Chatham Post Office saves the day!! Hopefully, this is a sign of better days for the Chatham Post Office! Liz Estevez, the postmaster from Bedminster who is currently serving as the Officer-in-Charge in Chatham while the current postmaster is on leave, basically performed a miracle just before Christmas! A special-order photo memory book for my son went missing when UPS dropped off a whole batch of deliveries to the wrong post office earlier last week. Liz made it her personal mission to track down my son's package which turned out to have been delivered to Rutherford. She arranged with the Rutherford Post Office to have it overnighted to Chatham. Liz kept me informed throughout the process with multiple phone calls and even called me from her home on Christmas Eve morning to let me know that the package had arrived in Chatham and was on its way to my house. Just as I imagined, the gift turned out to be my son's favorite, and the whole experience went from something that started out as aggravating to actually renewing my spirit. It was a great reminder to me of how our good deeds impact the lives of others. A big THANK YOU to Liz Estevez for her amazing efforts and cheers to better days to come for the Chatham Post Office!!

The absolute worst customer service. They are refusing to deliver mail to my mailbox because of recent construction. Apparently you are not allowed to do construction and relocate a mailbox 5 feet from original location. Now we have not received mail for multiple months and the post master refuses to assist. What a joke!

Infuriating service. I've shipped a box with shampoo to Europe, when shipping it I've declared every item and the box got accepted by the post office clerk with the total price of deliver of almost $90.In a couple of days, I received the box delivered back to my house with the note that it was refused by the airline because it contains liquid. I came back to the post office to ask why if the airline wouldn't accept the package they still shipped it and charged me money.Clerk in the office sent me to the postmaster since she didn't know the answer. Postmaster immediately told me that this is not a USPS issue but the airline issue and they won't re-send the package or give me my money back. When I asked why did they accept the package if they knew that they can't ship it for me she said that it's not their job to make sure the packages get delivered, they only take care of accepting the packages. I naively thought that it's the post office's only job to get things delivered. She told me to go to FedEx and that she won't help me. Wasted time, wasted money, and interaction with an incredibly rude postmaster.

I find this post office more efficient than the Summit PO nearer to my home. They are always better stocked as well with the type of stamps that I need.

I have no problem with the post office. The people are nice and helpful. However the mail delivery the past year since Leo left has been terrible. I have found neighbors mail dropped in the street and have not gotten several regular bills in my delivery.

I had a packaged that was mailed to my old address in error (Chatham). It was dresses for our granddaughters to wear to a special occasion. We gave Sonia (postal employee) a tracker number. She went out of her way to help my husband track the package and secure it from the postman. We are truly grateful and appreciate the dedication and care. This Post Office has always been a helpful place for the past 30 years with dedicated and caring employees. My husband and I thank you Sonia and Mr. Edward (postman) for the help. Our granddaughters are thrilled that they get to wear their new dresses.

I have never dealt with such an inconsistent Post Office. I have lived in Chatham for over one year and I continue to get mail left on our front steps which sometimes get wet, instead of inside our locked door in the mailbox where it is supposed to be placed. It depends on the day if the mail carrier decides to place it in the mailbox or not. Also, pieces of important mail have not been delivered consistently which is very frustrating. When I call the post office, they do not help whatsoever. Can't wait to move out of the town in a few months and never have to deal with this post office again. The worst service!!!

When we moved into Chatham Hill apartments, it took them 2 and a half weeks to put a new lock and key on our mailbox. I called multiple times and was given the run around and was told that the guy whose responsibility it was to do this was on vacation. God forbid someone covers for him... Then when we moved back into our house, they weren't delivering our mail and I had to go down to PO and sort it out.

Our regular carrier, Dan, is terrific. Daily mail by 11:00 am, and all packages to the door. When its not him, mail arrives by 2-3:00 pm and packaging, more often than not, are tossed out the window of the truck against my mailbox and lie near the street. Anyone could take them, plus its often wet there. If you can't do your job any better than that, think about a new job. I also had a fill-in, a girl, who drove off the side of my driveway last year, got stuck and left a 12 ft patch up the side of my driveway. Could you leave me your address, I'd like to come over to where you live and trash it. You're all sad. Maybe Dan could give you lessons.

today i got mail for 22 highland when i live at 26. Moreover when i brought the mail for 22 to drop into their mailbox; i noticed they had mail for 18 highland. This is pathetic. The office is nice but mail delivery has been very inconsistent of late.

This is the greatest post office I have ever been in. They actually have two post offices a few feet apart. In some parts of the country the USPS is cutting back. But in Chatham? Nope, they get TWO!😱

My company does 3 large mailings a year for marketing. Patrice saw me with 4 larges boxes of bubble mailers prepaid, right near their closing time and she welcomed me and showed me where to put the boxes. She was so pleasant and answered all of my questions about the post office. I will come here next time definitely!

If I could give 0 stars for this post office for my experience today I would. After waiting 18 minutes in line, I walked up to the register and Fabricio was there to greet me with "this should be ready before you even step up here" in a rude and condescending tone. Well hello to you too! The reason my labels weren't on the envelope yet was because it was my first time mailing something certified, and I had a question that needed to be answered before committing to it. The certified labels had already been filled out... and it's not my problem that they have an 18 minute line and only 2 people working. Fabricio needs a lesson in customer service!
