If I could give zero I would; self checkout guy 9:50pm 7/27 was beyond rude when I asked him why the pin pad wasn’t working and made an inappropriate remark and laughed at another customer about me and then shouted to his supervisor about working above his pay grade. He didn’t even do anything but tell me that’s a me problem.
Thing is, I went to the regular checkout and had no problem over there. I was so frazzled from being disrespected, I almost forgot to put my pickles down on the belt. She politely reminded me.
I used to shop at Brooklawn ShopRite all the time. I usually go to Acme and never get this treatment. Only went because I was on my way home from the gym and was passing it on the way to my friends house.
If I would have behaved like that, when I used to work at ShopRite, I would have certainly been written up for talking to a co-worker like that, let alone a customer.
I’ll be telling my friend and his mom that I’m not taking them there anymore after that.
Idk what kind of people you’re attracting to that job, but he has no business in customer service. Some people don’t belong in positions interacting with others.

How about prices on everything?
Next how about sales that are somewhat accurate in the produce section? Every scale is either above zero or below, none are zeroed out! Get to the checkout and find out i bought half a pound more than I wanted! Lady says well do you want to put some back? Sure I want to walk across the store and try and figure it out again. How about you fix the problem? I'm done. I'll try another place with price tags and scales.

Positive attitude from staff. Knowledge able staff, courteous , and attentive. Helped get reward points without a card , prices are far more reasonable

Foods rotten when I get it home more than half the time
Produce is horrible store smells bad
Manager said they buy it from veercios
Been buying large single potatoes because 5lb bags are green or rotten
Now missing a main ingredient for my family supper

Self checkout requires the clerk to approve skipping bagging every 4 items so good luck if you have multiple items you don't want to bag and the clerk walks away from her screen!!!
Also, main entrance is closed after 8pm; why? Because shoprite is too cheap to hire someone to watch that door? So we get the bonus of squeezing past customers who are leaving the store and have to squeeze through checkout. Stop being an awful cheap company and actually improve your store.

I came here on an instacart shop yesterday, the first time I shop in this store, and while the layout and convenience of items is there, it's lacking something every store needs to succeed. Employees willing to help customers readily and nicely. I asked one employee if there was only one spot they keep the rotisserie chicken and they said yes, started to walk away while I'm asking a second question and when that was over she asked if that was it while walking away. Couldn't have felt smaller. The cashier's at self check out need to worry more bout the customers needing help then the conversation that could be held later say..at a highschool gym. One of them acted as though i had asked something so horrible as to if they had bags. I saw the eye roll like they actually had to work. I waited twice for 4 minutes for one of the gabbers to press a button to fix my register. Only when I told my husband standing at the door that I was waiting for assistance, did the button get pressed. They are not watching customers to make sure they didn't not scan something. When the registers don't have an audible beep that's an issue. Especially when the employees are so wrapped up in conversation. Many people could have walked out with so much and they never would have known. I'm for sure avoiding this ShopRite. No friendliness customer assistance at this store.

I have done order from home to pick up a few times. They never ask about a replacement. They just don't give you it! Olive oil, bread, chicken broth... etc. I have used other shoprites and and they are much better!
