ShopRite sells rotten fruits in their stores. There is no quality control in all the stores they have. Law enforcement should kick in and see why these stores are selling stuff detrimental to health.

The WORST experience with Shop From Home I’ve ever had. First, I was told my order would be delayed from 1:30, no problem. They text me at 2pm that “Good News” my order was ready. I got here 40min later. I checked in on the app after running into the store because they claimed they didn't have something, but they did - ok fine. I then proceeded to sit in my spot which I checked in at for over an hour! Absolutely unacceptable. I was a customer at Parsippany for years before this experience at Morristown and honestly I am considering shopping there again even though I moved to Morristown. Horrible. I should have known better because I witnessed someone else having issues with them too but you always want to give grace. However, this is just poor communication and management. Horrible. At 3:35 I still didn't have my food and they charged ME for this “service”.

Extremely Disrespectful and Discriminatory Experience – 8/3/25
Today (8/3), I had one of the worst shopping experiences at this ShopRite. The cashier at the express lane—a woman with glasses—was blatantly rude and discriminatory.
First, she kept questioning how many items I had, claiming it “looked like a lot,” even though I was clearly under the 20-item limit. I was standing right in front of her—nothing was hidden. I ignored her the first few times, but after the fourth unnecessary comment, I told her directly that I had counted and was under the limit. Thankfully, my receipt confirmed it.
Then things got even worse. She snatched the receipt from my hand and said she was checking if I paid for a rump roast. I explained that there was no rump roast in my cart—only neck bones—and that everything I bought was on the receipt. Still, she continued digging through my cart, treating me like I was stealing.
Here’s the part that truly upset me: she didn’t question or inspect a single white customer in the express lane—but she chose to target us, a brown and Black couple. No one else was interrogated, no one else’s cart was searched. It was clear racial profiling, and it was humiliating.
ShopRite needs to address this immediately. No one should be treated like a criminal while grocery shopping, and absolutely no one should be targeted based on their race. This employee’s behavior was completely unacceptable and needs to be held accountable.

Was here 7/26/25 and what a well stocked store. Bought cupcakes for a party. Was able to get get prices on burgers, tonic and liquor. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Lots of wonderful variety and most items available. I wish my local shop rite was this nice. I loved the many specialty areas with lots of different imported items!

I purchased pizza dough and the container where they make their pizzas. This was the worst pizza though I’ve had and I’ve been to a good number of stores. Even Aldi‘s has a better pizza dough. This pizza dough would not roll out would stick to the roller with stick to everything the table, my hands And I put a lot of flower on it and it still did it. I’ve never had pizza dough that was this bad. It was a real aggravating situation, especially when you’re trying to make something and the product you’re using is the worst you’ve ever used. I’ve called the store. His answer was oh it’s the same pizza though we used to make our pizzas. I mean, I looked at the pizzas and the pizza. I would never buy a pizza there, but I figured to dough would be something different. Apparently not they wanted to give me more and replace it and what good does that do if they give you the same product and they haven’t fixed the product

Terrible! Was chased through the parking lot by a pharmacy employee who cut me off trying to get into the parking lot. I honked at her because she was so close to hitting me. She then laid on her horn, gave me the finger and then slammed on her brakes, I can only guess was in the hopes that I would hit her - did this several more times. She then followed me around the Shoprite parking lot, yelling and threatening me. I pulled to the front of the store and asked for help and security because I was terrified. Then I find out she works there and the store assistant managers did nothing but let her go to work and tell me they had to speak to the store manager who was on vacation and then review the video. They did ask if I wanted to fill out an incident report which I did. There incident report was a blank piece of copy paper - no formal form or anything! There were 2 witnesses that came forward and confirmed the events but that didn't seem to matter. There was no security present. Terrible, frightening experience.

I’ve been to many ShopRite’s all over and I’ve never found one with a lot of obvious problems. First, I noticed a lot of the produce is expired and molded and still sitting where it’s not supposed to be. Why waste food like that and have spoiled food be sold like that? That is so bad. Have more respect for food and for people buying it.
Secondly, I ordered a fish at a little after 8pm on a Tuesday which is what I came for. I saw that the whole fish was a good price so I asked for two. I asked nicely for it to be scaled and cleaned and the man (who had his entire face covered) literally gave me the worst expression ever and proceeded to shake his head. He said he’s about to “go home” to which I said I didn’t know they were about to close. I asked what time they close the seafood dept and he just shook his head and didn’t answer me and I asked again so he again shook his head and didn’t answer me and slammed the fish I had ordered on the scale and said come back in 20 minutes. I had a bad feeling so I waited around and looked at other prepackaged fish I could buy that maybe would allow him to put the fish back. However I was buying for my child who does not eat the prepackaged fish they had out. Anyway he scaled and cleaned my fish and I thanked him and apologized about three times to which he replied “he just wants to go home” yet proceeded to take the next few customers that were there and got along PERFECTLY FINE with them and even said hello and how are you to them. I didn’t understand if I was being racially profiled for my headscarf or not? Why are people like this?
Listen, I don’t know what the problem is with people nowadays but I don’t care if you work 12 hours at your job, that’s your job and you do it with all the care and love you have because that is your life. Your job is your life. If you live miserably and upset people with your demeanor then simply work somewhere else or do not work long shifts and speak with management about working another department. And I know management knows who exactly I’m talking about and what I’m talking about because I passed right by the seafood station 15 minutes later to see the same guy standing there while I’m wondering about why he was so angry with me and wanted to leave to “go home”
I used to work with angry nurses, angry physicians and people who hated their job. However I always reminded these people that there are others willing to take their place. There is opportunities out there that’s good for you and better for you. You slam someone’s food then display a big attitude about it then DONT WORK THAT JOB. I too also worked 12 hour days and I know it’s hell but you do not take it out on your customers and the take the next customer as if nothing happened. Learn some etiquette because I have seen much better from stores in areas where crime rates are high, places you would not expect. Learn manners and have class when dealing with people. Management and staff, DO BETTER

Spent over 50 minutes waiting for my order pick up. Was told by the woman to check in, meanwhile I did 50 minutes ago. Completely unacceptable and ridiculous that they offer this service and are unable to provide appropriately.

Disrespectful floor staff. Disrespectful manager. Floor staff allowed to treat people extremely unprofessionally and store manager equally dismissive when complaints were brought up. Go shop elsewhere where the staff is actually trained to handle customer disputes in a professional manner and actually listens to their customers when there are actual issues with respect.

Food is decent but if you are poor or of color other shoppers may look at you strange or stare at you.
