, and every time I see it, I smile a little. Which is a big deal considering it's a memorial tattoo! It healed quickly and well. Only my 3rd tattoo in 30 years but the best experience by far. I expect the 4th will be coming soon. Thank you so much.

I would not recommend coming here for a first piercing or any piercing in general. The atmosphere with the piercer Luis Garcia was very hostile, condescending, and intimidating especially for people who have anxiety or are nervous. He was very rude and angry.I came here on my birthday to pierce my nostril I felt like the placement was off and I told him if he could move it to the right he told me that he couldn’t go “right” he could only go forwards, back, etc… I was confused on directions he was giving me and tried to explain to him but he cut me off multiple times and I still wasn’t getting it instead of trying explain he just raised his voice and repeated himself and when it didn’t work he got visibly upset and raise his voiced and repeated it again as if it would work he was condescending throughout the whole experience. He made smart condescending remarks with a lot of attitude when I was concerned about bleeding he said “yea that happens on human days”and before that got mad that I didn’t think the placement was correct and blamed me for making him late to his other appointments I can honestly say I was 5-10 minutes late but once I got there we had to wait about 20-25 minutes for him to pierce me. I came here last year for a piercing everything was ok he was still condescending and hostile but wasn’t necessarily rude the process was smooth seemed hygienic and the price was reasonable so I’m not sure what happened this time. I don’t know if he is the owner or not but his behavior was not professional at all and he should work on getting over his personal feelings on his own time and not take his frustration and insecurities out on the clients who are getting permanent things done to their body. He rushed the process and didn’t properly close the piercing I had to take the bottoms piece off and close it properly on my own at home. Both times the receptionist were really nice and welcoming I’ve only had a problem with him.

Hated the service. Staff told me how shitty my jewelry was before even seeing it, charged me a 20 dollar fee to unscrew my dermal and replace the jewelry topper. Pinched it in place and twisted, causing pain and swelling. Dermals are very sensitive implants and causing trauma to it isn't a good thing. Piercer was so full of himself but could barely make eye contact with me as I'm trying to have a conversation. Would never go back. Poor service very bad 1/100. He told me my dermal was 100 PERCENT going to reject in less than a few years like shut TF up not even true Dermals can last a long while especially if taken care of, Ps I called the shop I originally got the implant done (skin deep tattoo in Philadelphia) and they told me he was bullshitting about using two tools at once to remove/replace jewelry topper for dermal, because they have special tools specifically to reduce manipulation on anchor.
