I always come to this area for work. My company lets me choose where I stay. is the first time I come to this hotel. It was actually an accident. I usually go to the other Holiday Inn express about 20 minutes or so away. And usually the Holiday Inn express is pretty good, but this one they seem very cheap on everything. And not courteous at all. They wouldn’t even extend my checkout time to 12 o’clock on a Sunday. Definitely will be the last time I’ll be using this hotel. I’m not usually too picky. I don’t really leave reviews so these people pissed me off enough to do it.Noteworthy details: Not the best friend hotel

Stayed here for 7 nights, and really liked this hotel. We had a basic double queen room with a desk, small tv, bathroom, and a little hallway with sink, mini fridge, and microwave. For the long stay, it was nice having the two sinks, fridge, and microwave. I liked the little in-hotel market open 24/7 for late night munchies. Everyone I encountered at the hotel was nice. One of the late night munchies for ramen, we needed hot water that had run out from the food buffet area and the front desk person got us hot water. For the busy holiday week, we were worried there wouldn’t be enough food at breakfast, but it was replenished throughout the breakfast time frame, even 20/30 minutes before closing. The hot breakfast foods were rotated each morning which helped with the variety. There is a Mexican restaurant next door, and a lot of other restaurants are in close driving distance proximity (Italian, sushi, drinks, etc). I also liked that there was a Costco gas about 10 min away. There was enough parking even with the busy holiday. The room we had, had a nice distant view of the city, which was pretty at night. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

It was a really good experience. We came late so they let us have the pool for one more hour, they also really help out with breakfast (it was really good) . And if you want room service you can just call them from your room and they'll answer in one second. Also all the tourist attraction are very close like times Square liberty ext. And really cheap. You should really visit

Close to sports, shopping, and dining! It’s older place but well kept inside and out. Stayed here couple times now, no complaints. Front desk staff friendly and eager to help with any questions or concerns. Ample parking around the building. Easy to find and convenient location. They have a snack shop area, pool and fitness center. Breakfast in the morning 6:30 to 9 on weekdays and 7 to 10 on weekends. Fresh coffee is ready earlier. Would stay here again when in the area.

Gave a rating of 4 mostly because the beds/pillows were very comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was great. Affordable and close to Medieval Times, which is what we were looking for. Quick and easy check in/out.I would suggest the representatives, when calling the hotel, don't say that the pool is heated when it is not. The pool wasn't as clear as expected, so I am not sure of that was for any particular reason or just because there weren't any lights inside the pool. Also, there seemed to be water drips coming from the ceiling into the pool. Again, I couldn't associate the drips coming from toilet, shower, sink water etc., but very concerning as you wouldn't want to have any accidents come from it.We also booked two rooms and was told we would be right next door, however, were put in rooms about 10 rooms away from each other! Luckily, when we brought it up to the staff, they were nice and changed the rooms for us.Water pressure in the rooms was very low, but we could deal with it. We were also told we could have a late check out at 12pm in both rooms when we checked in, however, when we called to confirm in the morning, we were denied for one of the rooms. Not sure why it was offered and approved the night before then declined the next day, but whatever. Luckily we had the two rooms.

I would have rated this hotel a 5star but the indoor pool is super small! It literally only allows 5-6 people. However, the staff is amazing for sure! Super friendly and there to help you meet your needs.

So glad I booked this place for my girls trip to NYC. Very clean with lots of convenient add ons. Service was great and staff were very polite and helpful. A special thanks to Bassant, a front desk staff who welcomed us on our first day and went above and beyond in making sure we were well settled and comfortable.Nearby activities: Great location if looking for a clean, safe and affordable place to stay while visiting NYC! About a 20 min bus ride to Time Square, with the bus stop approx. a 5 minute walk away. While there, we also noticed a huge shopping mall/ activity center a short drive away.Food & drinks: Decent restaurants (Mexican and Italian) located just a few feet away.

We booked this hotel for pool and weren't able to use it at all. It's the size of a bed, so small with 2 families In there it's max capacity! No hot tub or safe in room either for $300 a night is ridiculous! Facility was clean and staff nice. Whoever decided to put the Pancake maker machine at the end of the breakfast line smarten up. How insane to make everyone who just wants to grab a bagel or muffin wait until people cool pancakes! Don't be fooled by pictures pool is a toy pool!

We checked into the Holiday Inn Express, and chose this location since it's conveniently close to the American Dream theme park and mall. The perks of this hotel is that it's cheap, it's clean, or appears to be, there is an indoor pool, and they offer free breakfast and Wi-Fi. The cons are that there really isn't a view, or at least your view is a construction site, and because it is cheap, you get a lot of families who take over the breakfast dining area if you go too late. We stayed on the 4th floor, and the machine was broken, but everything else was working. The parking is limited and spaces are tight. The service was fine, since they kept the breakfast bar pretty well stocked, and the receptionist was helpful. I would probably consider staying here again, if visiting the area in the future.

It was conveniently located to many locations. The pool was much smaller than anticipated and much colder. I had to ask for towels constantly at the pool. this morning the pool opened at 9am, there were no towels. I went to the front desk and asked for some and was told they would be delivered. Thirty minutes later, still no towels. Go back to find the girl at the front desk on her cell phone texting. Finally got towels. We did have a noise issue with upstairs neighbors Friday night so I called to front desk.front desk came to my room and asked me to quiet down. I was not too impressed with this location. I enjoy Holiday Inn Express as a brand but I won't be back to here again.Rooms: Rooms are clean and well stocked.Nearby activities: Very close the giant mall, Giants stadium and medevial times.Food & drinks: Do not go to the Mexican place next door.twrrible service and food. Only go for Margarita and atmosphere

Partner and I stayed the weekend for a wedding. We had an OK experience though, truthfully, were it not for the wedding party discount, we probably would've opted for another hotel. We got a pretty clear impression from the get-go that this place is geared towards lower-income people. Lots of big, noisy families running up and down the halls. On the morning we were scheduled to check out, we witnessed a loud argument between several of the housekeeping staff literally right outside our door. The surrounding area in general isn't so great (save for the trippin' Mexican restaurant next door). Lobby breakfast is a venerable feeding frenzy, and with nowhere near enough space for everyone. The hotel has a tiny sundries shop and a serviceable indoor pool (4.9 ft deep). There's also a minimalist fitness room next to the pool. It only has some cardio equipment and a few light dumbbells, but at least it's open 24-hours.Maybe the best thing this Holiday Inn Express has going for it is the fact that it has multiple entrances. Our room was literally feet from our parking spot, especially handy for transporting our luggage and keeping an eye on our vehicle. Normally, you're forced to stay at a Motel 6 for that kind of convenience. It would've been nice if there was more than one ice machine in the entire hotel, though, and that it wasn't located on the top floor. As for our room, it was fine. King bed and most of the usual amenities. For some reason, we were given a handicapped room, which came with a walk-in shower and (for some reason) two showerheads. But it was clean and comfortable. It was a little hard to sleep the first night due to someone in the adjacent room blasting an old sitcom on their TV.All in all, nice room, but we probably wouldn't stay at this Holiday Inn Express again unless we were on a shoestring budget and every other hotel in the area was booked.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was hot and everything was clean and tidy.Walk to the bus into NYC was easy and convenient. My only tiny complaint (which is probably not anything the hotel can fix) is that coming back at night the NJ Transit bus driver doesn't stop at each stop unless asked, so we had to keep an eye out to make sure to ring the bell so the driver would stop.

My husband and I choose to stay at this hotel while we had tickets to the NJ American Dream Water Park. The day that we were there a decorative object fell and the park was evacuated. My husband and I decided it was still early in the day and our kids were traumatized by the experience we had, so we decided to call the hotel and drive back home. We asked to speak to a manager and was told there was no manager on site. We called each day, and on the 4th day we finally reached someone that told us there was nothing they could do to help us. The lady said the water park incident was not their fault. We understood and asked since we could not receive a refund for our 1 night stay, would it be possible to have a gift card? They said that was not their policy. Very poor customer service. We understand their policy, but the manager was not accommodating in helping us with any other offers.

Upon arrival the sweet girl at the desk with the pretty red hair checked us in super quick, she was so sweet!!! The room was immaculate, cleanest room we have stayed in so far!! Bathroom stocked with plenty of towels, shampoo etc. Nice sized mini fridge and cute little kitchen area. Bed and pillows super soft, got a good nights sleep each night. Breakfast area was super clean, fully stocked constantly, nice variety of breakfast items both hot and cold and super friendly workers. After our day out and about we came back to a nice cleaned room, fully stocked again. The whole hotel experience here was wonderful, we will definitely recommend and will return!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were comfortable, beds were decent. Water pressure and temperature was great. Would recommend staying if in need in this area. Very convenient for MetLife stadium and even for traveling to
