It was pricey but my daughter got a bear and she got one for her dad. They both had voice activator in them they got outfits and it was a great experience

There are roughly 7,100 different languages in the world, and absolutely none of them have a word that could accurately describe the kindness and compassion the employee Maya brings to her job at this Build a Bear every single day. I brought in a pride axolotl build a bear that was made on a date with my toxic ex-partner. Inside of the axolotl was a sound chip of his voice I wanted removed. Maya went above and beyond to make my pride axolotl more than just tolerable— she gave it a completely new life! I have never seen an employee spend so much time and effort making sure the seams were perfect. She even did an entirely new heart ceremony with me! I have seen her a few times, and she is always the most upbeat, kind, and fun employee in the entire mall. Tonight, I went in to treat myself to a new capybara build a bear to celebrate being one year clean, and was absolutely delighted to see Maya again. She was on her way out of the door when I came in, as I arrived right before closing, and had already clocked out, but stayed and said and celebrated my milestone with me despite being done her shift. Maya has restored my faith in humanity bit by bit with every interaction. The company is SO lucky to have her!!

Kelly the manager was extremely rude to us aswell as her employees, corporate needs to cut their losses. The other employees were fantastic and provided us a great experience.

Recently I had the absolute JOY of coming into this store with my 9 year old daughter for her birthday. We were greeted by Rae, and her bubbly energy made my daughter feel amazing on her special day. After my daughter made her selection with her guidance, Rae stuffed the bear and did the sweet heart ceremony with a smile on her face. She is a natural! I’ve never had such a pleasant experience at a Build A Bear so if you’re at the Cherry Hill mall, it’s definitely worth the stop!

Went in for my daughter's 1st birthday bear. My husband went to the counter and told the staff member that's what we were there for.
The staff member told my husband to pick out any bear. Which I thought was weird and maybe I should have questioned it but I was excited.
So we picked out the axolotl and went through the whole process even left a special message of us singing happy birthday for her.
My 2 year son was there too and we picked him out a raptor he went through the whole process with his too and he was getting antsy.
When we got to the counter they were like "yeah no, it's not this bear, you have to get the birthday bear." Which I knew was the case... So they told us we could go through the whole process again with the birthday bear and we ultimately decided not to because my son was really over it.
It just was not a pleasant experience for my daughter's birthday.
Cute axolotl, I guess... Lol. Glad I paid the price of a small mortgage for it.
We will not be going back.
