We always have to pop on here while visiting Cape May. Lots of hand blown glass items and wood and felt Swedish dolls.

An interesting shop with many handcrafted items. Nice selections...great for gift giving. I have purchased really nice holiday ornaments in the past. Owner? Always makes you feel welcome.

My first thought was "What a cute shop!" And then I saw some earrings I was interested in, and then my next thought was "I think this lady thinks I'm going to steal earrings," followed by "Wow, she is really following me around this counter. Maybe I should just leave.." We did eventually but a few items from this store, but I didn't like the weird following me around while I was shopping. I understand that they are trying to prevent shoplifting, but you can't treat everyone like they're going to rob you.

This was a cool shop to check out, everything is from Sweden so they had all kinds of unique snacks and stuff!

There are some beautiful overpriced glass ware. The food however is not good and overpriced. They are the only "game in town" so I guess the attitude is pay what the owner says the item is worth. A example of this are the Russian nesting dolls- which frankly have nothing to do with this Nordic store. I've been to Russia and Russian stores NE Philly - and the prices are 4x what they charge in Philly. Not particularly customer friending enviornment.

This shop is absolutely breath-taking. Beautiful and unique items. A great place to find that perfect gift for someone. Just walking through and looking at the wonderful items is a treat. Be sure to stop in and see for yourself!

Located right on the Washington Street Mall, Swede Things has an interesting mix of things and as the name suggests has a high concentration of Swedish and European sourced wares. They have an incredible selection of sun and windcatchers, candles, socks and figurines as well as seasonal items. We liked the European candy section and they had a vast collection of hand towels of every color, design and saying, of which my wife bought one. Nice little shop to browse.

I purchased some items at this store which were overpriced but we were on vacation and having fun. The food items are of very low quality but I read through the ingredients and settled upon a chocolate bar from Iceland. When I tried the chocolate I had to spit it out as did another family member I asked to sample it. It had such a horrible taste and didn't even resemble the taste of chocolate. I looked at my receipt and saw that it was $12 and change which is absurd. The following evening I took my receipt along with the chocolate back to the store to tell them. The girl at the register said she had to go ask her manager. Then a beastly little woman came to the front and without even a dialog immediately looked at the bar and said, "no way can we take something that has been opened like that back". I glanced down at the bar, other than the flap of paper being away from the rest of the bar, it looked perfect. You would think I came back in with my chewed pieces the way she was looking at me. I said, "how am I supposed to know what it tasted like without opening it to try it?". She said, "I have never even seen somebody try to take back a food item before". I said, "well it's inedible and it was almost $13". Then she said, "well we all eat it here and think it's just fine". I couldn't even believe my ears. After spending hundreds of dollars at her store and not even to get so much as an apology is just revolting. I am a business owner myself and this is unacceptable. This women has no couth and should not be in the line of business where she would have to interact with people since she obviously is a troll who hates her job.

This place has some different items, but I had a problem with the service. This is not uncommon in New Jersey, apparently. People can- and frequently are- unabashedly rude. The middle aged cashier seemed to pretend she wasn't aware of my presence. The young girl who also worked there (her daughter?) was really sweet though. She rang me up. My mother, who was with me, was also making a purchase. Instead of waiting on her, the other (the middle aged) lady took the person who was standing BEHIND my mom. I said to her that my mom was also waiting to be checked out. She said she started ringing that person up beforehand, however that patron was nowhere near the register while we were there. She was just rude, and I was really offended by the way she acted towards us.

Very cute shop! I have memories of going here as a little kid and seeing all the Christmas stuff. Shop owner (? woman at desk--probably owner) was very polite and talkative, and the store has SO many cute things. Another reviewer said, "be prepared to part with your hard owned money", and I could NOT agree more! A def standout shop, with unique decor and gifts. A MUST GO!

There is always one amazingly cute shop in a small town that stands out. In Cape May, this store takes the cake. Just too many adorable things here from little figurines to holiday ornaments, prepare to part with your hard earned money. Cuteness overload.
