I had a chic weekend and from the moment we arrived this past Friday until we left Sunday, every staff member we met could not have been nicer.
Checking in was a breeze with staff who were funny and accommodating. Going to the beach - staff helped us with chairs and an umbrella was the nicest and easy go person. Our air conditioner was loud - viola they replaced it with a brand new air conditioner quiet as a mouse. HELLO - customer service over the edge. Our room as impeccable and clean. Every time we turned around staff were helping, cleaning or on the move to help someone.
Want to stay in Cape May in a clean, inviting room with every detail met - even roses made on the end of the toilet paper and more. This place is a must stop - every detail is welcomed and unexpected surprises at every turn .

We stayed at Icona one night to celebrate my birthday in Cape May. Icona was the only hotel I could find that would allow us to stay one night and I’m thankful for that. Our room was clean and well appointed. Location is great right across from the beach and next to Hemingway’s restaurant which we enjoy. Parking can be a bit tough because there are not enough spaces for the amount of rooms. Luckily the valet held our car and then parked us when a space became available. We will be back.

Not sure why google gives this place a two star rating. I would say it’s a three star hotel. The rooms are nice and updated. Bathrooms are nice and overall location is decent (right across from the beach) staff was friendly and we had an enjoyable stay. We were with family and had a few different rooms. All were nice! I would watch out for the amenity fee if booking through 3rd party it’s steep. I would also give yourself time when heading to the beach or utiliIng the shuttle. The hotel provides many great amenities however we did have a decent wait time. We waited about an hour for them to get our chairs and umbrella for the beach. We also waited about 25 minutes for the shuttle. It was not the staff they all do a lovely job it was just the volume and amount of people working.

The location and amenities make the stay so much more convenient. It’s ocean front with beach tags, chairs, and towels included in the stay. The shuttle service makes getting around Cape May so convenient. The staff is really nice and helpful too. I was a little surprised by the size of the room and the pool, I think on social media it looked bigger to me. But access to the pool is nice when you need a break from the sand or just wanna cool off quick. The balconies for every room was nice. Would be a little nicer if it faced the ocean instead of the street. Overall a great stay.

We stayed here for a weekend in July. The rooms were very small so good for 2 people but no more than that (in a king room). We did get a balcony with a view of the ocean which was beautiful. There aren't any restaurants in this hotel, or any service at the pool (which is different than the Icona in Stone Harbor). The pool was also small but heated, really just meant for dipping after the ocean which was great. The hotel is literally across the street from the beach and the guys who helped bring chairs and umbrellas to the beach for you and set them up were GREAT! That was a huge perk of why we chose this hotel. Also free shuttle service anywhere in Cape May. The hotel was great for what we needed but if you are looking for any sort of a fun vibe I would say this Icona location is more chill than anything and still a 15 minute walk from most restaurants, ice cream, etc.

I really liked this hotel. We were very happy to have a free shuttle service. The staff is very nice and courteous. The rooms are clean and spacious. The views are beautiful, even from the side of the hotel. The kitchenettes are well-stocked with dishes and cutlery. I also liked the extra seating and table in the room. It's in walking distance to everything. We got breakfast at Hemingways next door. It's also a good place to walk over to buy food or alcohol if wanted. My only complaint about the hotel is the pool. It was very small for a hotel pool. It gets crowded with more than five guests. We are definitely returning soon. It's in the perfect location with perfect access to the beach. There's also an Italian ice stand across the street, perfect for kids.

Stayed for one night in June and it was a weekend. This is one of the only hotels in Cape May that will allow you to stay one night. We were greeted by the Bell boy which was very friendly and helpful with our luggage. Went to the front desk to get our room again was met with very friendly people and had our room within five minutes. Our room was very clean and also very modern. We did not have a view of the ocean. We did have street view. I definitely would recommend this hotel. The the best amenity of this hotel in my opinion is the complementary shuttle that will take you anywhere in Cape May and pick you up. I believe it runs till 10 PM. It does have a pool.

Room was a bit small, but large enough. Well situated within Cape May. Nice van service taking people around the Cape.

Sister got married here years ago, was planning to send my parents back but unfortunately dad is in hospital. They were very gracious and allowed a refund of our reservation. Looking forward to rebooking when dad is well.

Really nice hotel just across the street from a less crowded stretch of beach.
The room was spacious (we booked the 2 queen bed, side facing room) and the little kitchenette was convenient. It was clean and updated. We did have a partial view of the ocean from our balcony. Includes heated pool access and beach passes, too. Parking wasn't bad, the hotel has a lot and there's street parking in the back.
Location-wise, it's about a 20 min easy walk from the main street area. They offer a shuttle service on weekends but we didn't have to use it.
The only thing that is missing is there is no nearby cafe or quick place to grab food, so it's either restaurant or bring snacks to the room especially for breakfast.

It was horrible! The manager is so rude that you forget your on vacation. The bath tub was dirty with a missing part. The suite
Was smaller than what appeared on their pictures.

Short jaunt to the shore for memorial day weekend introduced me to the Icona Cape May. Hotel was quiet which was fantastic.
Room was very clean, bathrooms are lovely and spacious. It's not overly lux but perfect for a getaway. Beds a little too soft for my liking but not bad.
Location was nice. It's about a 20-25 min walk to the good restaurant and shops area. Walk across the street and you're at the beach. The chair service is very nice.
Parking was easy, im sure its fully packed during high season though so get there early and park and leave it.
Definitely stay here for a nice shore stay.

Matt was very accommodating and the crab cake recipe is so good it’s heavily guarded by the staff. Great experience, even better crab cake.

We stayed at this hotel during the off-season and were pleasantly surprised by how affordable it was. Everything exceeded our expectations — the hotel is beautifully designed, very stylish, and the atmosphere is bright, clean, and welcoming. The rooms were modern and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
One of the highlights of our stay was the hotel’s private driver service. If you want to go into town for a walk or a drink, you can easily request a driver who will not only take you there but also bring you back — a unique service we haven’t seen at other hotels!
The hotel is also very family-friendly — our kids had a great time. The parking garage is located right in the building, which is super convenient. There’s even an elevator from the garage that takes you almost directly to your room. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Providing a weekend shuttle service added to the value, a very nice touch! Our room was fairly clean, we had a small ants problem and the front desk was informed. We couldn’t use ICONA Diamond Beach as it’s separate. Overall, it was good and I’d stay here again.
