Was great when I went to get my llc started but I called 4 times left voice mail 2 times no return call. I was trying to get my taxs done for the yr as I mentioned when llc was opened. Finally got ahold of them set a date almost 1 and half away to come in and litterly have a conversation that can be done over the phone litterly just needed to know is there a issue with filling late because i could not get a hold of them to get it done. But I have to give $225 to ask that and I'm told it will be deducted if they do my taxes. Lol well as i said i switched and came to flash tax to handle all the business taxes. Little frustrated because the business is very late filling I'm never late on anything and this experience is frustrating and wasn't expecting to be ignored.

I went to write a review, which I never do, and am definitely seeing a trend this year. Lauren was beyond terrible. She sent a mass e-mail and said the deadline to submit taxes to her office was March 18th. We submitted them before that date. Next mass email was April 7th stating she filed everyone an extension due to Covid exposure on April 2nd and they were working on a first in first out basis. No other communication. On April 30th we emailed to ask her to provide an estimate of our filing status and a rough estimate on how much we should prepay. The reply on 5/3 was “we are currently working on returns received the first two weeks of March. We have an extensive backlog to work through. We cannot provide an estimate and will reach out to you.” How is that even possible? By the end of May I did not hear a word and picked up my taxes to have someone else complete them, at which time they replied, “ you were way down on the list.” I will now owe interest..
This is negligence.

Very bad service this year. Would not recommend. Charged $100 extra for each email with minor questions about tax organizer information. Another $100 for scanning documents without being told that would be charged. Would send automatic replies saying don’t call or email the office with any questions. Then when I asked about reducing the fees for these things as they were not communicated to us and seemed unfair, she said she will not do my tax returns this year a few days before 4/15. She was very abrupt and frankly rude. No discussion or trying to understand. Just plain rude. She also made a huge error on my prior year return worth thousands of dollars because she missed a deduction. And she didn’t even admit it when I asked about it. Maybe that’s why she was so rude - to avoid admitting she didn’t know about a basic tax deduction that a reputable accountant would have known. Now I need to amend last year’s returns. Looks like she is trying to get rid of her smaller clients as I just read some other reviews and doesn’t care about being rude to clients.

Terrible service this year. I started using Lauren 5/6 years ago. This year she could not even return my call. I assume they are too busy with corporate accounts that regular people do not matter.
Feels great to be discarded. I got a new account and moved on after several auto replies. Loyalty definitely did not get rewarded here. Good luck.

Lauren abandoned us during the tax filing only because we commented to her about something in the process of submitting the forms, a kind of constructive comment to make it easier for us financially. Lauren kicked us out from her office the most horrible way and sent us an email that she was not willing to work with us anymore.
This is the most brutal way to act with a client.

Lauren and her team are great to work with!!! We are so glad we were "fired" by our prior tax accountant when we questioned an error he made. That gave us the opportunity to utilize Flash Tax and we are so grateful to have found this tax service. Lauren and her team are organized and efficient. Information can be securely shared through the Flash Tax online portal. There is always effective communication via email or on the phone. Can't say enough good things. We highly recommend using this firm for your tax preparation needs.

I simply cannot say enough amazing things about Lauren at Flash Tax. I found myself in a terrible bind when my prior tax preparer attempted to extort me for returns he learned I needed to secure a mortgage the following week. In a panic, I found Lauren through reviews online, and even though she was clearly up to her ears in work (it was mid-March!), she felt so bad about what this other accountant had done that she squeezed me in as a client, working with me late on a Friday night to get my returns done.Had she simply been willing to help a stranger out in a pinch, that would have earned my long-term loyalty. But it was much more than that: Lauren does incredible, thorough work. I'm self-employed via an S-Corp I own, and not only did she expertly navigate a combination of complex business and personal returns for both federal and state taxes, but she discovered mistakes my previous accountant had made, saving me significant money. And she did it all incredibly quickly and efficiently. Just a consummate pro in every way.Plus, she's hilarious and cool and smart as hell.Hiring Lauren is just one of the best decisions I've ever made. If you're looking for someone to work with, stop your search here. Lauren's as good as it gets.
